I take Kickboxing with Richard and Performance Fitness with Q although the gym offers other activities like jiu jitsu and muay thai. Richard and Q are the bomb diggity! No doubt. I am super not into working out and was as weak as a twig when I first started. However, the coaches, especially Q, really pay attention to your form and makes sure it's correct. My snatches and deadlifts were janky AF before going here. The Performance Fitness class he teaches are similar to Crossfit. They consists of a combination of weights and high intensity interval training exercises. Richard's Kickboxing classes are also great and he teaches us different techniques frequently. The exercises are not mundane and you get a good cardio workout. My svelte figure hasn't emerged yet, but I am stronger now and look forward to working out. Woot! I don't even know who I am anymore.

They will charge you hundreds of dollars regardless of whether you use the gym or not. Then if you don't pay, they will send your account to collections and DESTROY YOUR CREDIT!!! I have had perfect credit my entire life until these people continued to charge me for a membership I cancelled. I received no communication from the company at all and had no idea they were racking up charges on my account. I didn't realize until I was getting prequalified for a loan that Chamblee Team Octopus charged my account over $1100 and then sent the account into collections! My credit score dropped over 100 POINTS!!! And I had only been to the gym one time when I initially signed up! Shame on these people. When I called the business to inquire about this issue, they cited a 60-day notice policy to cancel and said I must pay nearly $400 to get my account out of collections. SERIOUSLY, BUYER BEWARE

Looking for a new, fun, and effective work out class? Look no further than Pepper Boxing Buckhead!…read moreAs a fitness girly I'm always looking for the next fun thing that challenges me and improves my physique. Pepper Boxing offers a variety of options from boxing group classes to group weight lifting classes. I personally love the weight lifting classes that are called Savage Body. They are instructed by Takeela and Katie. I love them! They challenge me and provide encouraging words that kick my work outs to the next level. They do offer one on one sessions but I have not tried them since I work out best in a group environment. The boxing classes don't fall short either, get ready to sweat! They do provide gloves and towels for you, so you don't have to worry about bringing your own. All the staff is welcoming and encouraging in your fitness journey. There is complimentary parking, so no fret on adding an extra cost to your budget. I know that can be a concern when living in the city. The studio also provides a locker room with shower amenities for your convenience in case you want to tidy up before leaving. I've been coming to this locating for a little over a year and have seen a great improvement in my body all around. I highly recommend this place for those starting their fitness journey or are well into it! This place is perfect for everyone all around!

I recommend documenting the trial dates from day one to avoid any confusion. I had an issue earlier in 2024 and ended up canceling, but I fully intend to rejoin in 2025. The studio is within walking distance from my apartment, and since Rumble never opened their Sandy Springs location, I'll be heading back to Pepper for another try!

This is the one & only place that I truly believe a 5 star rating just isn't enough! Where do I…read morestart.. This may be a long one so buckle up. First and foremost, I am just your average chick in the sense that I do NOT habitually workout, count my calories, meal prep, etc. I did have a membership at LA Fitness for 3 years (2015-2017) but was really only actively using it for 1 year so I finally made the decision to cancel it. I first step foot into this box July 4, 2017 when my boyfriend invited me to come to their post-WOD ("workout of the day") BBQ. I literally only came for the food, sorry! At the time I still held a membership at LA Fitness and had absolutely NO intentions of committing to another gym; Especially not CrossFit. But of course everyone urged me to give it a try and I left that day with the mindset that CrossFit was a cult (lol). [...Fast forward to March 2018 when the 2018 Reebok CrossFit Games were going on...] My boyfriend asked me to come to the box with him every Friday this month to record his WODs and so I did. On the last week of March, he spontaneously bought me a Groupon for their Fundamentals class ($32) and the rest was history... I've never found a fitness program that I enjoyed until I started CrossFit. Reasons why I love this program (and why it works for me): *Your WOD is created for you & released on their app (Wodify) 8PM the night before so you never have to pre-plan before coming. Plus, they're typically only 15-30mins long but it'll get your HR way up there bc of its style of HIIT. *You always work out in groups/classes which is motivating when you feel like stopping mid-workout but everyone around you is still going strong. Everyone is also so welcoming & full of encouragement! *If there is an exercise that you are unable to do, there is always a scaled version of it or some type of exercise you can do to work on those targeted muscles. *There is always a coach present to stretch you out as a group, ensure everyone warms up properly, & guide you throughout the WOD/correct your form if necessary. *They have a great sound system & nothing is better during a workout than music drowning out the sound of your pain. More about the Groupon Deal: Fundamental classes start at the beginning of every month. Classes are MWT @ 7:30PM for the first 4 weeks. You will then graduate to the intermediate class which you will be allowed to attend for the following 2 weeks and decide if you would like to purchase a membership. You get a cool swag bag for joining which includes free monthly body composition analysis at Max Nutrition. More about CrossFit Valitus: Classes are offered 6 days/week (Monday-Saturday) with M-F at 6AM, 7AM, 12PM, 4:30PM, 5:30PM, and 6:30PM and Saturday at 9AM or 10AM. Some Saturdays are partner workouts to which you're more than welcome to bring a friend/family member as long as they're familiar with the WOD's exercises. They're also open on Sundays at 12PM as an open gym so you can come and work on any exercise that needs improvement. Oh, did I mention you get access to Dynamo's Swim Club!? Lastly, there are currently 4 coaches and every single one of them is awesome in their own way. *Crystal--The owner and awesome fundamentals instructor *Art--The head coach who's great at making sure you're stretched out for you WOD and trains our triathlon team *Rene--Beast crossfitter who also holds flexibility and strength training classes a few times a week *Isa--Best WOD DJ and motivator since she Rx's just about every workout (sometimes 2-3x/day!) Whew, that was a long one but I warned you! I know CrossFit may seem intimidating and even scary to the average person but don't knock it till you try it. It's only been a little over 2 months for me and I've already seen changes within my body and PR'd more exercises than I could even count. I'll end off with this quote: "A year from now you will wish you had started today"

