This is a continuation of my dental saga from this morning (see my review for Tend Buckhead written about two hours ago- spoiler I walked out because I didn't agree with their terms). I have a chipped tooth and Rebecca at Buckhead Dental Group was kind enough to ask a dentist at this practice to work me in on short notice. Rebecca is a total dear- so kind and sweet. She sets the tone for the office as a point of first contact and gave me every confidence my issue would be addressed. I cannot say enough for my positive experience. Dr. Abera was kind enough to see me and take a look at my mouth prior to extensive cleaning, X-rays, etc. This practice (unlike TEND) did not require extensive X-rays prior to even *speaking* with the dentist (avoid Tend buckhead!!!). My chip, as I suspected, required no filling or X-rays- just a bit of smoothing. I was in and out and the doc made time for me to ensur4e everything was addressed properly. She was kind and attentive, her assistant was absolutely amazing and sweet. I couldn't be happier and will bringing my entire family here for future visits. She even said I had nice teeth which I really appreciated! In a world where massive dental conglomerates buy small family practices and then make it about dollars, this is still a practice that has integrity and puts the welfare of their patients FIRST. They have my business and all of my recommendations moving forward! Twenty stars if I could award that many. Thank you so much to the whole team at Buckhead Dental Group for making me feel so at home and listening to my needs during a (potential) dental emergency. For the record as it relates to my experience at Tend Buckhead: you SHOULD NOT agree to any dental procedures without speaking to a dentist first. I have been patient at this dental practice for so many years can't even recall the first time I went there. Perhaps it was in 1989. I was a patient Dr Lewis Freedman who reconstructed my best friends' fathers mouth so I went. Most unfortunately he passed away recently and his brother Charles has taken over most of his patients. I have been a white knuckle fraidy cat for most of my life. Had fillings when I was little with no Novocain. But everyone there has assured me that the easiest thing they can do is to not hurt me. And it's TRUE. They don't have a big flashy office with a lot of wasted space but it has everything. Their location on Piedmont in Buckhead was established by Dr.s Freedman's father many years ago and at some point DR Weitman was added to the staff. He works closely with their in house ceramicist which is novel in todays world. They are really like a family to me. I go in every 6 months for a cleaning and a review from the Dr. They have fixed broken teeth, done root canals, caps, fillings and pulled a tooth or two. I have the utmost confidence in everyone at this treasure of a find. read more

I have been a patient of this practice for many years and have experienced care from both Drs Freedman, Dr. Weitman well as another Dentist who was part of the practice during the 40 years I have lived in Atlanta. A recent broken molar and because I no longer lived in the Buckhead area prompted me to explore a new Dental Chain Store that had opened near my home. Hoping to Save some money and travel time I made an appointment but the initial experience and diagnosis left me feeling unenthused and the estimate was higher than expected so I decided to return to my roots (yes, pun intended) where I found much better professional care AND, at a more reasonable cost. I have doubts there are many dental practices anywhere that can match this group of professional's competence, experience and facilities. This practice has become more of a family matter to me than just another competent service provider plus, it is always nice to see and greet all the employees that have been there for as long as I have been a recipient of their care. Dr Louis Freedman was my friend and dentist for 40 years. After his untimely passing, his brother Dr Charles Freedman has taken wonderful care of my dental needs and yesterday Dr Kamy did a magnificent job repairing two chipped teeth for me! So yeah, forgive me for not going into detail about this place, as it been quite a while since I've been to the dentist (as I'm sure most of you can relate). However, my overal experience was very good overall! My doctor, Dr. Weitman, is soooooo friendly, so friendly that he even refered himself as Terrell (his first name) when he introduced himself for the first time. The hygentist was incredibly nice too. I really appreciate the fact that she was extremely gentle when she was using flossing me and using the dental pic. I got kinda cheesed out though when she would giggle every time she made a comment. So if your main concern with choosing a dentist is getting that gentle, friendly atomphere, I would recommend this place! They even have a variety of flavorings when it comes time to rinsing! This place is on Piedmont right near the Buckhead Bread Factory, and the Buckhead diner. If you blink, you'll literally miss it. Which is one of the reasons for the 3 stars. Never fear my fellow yelp reader, there is tons of parking in the back though. read more

