For a few years, I have driven by Buck or Two Plus, a dollar store on Main Street. Last week, I was at the LCBO when I decided to check this store out afterwards. I went to my car to put away my booze before heading inside.
I love a good dollar store. A bunch of Canada Day items greeted me when I walked in. If you love plushies, specifically Ty, you must come here. This store has a huge assortment. As its name suggests, a large Ty plushie is more than two dollars, so the Plus part of the name makes perfect sense.
The snacks and food sections always appeal to me. There were lots of spices in bottles. From ramen noodles to Kool-Aid, you can find them here.
I was impressed seeing digestive cookies with no sugar added. It was a rare site for me to see such a product at a dollar store. I appreciated seeing them. My dad would be happy with them, as he's the only person I know who enjoys digesting digestive cookies.
The chips and dip are located in a corner at the front, closest to the LCBO next door. There was also Old Dutch beef jerky and Twists that I enjoy snacking on.
This store looks tiny from the front. It's highly misleading. It's pretty deep once you are inside the store. It has so many interesting items. Seeing a pink craft hammer was different. It was my first time seeing a pink hammer in my life, likely preying on the stereotype that crafty females would like all things pink. Now, if it came in purple, I'd likely jump on it.
I ended up getting a couple bottles of pop from the fridge. I had to line up, as there was one man ahead of me.
The woman at the store was extremely friendly. When I first walked into the store, she said hi to me immediately. She was equally as friendly at the checkout.
I paid with a debit card. She asked me whether I needed a bag. Nope, I was good. I thanked her and happily left with my drinks.
You do need to pull the front door open to get in and push it to leave the store. It's the only downside if you require assistance getting through the door or are carrying a lot of items.
I was happy to finally visit the store at long last. I'd drop by again. It was a nice change of pace from the other two major dollar stores, Dollarama and Dollar Tree.
