The store itself is actually really beautiful. It's got a great vibe but the sales people are pushy as hell. I came in the other day to check out the mens shorts. I grabbed the pair I wanted to try and was brought another pair of shorts to check out. I passed. After was brought a random t-shirt to check out. I said I was fine and headed toward the dressing room. Before I could make it inside another sales person came at me with ANOTHER pair of shorts. The shorts ended up not looking right on me but I couldn't just leave. I had to be questioned as to why I didn't like them and why they didn't fit right. I was ready to head out & the sales person holds up a pair of woman's high waisted white denim shorts saying "hear me out". I'm non-binary and pretty androgynous. I came in looking at the mens clothes & wanting mens clothes. There's not a single thing about me that screams "I love high waisted woman's shorts". Please be more aware of your customers. read more

NO ONE MAKES A COMFIER T-shirt haha it's funny because shirts are so basic but their shirts are seriously so comfy. Love the simple style of all their stuff, I've got pants, shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, and all my buck mason stuff has been great. However, the reason I'm writing this review is because I stopped in the shop for the first time. Up until last week I'd been ordering online through my roommate who also shops here a ton. Been burned a couple of times by some apparel companies that advertise through Instagram but saw that THEY have a store on Sunset and decided to go in if I can find a spot to park. It seems Odd to review a clothing store but I shall give it a shot. Buck Mason is a menswear clothing store that seems to focus on Minimal essential pieces for men. With that in mind, I decided to check out their store in LA to see some of the styles they had. Welcomed by a nice Sales associate, I felt at piece to shop freely without someone lingering over me. The important thing with Clothing stores is to have a Associate that is nice and gives you space when you shop. When I was ready to try a couple items, the Associate took me to the dressing room and even took the extra step by asking my girlfriend if she wanted water. A nice touch that I noticed. Overall, My experience was great. I don't shop at department stores or mall type spots for my clothes. I expected a great environment and that is exactly what I got. As far as the Clothing goes..... In my opinion, Buck Mason offers the best quality T-shirt selection. I have tried brands from J.Crew to A.P.C & none compare to the cut, material, or cost. 5 out of 5 for Buck Mason! read more

What a great store, centrally located in the Silverlake/Sunset Junction area. Ever since I've discovered this BM store a few years back...Buck Mason's basic T-shirts is my go-to brand. I love the color palette selections for their T-shirts like muted tones of greens, earth, grey and blues, etc. For men's basic, BM is one of the few that offers excellent styling with the curved hem, high-quality materials and craftsmanship at a great price. Their basic T-shirt is only $32 which is amazing compared to other brands like JCrew, Club Monaco, Alternative Apparel, James Perse, etc. My favorite is their Slub Hem Tees. Super comfortable and looks great with any pair of jeans, blue or grey. Very friendly and helpful staff with lots of product knowledge to help you select the right item. read more

Classic pieces, gorgeous fabric, locally produced, reasonable prices. Despite the hassles of the location, this is my favorite Buck Mason store (too bad it's so far from home) and my guys get most of their shirts here. I have had no issues with shirts showing wear or shrinking, and some of the t-shirts are years old. The jeans are nice too, but the shirts are the reason to stop by. And the store has a cool aesthetic. And the salespeople strike the perfect balance of helpful but not intrusive. We have made the trek to Silver Lake at least twice solely to go to this store. read more

I believe the person who helped me was named Chris. They were so kind and helpful (the kind of retail employee you want working at every store). The other person working in the store seemed really unhelpful honestly, they were "helping" someone in the dressing room but they weren't being very attentive to them nor did this person greet me. As a ex-retail worker, they just weren't my favorite but Chris was amazing. He double checked to make sure I didn't need anything else and changed my email in the system so I could actually get my receipt. Definitely recommend going here for men's basics that are good quality. read more

I'll keep this brief-- I've had some Buck Mason shirts for a year now, and they're just my favorite. They age well, haven't shrunk and have a super flattering cut. I appreciate that the sleeve doesn't come that far down your arm. Has a nice James Dean feel to it, yknow? On top of all this, the customer service is just fantastic. I walked in there over the weekend and showed Kevin the holes in my Buck Mason shirt, which I just assumed were from moths. Kevin told me it could be the way they're washing, and If I wanted, he'd exchange the shirt for a brand new one free of charge. I walked out of there with a fresh new tee and this sexy chocolate brown, felted chore coat. Just A+ to this place in my book. Kevin takes care of ya. read more

Beautiful and high-end while still being reasonably priced. The staff are really great and make you feel welcomed as if you've been a customer regular for years. The shirts are also really high quality and they have sales every so often if you don't want to break the bank but want to buy several items. There are no female clothes at this store, but it's perfect if you want to get something simple but good quality for that special someone. Parking is easy and can be found along the street (metered) and neighborhood. The store is located along a nice street along with a diner and a few other high end stores. Great store, great location, I'd highly recommend coming here if you need a wardrobe update! read more

As someone who has been supporting Buck Mason brand for four years I have been disappointed that all of there line except the t-shirts are made in China, Indonesia and other parts of the world where they're not compensating there work force fairly. I supported these guys because they were small and local. Will continue to buy there t-shirts they are made locally but that will be it. I can get the same quality pants a Jcrew for about half of what I pay at Buck Mason. read more

I have spent several hundred dollars here on t-shirts and oxfords. Off the rack, small items fit me, and medium sizes are a bit large. Typically, in this situation I'd buy my shirts a size up and assume there'd be some shrinking going on in the wash. However, I was assured REPEATEDLY that the shirts were pre-washed and shouldn't shrink much at all, so I went with small. What happened after I washed these shirts once? You guessed it, they shrank to toddler size. Not only that, they shrink into an awkward, inconsistent fit. I now have a wardrobe of boxy, unwearable shirts, and they have my money. Don't let the hipster branding and expensive prices fool you - this is straight-up low quality product. Look elsewhere. read more

I never write reviews, but this is nonsense. Another review mentions ruining whites when washed with a green Buck Mason shirt, this complaint is similar. So, shortly after purchasing a few t-shirts from Buck Mason (I had a gift certificate from Christmas) I noticed I had blue stains on my skin and I wasn't sure where it had come from until I noticed that it was from the blue t-shirt I had recently purchased. 3 washes later, I could still rub this overpriced t-shirt on a piece of white paper and see the dye still rubbing off. At one point I spot treated a small part of the t-shirt with detergent and a soft bristle tooth brush as I would any t-shirt and threw it in the wash. The dye came out enough to the point that I was left with a white spot on a blue shirt. For the cost of the shirt, the dye job is absolutely pathetic. I can't justify purchasing anything else from Buck Mason after this experience. In the end, I'm just glad I didn't ruin my couch or sheets from the shirt rubbing off on them, which I'm positive would have. read more
