A peaceful July 4th stop with great wine and even better people…read more We stopped in during our July 4th winery hop and absolutely loved our time here. There was live music inside, creating a cool and relaxed atmosphere, and everyone we met was incredibly kind. My wife mentioned that her favorite wines are Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc, and the staff immediately offered her two great options to taste. She ended up choosing the Sauvignon Blanc and enjoyed every sip. We sat outside under the covered area along the building and took in the beautiful view of the vines -- such a peaceful setting and perfect for entertaining or just unwinding. Although we saw a food truck on the way in, we didn't try it, but we did notice a family enjoying a picnic, which was a nice touch since you can bring your own food.

It was a bit chilly to sit outdoors and since we had the pup in tow, we sat in the covered patio, although it basically felt like indoors. Super dog friendly! We ordered a few snacks to nibble on while we sipped on our wine flights. Overall, it was a bit loud from the indoor live music, but otherwise, it was a rowdy fun time and great way to start our wine tour! There wasn't one wine that stood out from the rest but loved that a flight of 1 oz pours of 4 different wines of our choice was only $10 (may have increased since our visit in the fall a couple years ago). But definitely recommend as a stop if you're in Ellijay checking out wineries!

First we went to the cider bar and got two delicious slushies, mine Apple and David's blueberry apple. Then David bought some walnuts that were sugar and vanilla coated. He then got a cuirywurst plate for himself that had currywurst, German potato salad, sauerkraut and a pretzel roll.! There was also a truck with British pies. There were musicians setting up their stuff getting ready to perform. All in all it was a lovely experience in the blue ridge mountains.

The parking lot is spacious but fills up quite fast surprisingly. We parked and entered the building. The ambiance is country and casual. It feels like a fun and wholesome place, with games like corn hole outside. Service was welcoming, friendly, and kind! They made conversation with us instead of just pushing us through, which was refreshing. My friend and her husband ordered a cider flight to share, as did my fiancé and I. Our Cider flight was: Ellijay Apple, Wild Blue, Pumpkin Spice, and Pink Lady. My favorite was probably the Ellijay Apple, which tasted classic. My fiancé loved the Wild Blue. The blueberry flavor really shined through. There were a couple good trucks on site, so my fiancé got us a few treats to share: a pretzel with cheese dip, French fries, and fried mushrooms. The food was just okay, but the ciders were tasty. We really enjoyed our time here! Perfect double date spot! On our way out, we decided to get a bottle of the Wild Blue Cider to take home! It came in the cutest bottle.

We got their Apple cider, cinnamon apple donut, and apple fritter. The Apple cider and cinnamon apple donut were really good! But their Apple fritter was disappointing. I think if it was warmed it would have been better. There is also no indoor seating (which usually is probably not a problem). But since it was rainy and cold we couldn't sit outside, and there were zero seats inside, so we went back to our car to eat. Everyone was very nice and I would go back, but I would also have better expectations

Rebecca was incredibly easy to communicate with and helped me set everything up ahead of time. I felt incredibly taken care of from the first interaction through when they dropped us off at our doorstep and carried our wine to the door. Chris picked my friend and I up and we met Rebecca with the van which they decorated with a darling happy birthday sign, cold water, and an assortment of snacks. I was blown away by their hospitality. Before hitting the road they reviewed the wineries we planned to visit and then we were off. Rebecca drove safely and made conversation with us along the way. Chris was very knowledgeable about the vineyards and wines. Each time we arrived at a new vineyard Chris opened the car door and offered his hand as we stepped down from the van. He opened the vineyard door and helped us find seats at each winery, and then gave us space to enjoy our tasting. Between tastings he made sure we were comfortable and had plenty of water and snacks. He even brought our next tasting out to our seats so that we wouldn't need to get up- it was truly FULL service in every single way. I never once felt rushed by him or Rebecca, and their smiling faces and easy demeanor really created the perfect environment for my friend and I to cut loose and enjoy ourselves. After our tastings we said goodbye and Chris drove us back to our cabin where he personally carried the box of wine to our front door. He thanked us for spending the day with him and was on his way. I cannot recommend Chris and Rebecca enough! I will absolutely be booking with them again. I highly recommend them for any trip! Their prices are incredibly reasonable- and the service is top notch. I was blown away and cannot wait to book another trip with them!

Cindy, our planner and driver, was quick to reply to questions in the weeks leading up to our tour weekend, and she gave great recommendations based on what I described about wanting entry-level education about wine and a cider house in between vineyards so we wouldn't be burned out on wine. She recommended Chateau Meichtry and helped me figure out how to sign up for the Chateau's tour of the vineyard, which was exactly the level of information we were looking for! We then went to Reece's Cider House and she even drove my wife across the street to the apple house store because it was hot out and my wife's shoes weren't quite sufficient to walk in tall grass. We ended the day at Engelheim, which was much quieter and more relaxed, which was exactly what we needed to enjoy a conversation quietly while preparing to return home to our kids! I can't recommend this service enough!
