We were visiting from California and wandered into Buckle just to browse, but ended up having one of the best shopping experiences we've ever had! The staff was absolutely amazing from the moment we walked in. Kayla truly embodied the Buckle mission statement of creating the most enjoyable shopping experience possible for their guests. She picked out clothes for me that I would have never thought to try on, and they ended up looking great! She was patient, kind, and genuinely excited to help. Her positive energy was off the charts! They even got my husband to try on clothes (which almost never happens), and he actually enjoyed the experience. That alone says a lot about how welcoming and supportive the team was. I really hope the managers know how incredible the staff at this store are because they made such a lasting impression on us. The level of customer service was outstanding and rare to find these days. We would honestly fly back just to shop here again -- that's how memorable this experience was. I feel like this location is hit and miss on their customer services. I mean we shop here I would say a few times a month especially when we're getting ready to go on vacation somewhere. Last May we came in and ordered through the store a bunch of Z-supply t-shirts and tanks and a few pairs of jeans for Hawaii. Now Christmas and here we are back at it of course I had to get my loved one a gift card so that she could choose exactly what she wanted. Now here it is January and we've definitely purchased 11 pairs of jeans and yes I said 11 pairs lol- 6 for her and 5 pairs for me lol. For the most part I would say the girls are really helpful well at least a few of them the other ones I just kind of brush them off, because they're just not helpful and they don't listen. But for the most part none of them have ruined my experience lol. read more

Horrible customer service. Nobody seemed to care to help me find a pair of jeans that they had lost that I put on hold for only 40 mins. They all were staring at me while I was looking for about 20 mins and everyone seemed to be on the register or talking about me I felt like they were laughing because nobody cared to help. They said I can order online and I asked if they can help me look since it's only been 40 mins that the jeans have been on hold unless they sold my pants that fast & they said "yeah sorry it can be anywhere in the store" like what? I couldn't believe what I was hearing.. I felt very small & as if they were all against me and I did nothing wrong. I'm a new mom going through postpartum & those jeans made me feel like myself again & the only reason I left them on hold was to show up with my husband & get his reaction by trying them on. I wanted him to see how happy I was that these jeans actually fit me instead we both walked out empty handed & a sick feeling of how sad customer service can be nowadays. My husband and I live in South Lake Tahoe where shopping wise we have a TJ Max, Ross and some crazy expensive boutiques geared towards tourists. On Saturday, my husband and I made the over hour drive each way to update our wardrobe since the last 10 years most of our clothing has come from Kohls or ordered online. I had absolutely no idea where to start when this young sales associate, Devin (TM# 3489941) asked if we needed assistance.  I told him our story and how we would love to refresh our wardrobe with some decent, quality items.  Devin was right on it and before we knew it he found us amazing jean's and tops that fit to perfection.  Devin even special ordered a couple items for both of us that should be arriving on our doorstep sometime this week. The last time I passed this way I bought a shirt here; this trip I came back because I needed to return it. I washed and packed the shirt, and then when I got to the store I saw that the shirt had a hole in it... I didn't have the receipt anymore, but despite the hole and the lack of a receipt the manager here let me exchange the shirt for a different one with no questions and no hesitation - now THAT'S what I call good customer service! Today was "Shopping for me day" thanks to my sweetie!! I will start with, this store is a commission store. I am not a fan of jean shopping. From the moment I walked in, I was met with amazingly sweet people!! Sierra was the first sales person I met. She was so kind, asked me what I wanted, my likes and dislikes, she ran in the back room and pulled several jeans from my request. She was very attentive and helpful!! While I was busy trying on jeans, my other half, was looking and other Items I might like. Tierney was the next sales person that helped us. Between the two, I was spoiled with attention!! (Not a huge fan of attention, this was flattering!! & I enjoyed it) Due to this being a commission store, I didn't feel any issues with the split of the commission, everyone was so professional and helpful! Was in yesterday afternoon. Approached right away and was offered assistance. My husband and I wear looking to purchase a few things for an event we were attending. All the staff members were friendly & helpful. We were able to find exactly what we were looking for! When I lived in Sacramento, California my parents and I always took a weekend trip that always ended staying longer at one of the Casinos while visiting Reno, Nevada I took a ride to the mall and while at the mall I stumbled across Buckle I never been to this one before so I decided to check it out to see what they had in Stock. They had many types of different designers that are well known such as Rock Revival, Affliction, BKE, Big Star and some other designers in jeans, shirts, watches, cologne, perfume for the ladies, glasses, beanie hats, board shorts. One of the ladies who worked there made sure I was taken care of if I needed help getting pair of jeans off the rack high above or needed a size she would make sure she had the shirt size in stock. She really went out of her way to make sure I was helped she even made a conversation with me while I was shopping. Most of the time people rush you in and out of the store personally I DO NOT LIKE THAT but she didn't do that towards me she was really nice and friendly! I came in here around 10:30 this morning looking for a new pair of jeans. I browsed around for about 15 minutes and was never greeted by either of the two associated I saw up front. While looking at the back wall, I was startled by an associate coming out from the back office. He told one of the two ladies at the register that she had a phone call. Literally, there was myself and two other customers shopping and none of the employees could be bothered to greet anyone. If the sales associates can't be bothered to do a simple part of their job, I would rather spend my money else where. read more

