Torrid at the Legends Shopping Center- Where this location strives is on Customer Service whether your Male or Female doesn't matter the staff welcomes everyone the same way no matter if your dressed as a bum or a higher up exec. They are very knowledgeable about everything in the store and have a drop everything attitude where if they are doing a task but a guest needs help or wants to try something on well they don't hesitate to put items down and help you. What I can say about the staff here too is they give every guest 150% and strive for goodness. Plus if they don't have it in stock they are always happy to see if you'd like to order it and Torrid you don't pay for it unless you like it. So if there is a bra you want and they do not carry it, their order it, its shipped an you go to the store to get it, if you don't like it for any reason then your not obligated to pay for it. They understand that the taste of people changes and so do people styles. I'm not usually shopping here but my wife enjoys the store an from what I've seen from the store and what they have, the quality of products are on par. Some of their seasonal items are cool and purty to look at, I try to have an open mind when exploring new stores like these you never know you may find something that your wife/partner prefers an you might have an idea of things for future gifts birthday/anniversary or just because. So keep an eye on things she's looking at. Overall the stores clean, I see clean and private dressing rooms. Plus the products are all pretty clean, i have only seen dirt on a few items like boots or things. I would highly recommend this place to all the ladies. read more

Torrid is a plus size women's clothing store located at the Legends Galleria in Sparks. I did not know this until yesterday. What happened to catch my eye as I walked by the window was a poster of a beautiful, curvy woman fashionably dressed. I have a hard time finding CUTE clothes to fit my body style. I am 5'6'' with wider waist, but my thighs are really fit. I am also a lot bustier than most women my size. So, needless to say, my interest was peaked. Upon walking in, I was greeted by two lovely young women. They explained how the sizes worked and left me to my shopping. One left, but a super sweet curly haired brunette engaged in polite conversation with me and also helped me pick out my outfit. I wish I could remember her name. She deserves a special shout out for the customer service I received from her. She made me feel so special and beautiful. I could tell she was sincere. She complimented me on how adorable and well behaved my boys are; that always wins kudos in my book! For about $75, I got a really cute blouse, cheetah print leggings, and two rings that will go perfectly with these heels I've never worn! They have a wide selection of business, casual, and night out dressy clothes for every shape and size. The sizes start out at 12 and go up from there, but a 0 would be a 12. They also have a jewelry lovers dream. l love it all! They have very cute, figure flattering bathing suits as well. To wrap it up, I love this store and would definitely be back! On a side note: After I left, I witnessed something truly disgusting. It honestly made me a little sick. As I walked out, I heard someone ask the person next to them what Torrid was. The person then replied, "It's a fat people store." I doubt that person will ever see this, but if you do: it's perspectives like yours that make this world so ugly. Shame on you! Oh, Torrid. While it's great to have a local store so you can shop and try clothes on in person, the customer service here is almost always lacking. The associates pay more attention to friends in the store, and they even get kind of snappy with each other in front of shoppers. Another time, the ball was super dropped while trying to exchange a jacket across state lines -- if I didn't repeatedly follow up, the whole thing might have fully fallen off their radars. It's a mega bummer, as this is the only brick-and-mortar Torrid store in Reno! Service aside, this place is a solid option for your curvy girl needs. I'd also recommend taking advantage of Haute Cash sales/coupons you receive -- I once got a pair of jeans, a pair of boots, a sweater, and a necklace for like...$60! read more

I have been shopping at Torrid for ages and was thrilled when we finally got a local store! My style is more vintage/classic than modern and Torrid is one of a select few places I can find clothes I love locally. I am thrilled that they carry 1950's style reproduction dresses in a variety of sizes. I have always had a hard time finding clothes to fit my bust AND hips. I'm most comfortable in dresses and Torrid is my go-to place for them. The staff is always helpful and kind. They have everything from undergarments to outerwear and everything in between! If you need help finding anything, ask them! They have always pointed me in the right direction and even suggested outfits I wouldn't have picked on my own but loved. Expect to pay more than usual for your clothing here but it is definitely worth it! I have dresses from here that look brand new despite being several years old now. Another perk is that almost all of them are washable! Also, the entire back area of the store is the clearance section! There is a great selection and it is organized by size, which makes it easy to find what you want in your size. If you haven't heard about the Torrid Insider reward program, be sure to ask one of the cashiers about it. This program has given me some amazing perks over the years. I have never been in any of the torrid chain stores until this visit. I have passed by them for years in local shopping centers, but never stopped in. I had an interview coming up, and decides to give it a go here. As soon as I walked in, the girl behind the counter smiled & asked if I needed help as she walked toward me from behind the counter. I told her that I had an interview the next day and needed an outfit since I just moved here from Chicago and all of my dress clothes are currently en route with the movers. She pleasantly laughed and said that I was in the right section of the store. She asked a few follow-up questions, then gave me advice on what to wear. I normally just wear black & other dark colors, if any at all. She said I should at least wear a brightly colored shirt under a blazer to add some pop and make me memorable to the interviewer. I reluctantly took her advice and bought a bright pinkish-orange top to put under the blazer with black pants, all which were purchased here at torrid. Needless to say, I am grateful she was there and that o took her advice. Thanks to her impeccable fashion knowledge, and i guess my resumé, I ended up getting the job!!! read more

