Place is set up nice, very clean, and comfy. Nice view of the river. However the service was super slow. My empty beer glass sat on the table for 10 minutes and the only reason it was noticed was because the server delivered our food. She didn't once check in to see if we needed anything. I ordered the large chicken tender salad, With tenders dressed in wing sauce. Though tasty, The salad wasn't much bigger than a typical side salad. It had 4 small boneless wings on it. We have eaten at Bucks in Dubois several times and have always had good food. We have gotten pizza and wings at the Clearfield store and they too were good, but I got a turkey sandwich and it left a lot to be desired, the lettuce was brown and tough, and there was only 1 very thin slice of turkey on it. Good place to get pizza or sandwiches. They have a few selections of pasta and raviolis which we have found to be quite good also. We have been to this location a few times and have always had good service and no wait. There is a view of river but I wouldn't choose this location simply on that. They have a decent craft beer selection for the area, but it could be better. It's definitely worth a try if you're in the area. read more

If you are passing through, this is the restaurant to go to. We actually called ahead of time just to pick up a pizza for our long trip ahead of us (we were driving from New York to Ohio) and the place was just beautiful. We wish we could have stayed longer. Most importantly though, the people working there were extremely kind and accommodating. The woman took us around for a tour because she knew my two girls had been stuck in a car for the past 5 hours. She gave them lollipops at the end and they were delighted. We ordered a large 1/2 pep. 1/2 cheese and it was gone in ten minutes so that's a testament to the taste! :) Thanks so much for your generosity and kindness. We got takeout of 2 orders of 8 chicken tenders and fries. Although the chicken was great quality, each piece was very small, and the fries were nothing special; plus it was all very greasy. For $28, I would rather have gone down the street to Dairy Queen for 2 $5 lunch chicken meals. The chicken tenders and fries picture looked so great in a Clearfield County pamphlet/book I had, so I drove the 20 minutes to try it, but it did not resemble that picture at all. read more

Great pizza and love their homemade salsa which has an Italian flair to it. Every time we visit the area we make a point to stop it.

Ordered pizza and what was supposed to be boneless wings, $24.04, what a ripoff. Pizza good, boneless wings, HORRIBLE!! Ordered 15 boneless wings, $9.00, when I got them home had, what I can only describe as very small popcorn chicken pcs, total weight if 15 boneless wings, 7.5oz!! Called to complain girl on phone said that yes their boneless wings are very small, hmm if the employees say they're very small why sell them to paying customers. I did get my money back for the wings but will never go there again, thus is the second time I've had bad food there, don't waste your time or money. read more

Well I heard about a restaurant along the river and thought someone was finally smart in clearfield . So we went fairly nice interior with nice view. Horrible booths and terribly uncomfortable chairs , I guess so you won't stay long and enjoy yourself. They seemed to be known for Stromboli so I ordered one that described itself as aged cheddar with mouth watering steak and crispy maple cured bacon and the descriptor stated it was like a slice of heaven. Well let me tell you it was not unless you call Kraft cheese aged past the expiration date, meat that had enough grizzle my dentist will probably be upset and wimpy bacon. Not to mention the crust was over cooked and over seasoned. I tried dunking into their sauce that is apparently world renown. Well, yes we all know how revolting rage is so I guess it is renown as being horrid. I sent mine back as my three friends did. One other had an equally horrible Stromboli the other had the as he said the worse fish dinner ever with wimpy flavor led breaking and wimpy fries. So my recommendation is avoid clearfield since someone told them to take a very charming town cut down all the trees and let such an inferior restaurant to take up such prominence along a beautiful river. If you want processed food this is the place. Pizza was terrible- thick soggy doughy crust. I ordered the Greek pizza. I knew I was in trouble when they brought it to the table and it smelled like vomit (sorry but true). $13 .69 for this medium sized pizza. My friend ordered a sandwich and the meat was cheap and tasted like it came off a factory belt. The wait was ridiculous and they weren't even that busy. Our waitress got our order wrong-twice. I stopped at Buck's yesterday afternoon to grab a quick bite while out running errands. I ordered wings and a specialty pizza. The wings were crispy, just the way I love them! The pizza crust was delicious, soft and chewy and filled with toppings. The total bill didn't break the wallet either. The service was acceptable and polite, great job! read more

I don't normally post reviews but I couldn't resist. Roseville after the above average experience we had at Bucks. First off let me say that I wasn't pleased with the wait line. I'm no stranger to the unkind wait line with 'dine-in' restaurants but this was a little longer than normal. However, being a mother of 3, I have the patience necessary to wait. Side bar; if you have the patience of a toddler, I do not suggest eating here. The food wasn't bad. Wasn't amazing but wasn't bad. You see, what people don't understand here is that this is a "fine dining" pizza joint. The prices were equalized and the food will be that of the base price for moderate choices. What surprised me the most though, was she service. I can't sit here, typing this review, and tell you know my servers name- because I don't. But I know what she looked like. More specifically, my 5 year old knew who she was and loved her. "Olaf! She has Olaf on her name tag, Mom!" That's all I heard the entire night. Attentive isn't strong to describe the service we had. This young lady was on top of it. Made friendly conversation with the kids and made my irritable husband laugh just when I thought he was going to lose his cool if the food didn't come yet. She generously provided us with an appetizer that was on the house. She kept us disregarded. That's probably lot the right word choice but you get the idea. All-in-all, my experience was made worth it because of the expertise service. 5 stars to this waitress. I would recommend her to anyone with children.
