WINE NOT OTT | it was a beautiful day for a wine tasting and our first stop on our impromptu wine tour (self guided) was Ott Vineyards. It was a bit chilly to sit outdoors and since we had the pup in tow, we sat in the covered patio, although it basically felt like indoors. Super dog friendly! We ordered a few snacks to nibble on while we sipped on our wine flights. Overall, it was a bit loud from the indoor live music, but otherwise, it was a rowdy fun time and great way to start our wine tour! There wasn't one wine that stood out from the rest but loved that a flight of 1 oz pours of 4 different wines of our choice was only $10 (may have increased since our visit in the fall a couple years ago). But definitely recommend as a stop if you're in Ellijay checking out wineries! read more

We were greeted with the peanut man at the door in his food truck. He was very nice and welcomed us before entering. When we got inside there was seating like a dining area with windows and doors along the back wall to take in the beautiful scenery outside. To the right you enter double French doors to place your order. Everyone was extremely nice and so welcoming. I really don't drink wine so i rated the frozen sangria and i loved it. They had someone present playing music and singing it back. There were several seating areas along with fire pits and more. The food truck was delicious. I ordered wings and fries. Great Vineyard! Definitely more large scale and busier than some others, but worth a stop. You get your tasting from the bar and can go sit outside or they have a large Inside area. The view is worth it alone, beautiful from the patio area! Service is quick and efficient, but definitely no time to sit and talk with staff about the wine. More of a turn and burn operation. We went to Ott Vineyards and Winery after a recommendation from our Airbnb host in Ellijay, Georgia. She said this vineyard had the most beautiful mountain views, and she wasn't wrong. I loved the winery vibe; the staff was super welcoming and gave us recommendations for the wine. The day we went everyone was outdoors enjoying the live music and gorgeous weather. I reordered a glass of the Rose and my husband a wine slushy. Both were pretty good. There's a deck to the left side, which is only +21 and up, and then the rest is open to anyone. I loved the lounge chairs facing the mountains and vineyards. It was such a relaxing day to hang out, listen to live music, and drink wine. The winery does not offer food on-site; however, they have food trucks in the afternoons. The day we went, there was one food truck. This winery is pet-friendly. read more

What a great experience. They have wonderful seating spaces both inside and out with spectacular views of the vineyard and surrounding area. We ordered both wine flights and a sangria slushy...all very good. We had our kids with us and they were able to roll down the hills and tire themselves out. Note that kids are not allowed on the extended patio due to risk/liability if a child were to fall. We felt that the items we ordered were well-priced, especially with the good service and great views. There is also local merchandise sold inside. read more

We had a great experience. This is a nice, local winery and vineyard with live music, signature wines, and food options. They have ample indoor and outdoor seating. Parking is pretty ample as well. We were able to taste several different wines and purchased a few to take home for our cellar. This was a quick but rather pleasant experience. The setting is beautiful. read more

I've been to Ott Farms a couple times before but realized, I've forgotten to leave a review. Spending some time at Ott Farms is a wonderful way to relax and unwind. The view is just gorgeous with the vineyard right in front of you with the mountains as a backdrop. Weather you're inside enjoying the live music and fireplace or sitting outside taking in the view and sunshine, Ott Farm's is the place you want to be. I was very impressed with the amount of seating both inside and outside and the weekend live music and food trucks was a definite plus. "Infatuation" a very nice Red Zinfandel was amazing. I even purchased a few to take home. And their appetizers were delicious. We had the Pimento Cheese dip with Tomato Basil crackers and the Spinach Artichoke Dip. Both were amazing. Found this place on yelp- was drawn in by their wine selection and their French-American vines. Tried four reds, three whites and a rose. This is by far my favorite North Georgia wines I've ever had. Well balanced, nice finishes, not overly sweet. Would say they could give California and Oregon wines a run for their money. Highly recommended. Please check this place out. read more

