We booked it based on reviews and when we showed up at 9 pm we were too tired to notice exactly how bad it was. Although the check in process was a hint. The man wouldn't make eye contact and barely spoke to me. It took him an extraordinary long time to check me in. Another couple happened to walk in behind me and they also noticed how awkward it was. He Didn't explain anything. So let me mention a few details about the room. The curtains including the curtain rod did not even extend to cover the window fully. There was used soap in the shower and there was only 1 towel for 2 people. According to my reservation confirmation and their website a continental breakfast is included but the only food in breakfast room was stale bread and cereal. After we checked in we never saw anyone that worked there again. Did run into a young couple who told me that they had to sleep outside in vehicle bc despite paying for a room online. They couldn't not raise anyone by shouting or using the phone at desk. My husband walked by the front desk several times in the morning and saw no body. He did see however that the laundry room was completely nonfunctional. Not that we needed it but others often wash clothes on an extended trip. There appeared to be several, like almost all the rooms on 2 nd floor unoccupied. In that case why not put us in a room that didn't face highway and hear all the highway noise? "well i wouldn't turn it down". of course he wouldn't turn it down. that's why he was sitting there in the first place every night. as a business employee he should have stayed in his room or the office anywhere but right in our faces every night so your guests could have enjoyed their meals with out a mooch shadily begging for food. and everything i've just said is 100% the honest to god truth. so anyone that says good about this place was either lucky to have an ok stay or they were paid to post their review. because i know what they did to us and i know what they're trying to do to my brother and i am certain that deputy didn't just make that stuff up. he was visibly disgusted with having to constantly deal with that motel. and be aware richard i've hit a screen shot of you claiming to have recorded me without my consent or be told i was being recorded and i'm going to press that legally to the fullest extent i can. count on that. have a pleasant afternoon richard. such a fitting name. what's the short version of richard....dick. that fits just perfect. see ya

I wanted a hotel that was convenient to everything we would be doing--not too far from the high school or the fairgrounds, and close to restaurants, shopping, and other places we needed to get to. The location was perfect for us. We were only about a 6-minute drive from Reynolds Market, which we absolutely loved and ended up visiting several times during our stay. Being so close to so many things made getting around during a very busy reunion weekend incredibly easy. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable, but what really made our stay special was the staff. Everyone we encountered was so kind, friendly, and welcoming. At check-in, we met Aiden, who seemed to be there quite a bit during our stay. He is such a nice young man--very polite, helpful, and always pleasant to deal with. And I absolutely have to give a special shout-out to Karen, who took care of breakfast every morning. That woman worked SO hard! She was constantly making sure everyone was fed, keeping everything stocked, and taking care of all the little things that needed to be done. She was always working and always pleasant, even when it was obvious she had a lot on her plate. I really liked her, and I made a point of tipping her every morning. I hope other guests do the same because she truly deserves it! Honestly, every employee we encountered was kind to us, and they made us feel so welcome that I found myself wanting to do little nice things for them in return. That says a lot about the people who work here. Coming back to Glendive for my 35th high school reunion was already special, and having such a clean, comfortable, convenient place to stay made the weekend even better. I asked about an early check-in, and although our room was already cleaned and ready, there was no flexibility in allowing us to check in early. I understand hotels have policies, but given the circumstances--and the fact that it was literally 100 degrees outside--a little consideration would have gone a long way. We also did not receive housekeeping during our stay, which was unexpected given the price point. My biggest frustration, though, has been with items I accidentally left behind in a drawer after checkout. I contacted the hotel hoping to have them returned, but more than a month later, they are still "looking" for them. I even had a co-worker stop by the hotel in person to pick them up, but unfortunately, the staff would not look for the items while she was there. I completely understand that leaving my belongings behind was my mistake. However, I had hoped for more effort and responsiveness in helping me recover them. Overall, it was the lack of flexibility and follow-through that made the experience so disappointing. On a positive note, everything else about our time in Medora was five stars. The room had a decent size fridge, a stove, microwave, and a dishwasher but I only used the fridge. Be aware that because of the appliances, there is a lot of ambient light - bring your eye shade to sleep if you like it dark. I found the bed to be comfortable, the water pressure in the shower was good and there was plenty of hot water. I didn't visit the pool or spa, so can't comment on those. There are 8 or 9 selections for the complementary breakfast. The breakfast biscuit was quite good if you like sausage and it had a real egg. There's a small store in the lobby with some hand made items, kitchen supplies, and some snacks.
