He thoroughly checked out our system and said it would be good for another couple of years. Fast forward years later, ground hogs had gotten into our crawl space and tore out all the insulation away from our ducts among other damage, several of our rooms were not getting any heat or air. Joseph came out and gave us an estimate to replace our heater and air conditioning. His was the lowest estimate and we knew we could trust him. He got us good deals, with discounts to work within our budget. First day he was here he spent 8 hours repairing and replacing everything in the crawl space!!! I couldn't believe he worked in that small space for that long. He and his workers were very respectful, one told us that no one else would spend the time he did figuring out problems and making sure we would be happy with our new system. He came back a few weeks later to make sure we were happy with everything and that everything was working properly. He did a very thorough inspection of everything and even complimented my husband on his landscaping around the air conditioning unit. I would feel confident in recommending Scientific Air to anyone and everyone.

I feel I need to begin a special column for Proto Plumbing & all the great things they have done in…read moremy new home. I just purchased a 3 year old home 3 months ago. Within the first 6 days I had a heating problem. The heat died! On December 13th 2025 I had a water heater main line break which flooded much of my house. The shut off valve was sandwiched too close between the water heater & the wall. A ten year old child could not have reached that valve! The water heater had to be moved away from the wall & the shut off value was placed in a more accessible spot. Yesterday, Jan. 8th 2026, my master bath developed another water leak under the sink. Apparently the house was bult with tubing too close to the vanity drawers so that basically every time you shut a drawer you hit the plastic coupling that held 2 pipes together. Just a matter of time before that ruptured, which it did on my watch! Patrick Goodyear came on the scene at 8 am Jan. 8th, for what he must have assumed would be an easy fix of a leak. Then he discovered major repair work was needed as not only did he have to reroute the pipes, but then on inspection of other parts of the house he found water at the base of the power vent water heater & he also noticed that the expansion tank on the water heater had expired & so he replaced that. It should not have happened in an almost 3 year old house. He found several other anomalies & was replacing parts & repairing things for 5 hours! He installed a hard water mitigating filter system that will remove or reduce chlorine & other impurities. Patrick was great, kind, efficient, patient with my questions & explained the problems he found & showed me where he found issues that needed to be corrected. I would recommend this very valuable young man to everyone I know! I will certainly stay a loyal Pronto customer! I believe he has fixed enough of my house plumbing now so that I won't need to call them every other week! Thank you Pronto Plumbing & Heating for your speed!

One star / low rating for the unprofessional and rude behavior and lack of professional response…read morewith the plumber I talked to several weeks ago - I never got any service due to the issue of the individual I had phone calls with on three separate days over the course of about a week. The phone calls ending with their representative hanging the phone up on me after being strangely rude and aggressive. In defense of the company, I never got a chance to have the services of the company reviewed due to the terrible interactions I had with the plumber over the phone. My landlord gave me their number since years ago they did some work on the house I'm in, and I called to set up someone to come out and help with a couple problems at the house. First conversation with the man who answered, I felt the plumber was quite, oddly rude throughout the call and he eventually tried grill me for giving him numbers of dates instead of days of the week? I kind of laughed it off a bit and assumed perhaps the individual was having a rough day or was busy around the holidays for benefit of the doubt. He tells me to essentially call him to come out to my house the morning of the date we planned on. When I did call him the next week on the morning we planned on, he had seemingly completely forgotten the conversation we had last week or never wrote anything down because he needed all of my information again, as well as had to ask me about the problems in my home all over again even after stating he remembered me eventually. The plumber then stated he wasn't sure if he would have time to come to my home on that date we planned on, again that is frustrating but it was around the busy holidays so I tried to be flexible. He told me he would call me by the end of the day to let me know if he was coming out that day or if he had to wait and come out two days later. I made sure to specifically clarify if he was going to call me back today regardless of what was going on (because I do this typically with anyone), and he stated that he surely would call me back, as that is what he always does. Then later that evening I had no phone call and had to assume he was not coming out and going to come out two days later. It's frustrating because I had called off work extra for this occasion but I know some things can't be helped. Finally, after two more days, I call the plumber that morning to ask if he is coming out to my home on this day and why he did not call me back two days prior to let me know what was going on. This must have upset him to be called out on the phone call because without any further discussion or answering my questions he simply yelled and said I could call another company then and hung up the phone without giving me a chance to respond. So there was a whole week of my time wasted, and my problems remaining in my house for a week. I almost would have rather him act like a psycho on the first phone call so I could have just called someone else sooner. Again, I can only hope this is a single occasion of the way this plumber treated someone over the phone even - but I would not want someone like that in my home in the first place and felt the need to tell others about my experience. I hope someone finds this helpful to look elsewhere or hopefully there's more than one guy working there and I was just one of the unlucky customers.

In 2020, I contacted UGI about installing gas service. I had previously reached out to them and…read morethe cost would have been $800. This time, the line was free as long as gas appliances were hooked up within a certain time frame. We had two huge oil tanks in the basement and the oil furnace was large; all of these were removed. The estimator was fabulous and described how all the work would be done and how long it would take. The installation went pretty well but for some reason, the crew put the meter directly in front of the our driveway water spigot. The estimator came back the day of the installation and seemed as perplexed as me so he got a pipe wrench and removed the meter and reversed its position to effectively move it about a foot. The fellas who came to the house to remove the old furnace and replace it were incredible. It happened to be one of the hottest days of the year and I was working from home and didn't like the idea of being without air conditioning while they replaced the furnace. No worries: from the time they began work, at 8am, until the new furnace was installed and the air conditioning was working, was less than two hours. I was hugely impressed that those gigantic oil tanks were removed up the interior steps and out the kitchen door. They were even larger in appearance in the driveway than they looked in the basement and I am grateful to have them gone. Anyway, things went well. The estimator came back to check on the progress throughout the day of installation and came back afterward to make a small adjustment at my request. Oddly, the condensate pump on the furnace stopped working while we were away on vacation so we came home to a sweltering house. I called UGI and within an hour, a technician came, diagnosed the problem, and replaced the pump. Switching from oil to a high-efficiency, multi-speed gas furnace has been the most-sound investment in the house. The new furnace works reliably, quietly, efficiently, and provides more comfort than the older one -- which was still in great condition -- I just wanted to switch.