I think North Fulton is the second best of the Atlanta municipal golf courses behind Browns Mill…read more If I had to rank 'em, my list would be: 1. Browns Mill 2. North Fulton 3. Bobby Jones 4. Alfred Tup Holmes In terms of course conditions, I think Browns Mill and North Fulton are neck and neck. The conditions of the tee boxes, fairways, and putting greens are decent for munis. The greens in particular are in pretty good shape. Based upon my experiences with the four courses listed above, I think North Fulton is generally kept in the best condition. However, I like the layout and scenery of Browns Mill the most. North Fulton is located in Chastain Park, North Buckhead. There's a paved walking trail (Chastain Park Trail) that runs along the perimeter of the course. There are three tees: blue, white, and silver. From the blues (tips), the course measures 6,570 yards with a slope with a rating/slope of 71.9/126. Par 71 for men, par 73 for women. I do not think this course is very challenging and, quite frankly, some of the holes can get a little boring. In general, I do not think any of the Atlanta munis are very difficult and therefore, I think they are great courses for beginners and weekend hackers (like me). For the most part, the front nine is rather flat. There are more elevation changes on the back, but nothing too substantial. Water comes into play on a handful of holes. Rough is pretty much non-existent and it can be hard to find patches of grass on some swaths of fairway/rough. Nothing I would consider terrible though, unlike Tup Holmes: https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/alfred-tup-holmes-golf-course-atlanta-2?select=qx5IE_3iqkFVIqruClH6mA. There are hole markers, ball washers, and waste baskets at every tee (you'd be surprised at the number of courses that don't have them at every tee) and they look relatively new. There is an adequate number of water coolers throughout the course, but no restrooms. I recall a shoddy-looking shack on the back nine, but it was fenced/locked up. This is a popular course and, like Bobby Jones, can get rather crowded on weekends. They have multiple marshalls ("ambassadors") monitoring play, but still plan on a 5-hour round if you play on the weekend. Several of the holes are positioned closely together so it's not uncommon to run into groups playing other holes or hearing the word "FORE!" yelled out multiple times in a single round. There is no driving range so you'll just have to hit a terrible tee shot and warm up on the front nine. There are two practice putting greens, in nice shape, in front of the clubhouse. There's really not a convenient bag drop at this course. The closest parking is on the street and there's a dirt lot you can park in a short ways down. I paid $45 after tax for my weekend morning round. This included the City of Atlanta resident discount (yes, residents get discounts so be sure to show your ID if you live in the city). The pro shop is big and basic with a TV, sofa, some golf equipement, apparel, food (hot dogs), snacks (chips, cookies, crackers), and drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Surprisingly and unfortunately, no beverage cart was seen during our entire round. The folks in the clubhouse were friendly. All in all, I think North Fulton is an OK golf course. It's economical and easy to get to if you live in the city. If you're not a golf snob and just want to get out and play, an enjoyable round can certainly be had here.

I also had a problem with them honoring a coupon that I purchased through their own website. The manager was like well i do all the coupons and I didnt put that one up even though I had printed that the same morning and paid for my tee time at the reduced rate. If you want to check it out its always good to try a new course but I wont be back due to my experience.
