My husband and his family booked a trip for Aug 7th till Aug 10th. I called him this morning with a family emergency. He went to the office to check out and asked for a refund, ge was told that they don't give refunds under any circumstance. He said I understand not giving one for today because it's less than 24 hours, but Thursday makes no sense. She said once you check in whether it's 2 days or 2 weeks we do not give refunds. MY ADVICE DPNT BOOK SEVERAL DAYS PAY DAY BY DAY. One last note, there is no food or stores close by. Restaurant is not open and vending machines are broken. The walk yo the Marina is quit a distance from where your staying.

I would not recommend *** safety alert*** stay at your own risk

When we rented this unit we were not told that the heat for this unit was not functioning. The had a small space heater that we were to use - when plugged in the cord by the plug in was hot - it also set the fire alarm off. The plug in was burned brown. The other unit was plugged in and had electrical tape around it. The shower was cold and it was set at 95 apparently they have a new unit that when power goes out resets the heat to 95. Water in the sink was warmer than the shower. (Possibly from the unit space heater- as it draws a lot of electricity) I called to complain and asked that we should have some compensation for the bad experience - I told them that they should at least alert people renting that the unit heat was not functioning - Rick told me he would have to look it up to see if there was some law that people should be alerted about malfunctioning equipment. Also he says that there is no law about the electrical tape on the air/heat unit - they have a new one and wasn't put in yet‍. Maybe the fire Marshall will have a different opinion. Also the burned plug was explained away by a hot coffee pot - hmmm seems fishy? Cold shower he told me that we should have called - it was 9P and the place was closed and neither of us had cell phone service - This place has WIFI but for staff only. No compensation - would not recommend this place ! The owner was smart mouthed and awful to deal with- stay at your own risk!

I had such a lovely time hiking here! Beautiful nature and great trails! Just know that summertime…read morebrings a plethora of ticks. Prepare dutifully, friends.

We reserved a 50 amp electric only camp site (the ones with water hookups were already reserved)…read morefor two nights at the Pittsburg campground. We initially ended up at the Hermitage campground (after dark pulling a 38' fifth wheel) and couldn't find out spot. There was a park ranger that was driving around and lead us to the Pittsburg site and we were thankful for his assistance. Filling the fifth wheel with water was easy as the water supply was located in a large area near the entry. Check in was a breeze as it was done with your mobile. I do wish the campsite itself was longer and had more parking. The site barely fit the fifth wheel and truck on the paved area and there's no parking in the grass, so we had to park our second vehicle near the entrance with available parking. Backing in a fifth wheel in a pitch-black campsite is always fun, but thankfully it only took 1 try. The site had a covered picnic table and lots of shade which was nice. Out site was a bit far from the bathhouse so it was a trek to shower/use facilities. We used the camper most of the time, but without water hookup, tried to use the water in the tank more sparingly for dishes and cooking. There was a nice little playground area with equipment for the kiddos. The beach was nice sized and some had trees so you didn't burn up in the sun. If you hit the beach, bring water shoes because it's very rocky and they are sharp. For $25 a night, I was satisfied with the campground and enjoyed the time with my family.

We rented a pontoon boat to take out with our family. We had 11 people in our family: 6 adults and…read more5 children. We were under capacity for both people on the boat and also for the weight limits. I also want to point out that the lake was not very busy and the water was pretty calm. We noticed immediately that the steering wheel pulled really bad and need to be oversteered to the left. While we were driving, we began to notice that the boat was leaning to one side and we were getting sprayed a lot on that side. We had two adults and two small children on the front section of the boat (we had tried to reposition weight several times because of the way that the boat was behaving). As we were behind another boat, we hit a a few waves that a pontoon should have easily been able to take. Water rushed over the front of the boat to the point that it seemed as if we were going to sink. Two of our kids went overboard and two parents had to jump in to make sure they didn't go under the boat. At some point during this, a piece of the aluminum trim on that side of the boat fell off. We also noticed that the pontoon on that side of the boat was dented. Needless to say, we drove back to the marina with some very scared kiddos and anxious/frustrated parents. At the dock, Jeff asked what happened and didn't allow us time to fully explain the situation before blaming us for having too many people in the front seats of the boat (2 women and 2 kids). He argued that this was operator error. We paid the full price for 8 hours of use (we were out for about 5 hours) for an already damaged pontoon. Jeff also informed us that we owed an extra $250 for the trim that fell off during this ordeal. He was extremely unprofessional and did not offer any concern about this incident, even though our kids left feeling unsafe and we talked to him about our concerns. As we were leaving, he was filling the boat up with gas, so I worry that this boat will be rented out again to some poor unsuspecting family and worse will occur. Do not rent from these people. They do not care about their customers, only about money.

We had the best day on our fishing pontoon! Everyone we encountered was so friendly. Would highly…read morerecommend!
