I dealt with 4 different (I guess salespeople) all saying that they would get back to me, which they never did and each time I called everyone recommended a different tire and wheel setup. I don't know about other customers but 3 to 4k is a chunk of money to me. I felt like a hamster in a cage on a wheel. I paid a little more money but was able to get good advice from a independent in the area. Discount is a mill dealing with numbers and could care less on what the customer needs.

I called them and scheduled an appointment for 12 PM. I arrived at 12, and they told me to come…read moreback at 3 PM. I came back at 3 PM, and they spent an hour doing the wheel alignment. In the end, I drove out and the steering wheel was pulling to the left. I went back and told them the car was pulling left. They said, "Okay, we'll redo it." I waited another 40 minutes. I drove out again, and now the car and steering wheel were pulling to the right. I went back again, and then they told me that the front wheels and rear wheels were pointing in different directions and that they needed more time to fix the issue. In the end, I had to take my money back and leave. I will never go to that service again.

Their honesty and professionalism were displayed when my wife brought in her old Honda Civic. It was leaking from the front left wheel well. Preedy's called us later to inform us that our car required no work at all. The fluid that was leaking was tested and confirmed to not be a part of that model of car. They told us of a scam where people would spray fluid under a car to make it look like it was leaking. On top of that honest warning, they didn't even charge us for that time in the shop. If you're looking for a good, honest mechanic at a good price, go to Preedy's. You won't find better!

After paying Costco Tires $56 to install and program a new set of TPMS sensors in my 2009 Kia…read moreBorregeo, the TPMS warning light was still on. They told me I needed to drive the car for 15 minutes or more at 30mph or more in order to "reset" the TPMS error lights. So, I drove it on the freeway to Coeur d' Alene and back (40 miles each way) and the TPMS warning lights didn't reset. So, after a little research, I downloaded and printed the TPMS reset procedure from Kia, and took it back to Costco Tire. The procedure I downloaded said to scan the TPMS sensors and then connect the scanner to the OBDII port to upload the sensor ID's to the car's computer. The Costco "technician" brought out a scan tool and scanned all 4 of the new TPMS sensors. I looked at tool they were using, which didn't have an OBDII cable to connect it to the car's computer. I asked the "technician" how he was going to upload the new TPMS sensors RFID's to the car's computer and he gave me a blank "deer in the headlights" look. I explained that scanning the RFID's of the new sensors was only the first step in the process, and that in order for the car's computer to recognize the scanned RFID's for the new sensors, he had to somehow upload the scanned RFID's of the new sensors to the car's computer. I asked him how he was going to accomplish that if his scanner couldn't be connected to the car's computer. Again, I got a blank look and he said "I don't know... our scanner works with the brand of TPMS sensors we sell, and we program the sensors before we install them in the tires." FWIW, that answer makes NO sense. The scanner has to connect with the computer in the car SOMEHOW to upload the RFID's of the sensors, or the car's computer ISN'T going to recognize the signals it receives from the new sensors. I tried to explain this concept to the Costco Tire "technician" a couple of different ways, but he just wasn't "getting it". So, at that point I gave up on trying to educate the Costco Tire "technicians" on how TPMS system technology works. I decided it was a waste of time and I left Costco. On my way home I decided to stop by the Tire O Rama on Sprague. When I walked in, I asked Josh, the guy at the counter "Do you have a TPMS scanner that can connect to the OBDII port of my car to upload the scanned RFID's of a new set of TPMS sensors?" His reply was "we sure do". I explained the issue I had with Costco Tire and he said "hang on, let me grab my scanner". After he retrieved the TPMS scan tool, Josh and I walked out to my Borrego, and he scanned all 4 TPMS sensors in under 2 minutes, and then he connected the scan tool to the OBDII port of my car. He pushed a couple of buttons on the scan tool, and within about 3 - 4 minutes he had uploaded the RFID's of the new TPMS sensors to the car's computer and also cleared the TPMS error codes to make the TPMS warning lights go out. I was VERY impressed. Josh obviously understood how a TPMS system works and what it takes to fix TPMS error codes. When I asked Josh "what do I owe you?" he said, "nothing, don't worry about it". What an INCREDIBLE customer service experience! Josh was very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. Give that young man a raise! I can guarantee you that I will NEVER go back to Costco Tire. From now on Tire O Rama will be my "go to" for tires or tire-related work or repairs!

These guys were absolutely, hands down amazing…read more I pulled in here after seeing the sign from the freeway. I was on my way to Big Fork, MT from Seattle and I was getting a nasty, bumpy ride. I feared a tire was going to blow. As soon as I opened my car door a mechanic was right there inquiring how he could help. I explained what was going on and he had my car up on the lift with the tires off to inspect them within 5 minutes . He noticed a defect in the side wall of one of my tires....it was a Firestone tire just days past its warranty's expiration. He took me out to show me what was going on and then offered to call over to the Firestone (apparently just a block away) and see if they'd be willing to work with me. He talked to the manager of the Firestone directly to tell him about my situation and let them know I was on my way over. He said I should try to get them to warranty it out first and if they wouldn't I should come back and he'd help me with purchasing new tires. In addition to making sure I knew what was going on, and showing me so I could point it out to the Firestone guys (which I ended up having to do), he was looking out for me and not his bottom line. What an amazing experience. Firestone did warranty out my tire since there was a slight defect, the warranty had only just expired a few days before and the tire had no where near the mileage cap for the warranty.
