Needed a Blackhawk SERPA CQC but I needed a shorty, specifically for the G26. Went to Dick's - No gots but can order. Went to Florida Gun Exchange - No gots, "...but you probably don't really want that anyway. You should try... [fill in the blank with a product that cost twice as much and does half the job]." The guys at Dick's said, "Bucks. Just go to Bucks!" I hadn't been there in at least 15 years and had honestly forgotten they were there. Walked in and 3 smiling gents greeted me with "Hello!" They didn't have what I was looking for - or so I thought - so I went home to see if I could find it online. I did and called them back with an exact model number. They called me back to confirmed fitment and right-hand or left and it turned out they DID have it in stock and it would cost me less than it would have if I ordered it from any of the aforementioned establishments. My thanx to Dick's for reminding me about this place. My thanx to Buck's Gun Rack for being consistent and thorough. If you want your butt kissed or smoke blown up it try the big boys. If you want the thing you're looking for and want it backed up by someone you can confirm has been doing this FOR EVER, then I'd shop Bucks. Has the potential to be a really quaint, hidden gem. They have a decent selection of pistols and ammo considering the shortage; however, the one gentlemen working there is really mean and rude. Most of us are going to drop a great deal of money in any gun shop, and I'd actually rather pay the same (if not more) to a place where the staff is helpful and courteous. read more

Bucks is behind the times. They have a nice selection of pistols, both used and new. The staff here is pretty nice too, they make you feel welcome and comfortable. They even offer lay-away for purchases, which is a nice perk. They do not price match other stores in the area even though they say they will. They do not seem pressured (at all) to make a sale, which results in a lack of service at times. I'm looking for a small 9mm for conceal carry and since I already have a Ruger SR9c I was looking for something smaller. The selection isnt that great for small 9mm or for 380s even though the market is booming for those sizes. The only 2 I had to pick from was the Glock 23 (boo) and the Ruger LC9s which is over priced compared to 'Hole in the Wall' about 2 miles away. HIW is selling this pistol for $359 compared to Bucks $390. I asked if they match prices, they said ''Sure, for which store?'' I explained I found a store called Hole in the Wall Gun Shop that's selling guns for cheaper and gave him the price.... and got laughed at. Not very professional, not needed, and not appreciated. First of all, I have not gone into any dedicated gun store or pawn shop that sells guns where they will allow you to bring in a LOADED GUN. However, you can bring your gun and, once inside the door, drop the mag and put it in your pocket or hand it to the staff member designated to hold them for customers. Since the staff is openly carrying so it's not like you're going into a Gun Free Zone. When you leave, you can put the mag back inside your gun before opening the door. Also, have you ever heard of anyone robbing a gun store during business hours? I sure haven't. It's always after the store has closed or just when the owner is locking up that they happen. Unless it's a bunch of terrorists armed with automatic weapons hell bent on becoming martyrs or one really retarded robber, your odds of being hit by a meteor are higher than being shot by a thug robbing a gun store in broad daylight. The point of robbing a gun store is to get the guns and get out alive, isn't it? Now, as for this place, the prices are too high and the staff are too rude for me to recommend coming here when there are a half dozen other places where you can get the same items cheaper. I recommend the pawn shop on Mason just east of Nova or the Gun Exchange further north on Nova. read more

Very nice store with plenty of guns, knives and bow gear. The staff has always been pleasant and helpful when I visited. My son was into archery for some time and his was a regular stop for arrows. You have to learn and we lost a lot is arrows. They were great and always had plenty of other items to look at. read more

Very good place to shop, with good to fair prices. Staff was knowledgeable and not pushy to try to up sell. I was looking for a simple starter .22 rifle "New or Used". Went to several places in the area. Pawn shops, army/navy, farmers market and other gun shops. Talked to the staff on what I was looking for. They had a brand new .22 rifle with scope in the box, selling for $30 under the MSRP. So I will be shopping there again. read more

A place where the experienced hunter can find knowledgeable people to discuss and a good selection of firearms to choose from. A place where a family can seek advice in selecting the proper firearms for protection and/or sport. A place where a collector can be amazed by the rarity of some guns displayed and even trade or sell some of his/her own. Very good selection of Safes, Accessories, Ammo and Archery equipment as well. Most of all, these folks have accumulated the experience and knowledge of a family being in business for over half a century and that passes on to the consumer, Me and You. Made 3 trips there in the last 2 weeks. Purchased a shotgun and 2 handguns. Visited 3 other locations in Daytona. One was so busy and large that the environment was uncomfortable for me. Couldn't get any dedicated attention. The second was a sports store and was a farce relative to getting some good advice and recommendations (one clerk only). I purchased one shotgun there and the young lady virtually walked me to my car. Thought she was coming home with me. The third was a major chain and truly a beautiful store but they seemed very uninterested in spending any time with me. Buck's had a nice atmosphere, knowledgeable staff and the owner was there each time which always seems to instill a better customer experience. Not sure about pricing comparisons but I don't usually shop price. $50-$75 difference will not drive me to buy strictly for the sake of saving money. I buy what I want from folks who make me enjoy the experience. Bucks checked all the boxes. I am new to the area and they will be my "go to" store! I have no reason not to check all 5 stars but will leave room in case I missed something!! read more

Prices are way too high. Not a huge selection. Those of you complaining about no loaded weapons in store, that is the case at most gun stores. It is not a law. Just store policy. You are a fool if you obey this rule. It is called concealed for a reason. They should not know you have the weapon on you. read more

Walk in and the three guys working stop talking and it's pure silence. I asked if thy had any 223 ammo and one of the old guys throws me a huge box of ammo and says" there it is, can you handle that much?". Problem was that it was SEVERLY over priced and he didn't give me any options. Pretty much treated me like crap because I was a tourist. Planned on buying a Glock same time but left spent my $900 down the street at the shop the other reviewer stated. This place is a joke of a shop. read more