I am happy with my orange dress, there needs to be some adjustments made. It will be interesting to see how it turns out. As for the other dress it can be worn over a bathing suit. I have finally come to the breaking point with this location. I am not one to write a bad review, but the customer service here has been a nightmare every time I have shopped here. The first time I shopped here was actually online. I spent about $200 online. Being it was my first time, some of the things I ordered did not fit, or I didn't like them. I went to the store to return some things. Because I had paid with PayPal, the cashier would not give me cash/credit back; only store credit. I wasn't exactly motivated to come back because 1. The fit and 2. The experience already. I went back a couple times just to spend my store credit. I was at Legends this week and decided to stop in and give it another shot. Earlier this week, I had fell in love with a top. Because it was almost $50, I decided to pass it up. I thought about it all week, and decided I had to have it. I came back in tonight and was very excited to finally try it on and buy it. I waited patiently in line to ask the cashier for a fitting room. The other employee was at the front of the store chatting. (This always seems to happen. 1. No one available to let you into a fitting room, and 2. Employees chit chatting.) After the line was done, she walked me back to the rooms. Yay. When we got to the fitting room, the employee asked someone how they were doing. (That's fine. It's her job.) The woman needed another size. Instead of letting me in, the employee decided to grab sizes. I was glad she was helping, but irritated because I could be in and out with one top. I decided to just wait patiently for my room, so I stood at the entrance of the fitting room waiting for her. After she was done, I figured, "yay! Finally my turn!" No..... This employee walked STRAIGHT past me. (Yes. I'm still at the fitting room. She had to swerve around me.) She walked STRAIGHT past me, and I watched her go right back up to the register to fold clothes. I was never let into a room. I was completely forgotten about. I was livid at this point. I put the top that I loved back on the rack and walked out. (The top, by the way, was right next to the register.) She watched me put it away, and not a word. This is the only time I have been pushed to the "I don't want to spend my money here" point. read more

First, let me start by saying how much I USE to love this store. They had the best customer service. Now every time I go in, I'm horribly disappointed. Their associates tend to fluctuate between unknowledgable or rude. Also if you can prove you paid using their store credit card and they can look up how much you paid then why should you be forced to take store credit? Ridiculous! read more

I don't know. I was kind of not blown away by this store. I've shopped Torrid online for years. I would frequent their clearance and their sales online, as I feel they are a tad overpriced. Whenever I passed through Sacramento, I would visit the Torrid there. I was excited to hear that we got a Torrid at Legends, but not excited enough to visit until now. I pretty much saw nothing that appealed to me, except for a few dresses that were a bit too pricey. I know the quality is better than that found at Forever 21, but I don't like paying a lot for my clothes. Besides, I always mean to lose a few pounds, so why spend a lot on my attire?I've had this "losing weight" business in mind for a few years, so maybe it's not really working for me...(ladies, you know what I'm talking about). Anyways... I went straight for their clearance section and immediately spied some leopard print scarves. I've been on the lookout for a new one after I ruined mine washing it. They were only $5.97! After closer inspection they all had holes and runs in them. I may be cheap, but I have standards. I then saw some really fab metal bracelets sold as a bunch. I especially loved the mint studded one. They were very cheaply made and at $19.50 I passed because I knew I would only get a few wears out of them before they turned green. In closing, I went to VF Outlets and found a leopard scarf sans holes for $6. Maybe pass on Torrid unless it's a great deal and there aren't any holes. read more

I come to this store every other month when I come to the Reno area. Today on July 4th a major holiday, there was no customer service. Well I did get a hello and that is where it ended. Three employees all talking to one another. There was two of us in the entire store. I had an armful of clothing and they never once offered a fitting room. No pumping up their current sale, after asking for a room no one asked how did it go. I have never had that experience there before. Had they provided customer service I would have told them I was on the fence about two items. And they most likely would have received a sale, but oh well. Customer service really goes along way. Torrid is a great store for more modern plus sized clothes... 12-24 (i think) and even though some people might think some of it is a little overpriced, trust me the quality is good and it's worth it... I am a very frequent shopper of Torrid. Even have their credit card. I am so used to the exceptional customer service my regular store in San Jose gives me that I was absolutely astounded by the lack of customer service this location had. I came in with the intention of purchasing a whole outfit including shoes for my first girls night out after having 2 kids. I walked in and was not greeted with the normal cheery hello that I am used to. Instead all I can hear is the only associate working jabbering on the phone. She barely even looked up when I walked in. I found my way around the store to the dresses. The associate still on the phone speaking very loudly about her boss and how the store is going downhill. Well geez. Mind you, im pushing my double stroller around the store looking for an outfit. I circle the store waiting for her to ask if I need assistance as I'm sure I look like I could have used some. Still nothing. She remains on the phone. I can tell she's talking to corporate or maybe another manager. Never did she say, hold on I have a customer. I ended up leaving telling my husband in a loud enough tone for her to hear, that obviously her issues are more important than making a sale. To be honest, I probably could have walked out of that store with hundreds of dollars of merch and she wouldn't have even known. Horrible customer service. With how her conversation was going I guess I shouldn't be surprised. read more