Went into the store this morning to look for a new shirt. A wonderful young woman named Shalise got me hooked up with everything I needed and more. She was extremely helpful in putting together styles for me to check out and since I'm a little picky when I spend good money on clothes I didn't make it easy.... I'm a bigger guy (6'3" with 52" chest) so I have a tough time finding good looking clothes that fit right. She even took my number and some info to call me when something came in that she likes for me. Speaking of that, why are big guys forced to wear polo shirts and Dockers? All the same boring solid colors with no style..... Good place to go if you are looking for some fashionable newer styles. I LOVE THIS STORE! My review is for the the store in Meadowood mall. I came in on Black Friday (night) looking for jeans that would fit my tall husband... I looked EVERYWHERE and no one could help me. Destiny helped me first and was looking all over for me, then she called over the manager Thaddeus because he is tall and could help us. I told them about my husbands style, his likes and dislikes and these 2 looked for clothes for me like madmen! They found me so many great options. Then I needed some nice shirts and they both continued to help me, found me some great T's and Thaddeus even found an awesome black button down shirt. I told Destiny I really appreciated their help and I loved their attitudes... She told me that they really loved their jobs... It shows, and it is nice to hear that!!! Destiny gift wrapped all my gifts and I left there happier than any other place I have been. I will always shop here and I will look for Destiny every time :) read more

The staff actually do what sales folks are suppose to, know the brands, know the styles and know their shit. Lovey lloves their discount card, so shop here for designer jeans because your card will fill up quick and you get $10 bucks off, which if your card fills up on the same purchase they will take off that day! Love the clothes, the staff is always very helpful. They always get me to spend more money than I'd like, but I am always happy with my wardrobe. Only complaint is that I think that the shirts and stuff should be diplayed a little better. I went into the Meadowood Buckle for some jeans, it wasn't long before I was approached by what one might call a Deminoligist named Jenna. This girl knew her Jeans and within a few minutes I was walkin out with exactly what I asked for... and they werent even a $100 bucks! By the way, despite what anyone might say, I find more pricey jeans to be better engineered and in my opinion that better fit is worth the occasional splurge. read more

