Service was subpar. It was a Sunday sheet church so maybe that's why. Order was incorrect, they did offer to fix it. They never brought my son's breakfast and by the time we flagged someone down, it had been 30 minutes (yes we went to the front also to ask for assistance) by that time my toddler was over it. Food is very good, home style, especially for their prices. Their customer service is great and will greet you with a smile as though you were family. They are typically very busy and working hard to keep up with the demands. Since they are quite a busy place it can get to be quite loud in there. Homemade cooking at its best! This is a small restaurant that is easy to support because of the great food. Pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage, etc. are top-notch. Hamburgers and chicken fried steaks are excellent. I would definitely give Buck's a try. read more

Been here 3 times so far. The ladies working here are so sweet. I've had the meatloaf which is sooo good, home made madhed potatoes and green beans to die for. I came in for breakfast yesterday morning, after taking my kids to school. I got there seated my self and was waiting on service. She came around the corner and said I'm not fucking taking your order you can get your husband to do it. So, he came out of the kitchen and got my coffee, and I wrote my own order and right before I paid I said here is $7.00 to cover for my 1 biscuit & gravy, crispy bacon , coffee. She said I don't want your fucking tips give that shit to him. So I was like wow really so for now on I'll be going to a different country restaurant we're I will be welcomed at. Good home cooking! Taco salad is delicious, Monday meatloaf is just like mom made, breakfast always on point! I really like this restaurant but the smell of PineSol usually ends up ruining my meal before I'm done when they come out to clean the tables. Not a smell that's good when you are eating. We drove to Bucky's Cafe because of the 5 star Yelp Rating. We were on our way to Cooper Lake State Park and this was out of our way for a breakfast stop. Would the detour prove to be worth it? In my opinion, yes it was worth the drive and a 5 star rating because it matched all of MY criteria for 5 stars. The place was clean. The staff were as nice as could be. The menu was simple but complete and the prices were more than fair. My wife thought her dish was too greasy. No, this is not a place to go for health food. It is all about good comfort food. I had the Hobo Omelette and have to say it was decadent. I will pay the price at the gym on Monday but it was worth it. So, if you like a one off divy cafe with all the stuff to cure your hunger and put a smile on your face, I think you will like it here. If I am ever in the area again, I would love to try their burgers. The other Yelp reviews make me want to return and check those out. read more

Fantastic burgers! I had the Bucky's Burger: Char-grilled cheeseburger with grilled onions & mushrooms and had three large onion rings on the burger with Bucky's ranch dressing with all the veggies. Whew! I also ordered a side of very fresh fries. What was I thinking...so full, but very happy. Hubby also had fried cheese sticks with ranch dip that were awesome. Friendly place, very casual and laid back. Can't wait to go back for breakfast since this is what I'm told they are known for. Very reasonable prices. I wasn't too impressed with this place. I had the Cowboy burger and the lava rocks. The lava rocks were sausage that was soaked in lousiana hot sauce and frys. It seemed like they were masking the flavor of the sausage with the hot sauce. I don't know. I like lousiana hot sauce but damn. It looked like something I would throw together if I had run out of ingredients at home. And the burger.. it was okay.. only because of the BBQ sauce and onions that were on it. The patty itself was almost tastless. Okay done talking about the food. Let's talk about the restaurant itself. It looked dirty. The chairs were falling apart and some of the table tops definitely looked like they had seen better days. Also. Where I was sitting I could see into the kitchen and grease had built up on the cabinets and paint had worn away around all the handles. It just didn't look like a clean place. The only saving grace was the wait staff. They were very helpful and accomodiating. Also I liked all the posters they had hung up one the walls. They were fun to read while I waited on my food. Ohh. And I went around 1pm and it looked like they only had one cook in there. I felt kinda bad for him. He still got my food out in a decent amount of time though.