I have been a patient since 1990. Hated cleanings and dentists in the past. Now, I keep my 6 month cleanings and have had several procedures, all with littel to no discomfort. Dr. Weitman is awesome. The staff is friendly and helpful. Great selection of magazines but the wait is short so I do not get to read long before they call me back. read more

I've been going to this office since 1973. Due to an emergency (around1977) I became a patient of Dr. Weitman. I'm still a patient after all these years. I even made a special trip to come to Atlanta when I lived in S.C. for a few years. He is the best possible dentist! He is so gentle and so proficient. Each of the dentists in this practice are so wonderful and at the very top of their field. Also, the ladies at the front desk are consistently excellent and so very nice. I am truly blessed as a patient, and you will be too. read more

I just moved to Atlanta and was searching for a dentist and was so happy to find these guys! My appointment was their 1st of the morning and after filling out paperwork they promptly saw me. All of the staff I encountered were very nice and the Hygienist explained everything she was doing. The dentist (Freedman, not sure which one, oops) was really nice and conversational. I have a chip in one of my teeth from when I was a kid. I had it filled then but it fell out a few years ago. Another dentist I went to in NY told me I should have it fixed and it was going to cost around $900 (with insurance). When Freedman saw the chip he asked if it was bothering me and I said no, and he said not to worry about it. It was really nice that he didn't try to upsell me for something I didn't actually need. Dr. Weitman saved me after a terrible root canal. Other dentists said a crown couldn't be done, but he skillfully did one! So glad I didn't have to have surgery, as three other dentists told me. He is also super nice and extremely experienced. He is so down to earth and humble that you wouldn't guess at his expertise. It's been about 4 years and my crown is still just right. read more

i am so glad i found them!!! my mom used to go here (b/f she moved out of ATL) and my aunt continues to go here. i love Dr. C. Freedman. he's quite simply the best. he's so nice and compassionate. helpful and attentive. i had quite a few cavities (not naming how many, it's too embarrassing, however it's less than the # of years it's been since visiting a dentist). he is out-of-the network with my insurance, but he's prices are in line with my insurance's so they still pay it. i don't know if they accept new patients, but if they do, you must visit Dr. Freedman. his name is Charles, not the other Freedman. the entire staff is great. always going out of their to accommodate any needs. Fran, the insurance specialist, is awesome! they have their own, free parking lot. Dr. Freedman is always so cheerful and sings sings sings while he works on you. i love him!!! read more

Dr. Terrell Weitman is experienced, kind, relaxed, patient and a skilled tooth/dental crafts person. Just what you need when you have to have your mouth drilled in...So grateful for a master dentist! read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Weitman's since 1977, when I was in high school! This is a throwback practice in that the dentists, hygienists and staff go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and appreciated. This is also not a practice that will push unnecessary services or procedures on you. I now live in Sandy Springs but will continue to come back to FF&W. read more

This is the best dental group in Atlanta. Over a 30 year relationship with them as a patient, they have provided detailed and excellent service related to a series of problems that have included root canals, crowns, dental implants, while helping me remain cavity free (all of my problems have related to an adolescent injury that injured all of my front teeth, which were saved at the time). I have been served by all of the named dentists in the partnership, and they are all highly competent and personable. read more

After being a patient for years I am sad to report this office has lost my familiy's business due to poor customer service. I see there has not been any yelp reviews since 2012 (all positive) so it makes me wonder if there has been a change in the way the office is managed. I was called at 3:35 today for my 4:00 appointment telling me "they were ahead of schedule and ready to see me". It is usually a 15 minute drive for me so I got in my car to get there early. Unfortunately I missed my turn due to being cut off by another driver and almost getting in a wreck that put me in stand still Buckhead traffic. I called at 355 to say I would be 5 minutes late according to my GPS. They told me I had to reschedule. I was appalled that after being a patient for years to an outdated office with not the most convenient location I couldn't be seen over 5 minutes. The one thing that kept us coming back to the office was the service. They are very quick and very nice. Also I do not feel they try to sell you on anything or try any unnecessary procedures. Another bonus! Being a dental office for decades in Buckhead surely they have patients that are more than 5 minutes late due to the traffic in the area? I wonder what would have happened if I did not call. Their website states they are open 9am-5pm. It usually takes 30 minutes to clean my teeth. There would have been enough time to clean my teeth before 5pm if I arrived at 4:05. So therefore, I would not recommend this office if there is ever a chance you may be 5 minutes late. read more