We stumbled upon this winery on a recent weekend getaway. The view, wines and customer service were amazing. The owners had an excellent rapport with several "regular" customers as well as tourists. The venue is beautiful both inside and out. We loved that we could bring our dog and the weather was nice enough to sit outside on the patio and admire the mountain and vineyard views. Came for the first time and the outdoor area is beautiful. It has a great view of both vineyard and mountain. It's not super massive but there's a good sized space both outside and inside for people to sit and enjoy. They did well with it and put some fun seating in a variety of configurations (tables with chairs, chairs with patio umbrellas, shaded vs sunny). This was a great winery. We went on a Friday afternoon and they had a live musician playing and a food truck vendor. The wine was pretty good as well, the frozen peach Bellini was so refreshing on a hot day. There were snacks to purchase abs a gift shop. It's now become our new favorite vineyard in north GA. It has such a peaceful, laid back feel. Gorgeous view, slightly elevated, with many seating options. We love the deck bar stool seating, and the comfortable wooden chairs down below. It also has table seating on the deck, and plenty of seating inside too. I love seeing kids on the grassy area, and that people can bring their dogs. We love their wine tasting flights- 4 tastings, your choice. Great value! Great wine! We also love their dips and cheese plates. The first time we ordered the charcuterie board of meats, cheeses, pickles, jams, crackers. But the next time we went a month later, that wasn't available- sad. We did love their homemade spinach artichoke dip, and goat cheese, jam, honey, cracker plate. I also want to try the trout dip! They also usually have a separate food truck-- it was burgers and bbq last time I believe. The live music from local bands is nice. There are many bridal parties, birthdays, etc, usually there, celebrating, but it's never seemed chaotic or obnoxious. Everyone seems low key and happy. It's a great mix of people, diverse, and good for people watching- my fav. The service and staff are great, and helpful. Kind, even when so busy. It's a very humble, local type spot, that doesn't seem pretentious, like some-- yet very nice and well put together. Love the feel. We will keep coming back! Great winery with several local wines and an amazing atmosphere. They have something for everyone with whites, reds, rosé, and even several local beers brewed in Georgia. We orded one of everything on the snack menu and everything tasted great with fresh ingredients. There are two indoor seating areas and a covered section outside off the main building with several overhead fans. They also have an entire row of tables with umbrellas that line the huge lawn full of the softest grass ever that is perfect for a blanket. We let our kids run for hours on it while we sampled everything on their huge menu. The view of the mountains and vineyard are impossible to beat. While most wineries in this area have either a good product or a great view, its hard to find a place like this that has both. This has to be one of the best wineries in North Georgia. read more

Best. Place. Ever! Food truck, LIVE music, wine (I chose the sweet Rose'), the most gorgeous scenery, tons of seating in and out and the owner and employees are incredibly nice. Kid/family friendly which is always a concern of mine since I have 3 kids in tow. Our kids and others were entertaining themselves rolling in the grass, playing tag in the field, and my daughter even found a bucket of toys and brought some outside to play with while me and my hubby sat in the Adirondack chairs. Oh my goodness! My husband and I visited several vineyards while on our honeymoon and we both emphatically agree that this was the BEST one! The view was beautiful, the service was friendly and understanding. We loved that we could have a tab open and pay out after we finished. Ott Family Farms and Vinyard is a wonderful small town farm and winery in North Georgia that overlooks the Appalachian Mountains. The staff are professional and friendly and offer a great wine tasting experience. They offer live music, food trucks, hors d'oeuvre, and an assortment of wine-themed merchandise and jams. The bathrooms are exceptionally clean and homey. The main building is a log cabin themed and is rather cozy and welcoming. The wines are delicious and the back of the building offer picturesque views of the Vinyard and mountains. I would recommend visiting at least once if you get the chance! If you do visit, make sure you ask for Kelly! :) My only concerns or remarks are that they have a limited wine selection and the time I visited (July, 2020) they didn't follow COVID-19 regulations in regards to social distancing standards and wearing of face masks within the main building. But other than that, it was a wonderful experience! read more
