It's an ok station to fill up my equinox. I got high standards for gas I only fill up my baby with the right fuel anything too high and I'm not in. Casey's has got the right prices so I'm all good. Unfortunately while I was at this fine establish it came to my surprise that a homeless fella was twerking on the sidewalk I got so distracted that I overfilled the equinox while admiring the free show. I am not disappointed that this location does not has a stage for twerking. Please build one. 3/5 good gas read more

Bucky's rocks! Fairly brand-new. Nice big store. Lots of pumps and spacing/layout is good. My only complaint is that the covering above the pumps isn't big enough, it basically ONLY covers the pumps - so when it's raining, you get soaked. It's almost like "what's the point?" - why'd you even build it if's not going to protect you from the elements. But it's a great gas station - I've started using this chain quite a bit. And they have a car was, but I can't review the wash as I haven't used it. read more

Fix your air system , I have been going there for 5 years and each year the true air dispenser does not work. Frustrating ... bad service

My mom went to get a car wash there and came out with a flat tire. Completely flat. Not only was the tire flat, but the rim was scratched from it. Her car is only about 3 months old too. As soon as she finally got her car out, she went inside calmly and the person working there had no clue what to do. She asked for the manager, but the manager was nowhere to be found. So she called the police to file a report and for them to pay for the tire as well as the tow truck to change the tire or tow it somewhere. After going back and forth, the manager still is nowhere to be found and the kid working at the gas station ended up paying for the tire change out of his pocket since the manager didn't want to be bothered. Needless to say, this place is very unprofessional and has zero customer service. It is unfortunate because I just moved to the area and will make sure NEVER to give them business and that others stay away as well. It's too bad there is no customer service there. read more

Absolutely amazing people! I stopped by after a long and stressful day and had trouble starting my gas pump. I restarted it twice but it still wasn't going. Lester, the man in charge, not only took care of me, but didn't charge me for my car wash AND upgraded it. But when I proceeded to the car wash, I saw traffic cones put up in front of the entrance, indicating the wash was closed. Gentlemen at the car wash restarted the wash just for me, to make sure I am taken care of. I am in awe of the customer service for this location. I have used the Buckys in McHenry for many years. But the past 4 times...in a row, I have had to go inside to get my receipt. Different pumps, different times of day. One time I had my grandson with and I do not like leaving him inside the car or getting him out of the car seat to get a receipt. The last time, the other day, I had bronchitis and wanted to go to bed, not into the store for a receipt. It kind of defeats the purpose of paying at the pump if I have to then go inside. Perhaps someone can check the paper each shift change or something so that it is filled. I have complained several times and they don't seem to care. read more

This is the worst and most overpriced car wash in a 10 mile radius. I tried it twice, for $12 both times ($14 is the most expensive wash & this is one level down) - and both times I pulled out with salt stains everywhere. My rear view mirrors were still caked with salt / dirt spots. I have a regular car - nothing oversized - nothing unique. Go to the Mobil further down on Town line road (further West) where the car wash actually will clean your car. You also don't have to get your tire perfectly aligned in those annoying tracks at that one either like you do at Bucky's. Their car wash is $8-10 and also lowers the gas price. read more

Very new and clean location that was rebuilt. I needed a newspaper...but it was the 1 thing I couldn't find. They have all sorts of refreshments and food but looks like only magazines... gas car wash vacuums and free air. I love the free air. I've had a breakfast sandwich here before that was good. Today I was extra hungry and got 2. One was awful. I don't know if it had been frozen and reheated multiple times as the croissant was beyond dry and towards the center it was very cold. Horrible station. After complaining for the past year and a half I finally decided to post this. Their card readers are horrible and many if not all of their customers end up having to go inside. If you have a credit card you have to tell them an amount when you go inside and that is also inconvenient because if you don't get the right amount then you don't get a fill up. If it is too much then you get a refund on your credit card. Vernon Hills deserves better than this further only gas station in town. Or at least the only convenient gas station in town. read more

This place is awesome ! :D I'm am normally so picky but I found myself unable to decide with all of the choices. Definitely a great pit stop for food munchies or a drink. They even have organic stuff if that's your style. I'd say this is a coffee lovers heaven. They have numerous coffee machines and styles and options. I can't wait to come back. It was hard not to buy the whole store. I got a huge fountain drink for 83 cents. Also of which they have an overwhelming selection to choose from. The manager was very friendly too as she saw me looking at the many coffee machines she began to tell me about them. read more

I like the convenient location of this gas station, it's on my way to and from work so I stop in a couple times a week. It's also very clean and the staff is friendly. The reason I'm only giving 3 stars is because of the coffee, it's extremely watered down and tasteless..I always think I just caught a bad batch but it seems to be the same every time I try it. Since that's the reason I stop in most of the time it's super disappointing. read more

It is deceptive (and unethical) to advertise a $7 carwash and then make it extremely difficult to get to the screen to choose. The more expensive options are all on one screen and then a "Help" option. When you click help, it just keeps circling back to the first screen. I asked an attendant to come out and show me how to get to the $7 choice and finally found it, but when my receipt printed out, there was no code for a carwash. I was told the manager knows about it. Previously was told when trying to use the vacuum and it didn't work, they weren't allowed to put a sign on it "Out of Order". I guess that is to deter people from walking inside to get their $1 back--really Bucky's, you are being pennywise and pound-foolish! read more

Re Bucky's Mobile Gas Station on Route 60 just west of Hawthorn Mall. I try not to go to this gas station, because every time I go there is NO paper in the machines and a receipt does NOT print. I must park my car and wait in line inside to request a receipt. I purposely use a credit card at the pump, so I do NOT have to go inside. This station defeats that purpose. You are FORCED to go inside (and I guess they hope you'll buy something in the little store). This has happened on each and every occasion no matter when or what pump I use. I'm especially maddened that the other day at zero degrees after pumping gas I was again made to go inside and wait and wait my turn to request a receipt. I really think they are doing it on purpose to get us into the little store to buy something besides gas or maybe they just don't care enough about the customers to give them the receipt that they should have. read more
