The good: the sprinkle of seasoning on top is great! Crust is the perfect texture! The cheese...omg...the cheese is CREAMY!! I've never had such cheese! Selling by the slice-the best! The bad: bland sauce. Ask for extra sprinkle seasoning! They charged us for two slices, a drink and chips. We ordered just slices. When we got the pizza they asked what drink wanted. We didn't. We *paid for the drink slice special and rather than saying they charged us too much, we should take the drink n chips, they just let us leave. read more

This place was only good when Tony Scotto owned it. Whoever owns it now is incredibly rude, always scowling, and ungrateful for the business he received from me. (Notice how received is in the past tense. We will NOT be coming back.) There is very little in the way of culture in Clearfield, so people always settle for this doughy, hastily made generic pizza that's taken out too soon and just falls apart. How about trying? Oh that's right. You don't have to because you're the only pizza place in town that's open late. I will say that it is better than starving. Also, the men who work there are so damn weird and pathetic. They look really high and wife was forever grateful that they didn't deliver. They can't even say hello to her nor look her in the eye because she went to high school with them and they thought they were cool because drugs and still carry around that mentality in their 40s. This is what you get when you have a good thing and you don't appreciate it. It's called a paying customer. A bad review for terrible food in no way Italian, just everything on menu, throw it OUT. When Scotto's gets it right, they absolutely make my favorite pizza in the area. Don't sleep on the calzones either- they are amazing. Only reason I don't give 5 stars is the service. The place is staffed by teenagers and people I could get a contact high just from speaking to... which often leads to over/under cooked food. Aside from that, awesome place. read more

Let me start this review off by saying I used to live in clearfield born and raise but I moved about 8 years ago to Virginia, I always remembered this place as being a childhood favorite so tonight I came to Pennsylvania and decided I wanted to show my friend from Virginia a place I used to eat as a kid, we ordered delivery and it took about an hour but you can't rush perfection, everything I ordered had to of been made with love these guys started as a childhood favorite and after one taste in my adult life quickly became a life long favorite everything from the stuffed shells to the side of bread which I was not expecting but pleasantly surprised with was made absolutely perfect it's homey tasting food that you would expect to eat at someone's grandparents house you really can taste the difference if you haven't tried them yet please just do it they have a huge menu selection so I'm confident anyone can find something they will love if you're not from clearfield made a road trip out of trying amazing places in clearfield there is so many underrated places in this town that deserve so much more attention than they are receiving and Scotto's is definitely one of them read more

The pizza and breadsticks were good. The cleanliness of the restaurant, however, would have had me running away if I had really had a chance to look at things before we ordered. Every table was dirty and covered in dishes. After we ordered I asked for a towel, and one of the staff members came out and cleaned our table, reusing a roll of silverwear that had been on the dirty table from the previous customers. There were chocolate wrappers left in the salt and pepper caddies on the table. After we ate, I went to the restroom. The bathroom looked like something you would expect in a carpenter's home. A mop handle had been refashioned as a plunger handle. The sink was covered in old paint and god knows what else. Immediately outside of the unisex restroom was the staff's handwashing sink. There was a slime at the bottom of it that leads me to believe it's been days since someone wiped it out. The Serv Safe certifications, hung where patrons would pass by them on the way to the restroom, were dirty. A quick glance at the back of house area showed numerous toppings sitting out on top of a counter, completely without refrigeration. I would consider unrefrigerated toppings to be okay during a dinner rush, but they'd obviously been sitting out for a while and should have been placed back in a cooler once the rush had ended. The staff quite enjoyed standing around talking to each other, leaning against counters and not cleaning up the front of the house. The plant in the store window had a thick layer of dust on it. Overall, it just seems like no one who works at this restaurant is taking ownership and ensuring that the small details are being considered. It makes me worry what other details are being missed as well. read more

It has been over an hour and we are still waiting. We called and we were told our order is in transit. I guess that's a lie as we are still waiting 15 min later. I guess we will call and tell them to forget it and order elsewhere from now on. Although many of my friends work here my honest opinion must be told. The sauce is bland, and tasteless. The only 'flavor' present is that of tomato and sugar. Quite acidic with no spice at all. The prices are decent for the amount of food you end up with, but I'd be willing to pay double the existing price for new recipes with more flavor. The best thing on the menu is easily the broccoli spinach pie. And I'm calling it pie instead of pizza because the ingredients are all sealed inside unlike most pizzas. I'm not a vegetarian by any stretch of the imagination, and I was apprehensive about it the first time we tried it, but wow, it is to die for. It's got the perfect amount of cheese and garlic. It's the only thing we ever ordered after that (always ask for extra sauce for dipping!). I have tried other things on the menu, but nothing I liked quite as much. The pizza here is perfectly cooked, and the service is fantastic. While the AC makes a slightly annoying sound, it's only a few blocks from a park overlooking the Susquehanna, complete with picnic tables. The food is high quality but priced reasonably. It comes warm and freshly cooked, and the takeaway boxes include plastic prongs to keep the box from sagging. The only drawback is that they only sell water, soda, and sports drinks as beverages. read more

I was a take out customer for a long time, until I found another local shop. Quality has steadily gone down hill. They have always been stingy with the cheese, and almost always overbake the pizza if not burn it. Always ordered "Not well done'" but they burned it anyway. Not even close to NY or Philly pizza. This wa the worst place ever I have eaten at I ordered delivery from this place. I was told 40 minutes. Cool. I was good with that. So an hour passes and i call and speak to a very rude guy named "CURT" I asked him about my order and he laughed and said he didnt know about my order and I asked will it be coming hot seeing he didnt know how long ago it left. His words to me " NO, I can't guarantee your food comes hot"!! I thought that is why we pay for food that way. To get it hot and eatable. He laughed agin and hung up on me. I called back and spoke to a nice guy who said he was the acting manager for the night( tonight). He gave me curts name and told me to contact the owner on Monday his name is PAT. I am really upset. i would have figured with all the hype written online about this place that it was going to be a great experrience. Guess not. I was totally 100% wrong. My food finally came 10 minutes later. (so I waited 1 hour and 25 minutes) It was not worth it at all. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs which said it came with salad and garlic bread. I told them ranch dressing. I paid for extra. My salad came no dressing, Bread was burnt and the spaghetti dishes were cold as could be. So I guess its a night thast we dont have dinner. I am not spending more money. I am very upset with this service. All I wanted was good hot food. I will say The manager guy ( didnt get his name but wished I would have) was a nice guy.