Bought a pair of jeans here today and found so many other things I love in the store. Jordan, the girl who helped me, was very friendly and knowledgeable about the products and services the store offers. I am continually blown away by the amazing customer service in that store. It makes me want to shop there regularly despite the higher price tag. I'm one that doesn't mind paying for good service. Hell, if commission based sales is what drives the service level in that store to what it is then I think all retail companies should follow suit. I like Buckle. They always seem to have a pair of jeans to fit me the way I like which is really hard to find. I love how friendly and helpful the people are in here. Sometimes they can get a little pushy (I think they work on commission) but all the sales people that were working when I shopped yesterday were awesome and did not feel pushy one bit. I will def shop in there again when Jenna and Destiny are in there since I really liked how they were extremely helpful but not pushy. This is my all time favorite place to shop, I ALWAYS find something I love. Most of my wardrobe is from this store, they can be a little pricey, but their clothes are great quality and they last forever. Trust me, I pretty much only wear their jeans now and I am not exactly easy on them, but they still look brand new! Check the store at the mall out, or if you are in for a short drive cruise over to the summit sierra mall in galena and check out the buckle there, it is a bit less picked over and the staff members are really helpful there! Last week I was looking for new work jeans and was getting very frustrated at the small selection every other store in the mall had. I decided to try buckle out and the moment I went in Helen started helping me. I told her the requirements that my uniform needed, she listened intently, sized me up and picked up one pair of jeans that fit my description. She knew what size I wore even though I didn't really know. I tried on only one pair of jeans and it instantly made me feel less stressed and put my mind at ease. One small slip up is when I got home I realized an extra security sensor slipped through the cracks and was still attached to the jeans. Since I live all the way in Tahoe I had to wait another week before I could make it down to Reno to get this taken care of. When I got there she started helping me again right off the bat. She couldn't find the gadget to take the sensor off in the back, someone had just rearranged, so she went around to some of the stores in the general vicinity with no luck. She then went back into their storage in the back and after a few minutes finally found what she was looking for. I want to make sure she knows that even though I was slightly frustrated at the end that I am still very happy and thankful for all her help. Love Buckle, but will never step foot in this location again. Unfortunately I've had multiple poor experiences here with the sales girls. I think the kicker for me was when I bought a pair of distressed jeans online but ended up needling to exchange them. I was excited to get them but they turned out to be to big so I wanted to exchange them. They didn't have the size I needed so I decided to return them. All the tags were still attatched (being that I literally just received them in the mail the day before), but the sales girl acted like I had worn them and was trying to pull a fast one by returning them. She gave me a hard time and pulled a second girl over and asked her to grab a second pair of the same style so they could compare them. She said they looked used. Really? They are distressed jeans they were literally made to look worn in. Not to mention they had all the tags and the sticky tape that says the size still attached. I've spent a lot of money at Buckle over the past 9-10years and have never received such treatment (even when making returns). I now know better and will only shop locally at the Summit Sierra Mall location or online. Buckle is a great store, but this location is a pass for me. read more

I came here today in search of a pair of boots for an upcoming event. I never really shop here but found some amazing boots on the website so I wanted to take a look and try some on. There were maybe 3 other people shopping/looking around, who the sales people were trying to offer unwanted help, and me, someone who was actually needing assistance. I was looking at their shoes for a good 7-10 minutes before ANYONE even acknowledge me and offer help. I asked for a size and the girl did go check the back, but definitely seemed uninterested in even assisting me so I left. I'm pretty sure the employees at Buckle earn a commission for their sales, but I guess she didn't need one that bad. I can't say I'm too surprised at the poor service which speaks to why I never shop there. Your loss, I will spend my money elsewhere. read more

I have been shopping at Buckle for years now and after multiple bad experiences at this store I can officially say that I will no longer be making purchases from this store anymore. I always feel like the employees are talking bad about me or are annoyed when I decide to put items on layaway. Recently I special ordered sandals to layaway for a wedding I'm supposed to be in. After three weeks of not hearing a thing no phone call to say that they were in I finally came into the store to pick them up. After 45 minutes of searching they said that the shoes had been delivered but they couldn't find them anywhere. They refunded my money but then proceeded to tell me that they no longer had the shoes available. Not only that but the employees acted like it was no big deal and weren't apologetic at all. I will only be shopping at Summit Sierra Buckle from now on. I don't spend hundreds of dollars at Buckle for bad customer service. read more

I should start by saying I believe the district manager was in the store at the time. I feel this changed the experience. With that said I'll never shop here again. I didn't get two feet into the store until I felt attacked by a sales rep. When she left another immediately came up and harassed me again. This occurred five times before I got 15 feet into the store. I was so turned off by this I almost left. As I was trying on jeans another sales person kept throwing clothes at me. By the time I had tried on two pair of jeans they had thrown 9 pairs of other jeans, 7 shirts and 5 pairs of shoes in my dressing room. When I attempted to buy one pair of jeans they tried to charge me for two pair. I was there for 15 min and the entire time I was never allowed to actually shop. It was a constant barrage of sales reps annoying me constantly. I finally just left after they tried to charge me for more than what I wanted. Never had this experience before but won't deal with this again. Worst shopping experience of my life. I'll just use Amazon. read more

Danny at Buckle is fantastic. I needed a 36-38 inseam, rare to find. She showed me some really cute styles, but unfortunately nothing quite long enough in stock. Danny explained all the options for online ordering, layaway etc. She was so positive and attentive.
