Nice location looking at the mountains. Enjoyed the live music as well. Goats were cute, grapes weren't much to look at, would be nice to able to walk through the vineyard but that's not allowed. Smaller location than I thought.

Visited from Miami and we love wines. The winery is beautiful. The staff is pleasant. As per the wine, I was not a fan with their recommendation. "The Romantics" smells and tastes vinegary and wasn't pleasant to my palate. I tried really hard to drink it because it was a pricey bottle $75 but I just could not. I wish they would have had an open bottle to taste it beforehand. It would have been a game changer. They also offer charcuterie packages for almost $30.00

After a busy afternoon in Jasper and Talking Rock, we ended up at Fainting Goat Vineyards during golden hour. It was super busy inside for a Wednesday afternoon (given it was that awkward week between Christmas and New Years that no one knows what is going on during LOL) and since we had the pup, we decided to sit outside. The view was GORGEOUS outside, and during golden hour/sunset, it was a beautiful way to end the year. If this is your first visit, I definitely recommend trying different wines with their tasting menu - I like dry reds so I opted for the Paint the Town Red - fruit forward dry reds. They also have many other tasting menu options and a long wine menu to choose from. Can't wait for my next North Georgia trip to stop in for more red vino!

Had an amazing guided tasting with Kristen! She was so kind and knowledgeable about wine and the science behind it. It was super busy once we finished the tasting but we were able to purchase snacks and try and frozen wine slushee which was amazing! All of the staff were super friendly and the scenery was beautiful. Definitely plan on making a trip back!

The best views in North Georgia! The ambiance is great, especially when the weather is right and the live music is going. Service is always wonderful and the wine is even better - especially Modern Culture on a sunny day. Can't wait to come back over and over.

I had to come back! I love the views here so much. It's beautiful! I came and got one glass of wine and it was their Amber Fields Chardonnay. It's so crisp and refreshing. It's perfect to enjoy outside during the summer when you want wine but don't necessarily want something heavy like a red wine. We bought a bottle to take home! The ladies behind the counter were incredibly nice. We actually bonded over a similar tattoo we both have. This is definitely a spot I'd recommend coming back to over and over again.

We enjoyed our visit to the Fainting Goat Vineyards, the views are amazing and the place is very nice too to spend a nice afternoon! We like most wines we tried, we just hope they had like a better experience to know more of the wines you are trying, as we experienced it we had to get up make a line get the wines we chose for the tasting and the lady who was very nice will explain it and pour it and you will take your 3 wines to your table, by the time we started to try them we didn't remember which was what out if what she explained. I will really love if they will have the option of the tasting while they explain everything I think it will help to enjoy more each wine. We really loved the outdoor area with the tables where you can do your picnic (please make sure you take everything you need as there are not many option for food on the location). We also liked that its kids and dog friendly so the whole family could come together and the kids really loved the goat barn area where they could pet them and all! Overall a great place where you can enjoy nice wines and relax for a while with the outstanding views of the mountains!

Just outside of Jasper. Gorgeous drive up. I spent the day working remotely had a great time getting to know the staff while sipping on some fantastic wine. Highly recommend to anyone in the area!

Such a beautiful spot for wine tasting (and outright drinking- but have a designated driver for those mountain roads!!!) Excellent selection of wines, beautiful views. Inside and outside seating, but it does get quite full (at least on the weekend). Seems as though you could pack a picnic blanket and settle onto the grass though. They do have a selection of snacks as well but best to come prepared- they seemed to allow a outside food. Turnaround was quick for the line for wines.

What an amazing vineyard! It's in a picture perfect setting, they have an abundance of tables and chairs outside inside is pristine and the staff is super friendly as well. The fainting goats are adorable although we weren't able to scare them so they didn't faint. Can't wait to return next year.

The wines and house-made ciders (local Ellijay apples!) are excellent. The Roost Bistro, features refined Appalachian-inspired dishes with locally sourced ingredients -- think fresh trout, premium steaks, foraged Ellijay mushrooms, garden vegetables grown on site, and seasonal specials. The service was friendly and knowledgeable, led by Sebastian. A must-visit in North Georgia. We'll be back soon!

A stunning vineyard with unforgettable views -- our favorite stop of the day…read more This was me and my wife's favorite stop on our July 4th vineyard hop. We arrived right when they opened, and the first thing we noticed was how modern, open, and beautiful the main building is. The ambiance inside is warm and inviting, and the views of the Blue Ridge Mountains are absolutely breathtaking from every angle. The patio is huge -- two levels of seating with umbrellas -- plus another outdoor area and bar near the food truck. Honestly, we could have sat out there all day just soaking in the scenery. It's the kind of place that makes you slow down and enjoy the moment. We had reservations in the dining room, which was elegant and refined, very much in line with the Roost Bistro's upscale atmosphere. The food, however, was just okay for us. My wife's seafood pasta was a bit bland, and my short rib was lukewarm and needed more seasoning. Not bad -- just not as impressive as the setting. We ordered additional wine in the beautiful open tasting room, which is separate from the dining tab. Our total came to $118. Even with the food being average, the wine, the views, and the overall experience were wonderful. Next time, we'll probably skip the dining room and opt for wine and the food truck instead -- enjoy the mountain backdrop and make a full afternoon of it. Roo Mountain is absolutely a place we'll be returning to.

A peaceful July 4th stop with great wine and even better people…read more We stopped in during our July 4th winery hop and absolutely loved our time here. There was live music inside, creating a cool and relaxed atmosphere, and everyone we met was incredibly kind. My wife mentioned that her favorite wines are Pinot Grigio and Sauvignon Blanc, and the staff immediately offered her two great options to taste. She ended up choosing the Sauvignon Blanc and enjoyed every sip. We sat outside under the covered area along the building and took in the beautiful view of the vines -- such a peaceful setting and perfect for entertaining or just unwinding. Although we saw a food truck on the way in, we didn't try it, but we did notice a family enjoying a picnic, which was a nice touch since you can bring your own food.

It was a bit chilly to sit outdoors and since we had the pup in tow, we sat in the covered patio, although it basically felt like indoors. Super dog friendly! We ordered a few snacks to nibble on while we sipped on our wine flights. Overall, it was a bit loud from the indoor live music, but otherwise, it was a rowdy fun time and great way to start our wine tour! There wasn't one wine that stood out from the rest but loved that a flight of 1 oz pours of 4 different wines of our choice was only $10 (may have increased since our visit in the fall a couple years ago). But definitely recommend as a stop if you're in Ellijay checking out wineries!
