In fact, this one had no line at all during our fill-up. It has 4 islands, with the 3 leftmost having 3 pumps (thus requiring parallel parking if the middle one is the only one open) while the far right only has 2. (22 nozzles in all). Price per gallon was $3.799 for 87, but 93 octane was $5.099 (a 33% markup)...super glad that our car was fine with 87. It's close enough to the Costco warehouse to notice how empty the parking lot felt on a Monday afternoon. This time, though, my wife didn't want to browse (probably because we would have to take it home by plane).

So I pull around to go back to the storefront to get a refund for the car wash. The guy comes out of the store and says is the car wash not working? I said I don't know whether it's working or not. You've got cones in front of it so you can't get at it. I assume it's not working. The guy tells me no refund save the receipt that it is good for a year. I said I live in Chicago I just happened to be up in this area so I need a refund. The guy keeps telling me to come back and get the car wash. I said I don't live near here. I'm confident the plan is asked the customer to leave and hope they lose the receipt so they get $11 for nothing. Then I go inside and he gives me nine dollars for an eleven dollar car wash. He said that's all you get because you got the discount on the gas. I said that wasn't my fault. I was willing to buy the gas and a car wash. But for some reason it's not working and you had no idea. But you're still selling the car washes. I had to tell him I was going to dial 911 and tell the police to handle it. Finally he gave me the $2 back. BTW I would have never bothered the place with something like this. Waste of money and time. Go to We Wash across the street or anywhere but here.

Milwaukee Ave in Vernon Hills (Lake County) is consistently less then many of the other gas stations including Costco gas. When in Lake Cook I will always fill up at this Shell station. There is a huge difference in the price of a gallon of gas @ Costco Gas in Chicago (Crook County) vs Niles, IL (Cook County) vs Lake County. I have seen gas as high as $399.9/gallon on the south side near Midway Airport. Costco Gas tends to be anywhere from $.20 - $.30/gallon less then most gas stations. I refill my car either every day or every other day so I tend to watch the prices to try and save when I can. Look at the difference between 3 recent fill ups 08/07/19 - $297.9/gallon - Costco Gas Chicago (Crook County) 08/08/19 - $281.9/gallon - Costco Gas Niles (Cook Count 08/10/19 - $267.9/gallon - Shell Gas (Lake County). I will always fill up or top off at this Shell Gas Station when I am in the area.

Disregard the negative comments on here. This is the first gas station / car wash that has…read morecompelled me to write a review for all the best reasons. I came in and saw the "free vacuums" and wanted to quickly vacuum out my car before getting gas. I actually had zero intention of getting a car wash but after pulling up and spending about 20-30 min detailing my car with all the extras (all purpose cleaner and towels, scent, air gun, glass cleaner) and a vacuum that was the strongest suction I have ever seen, I felt guilty just using the freebies and decided to get a wash. Car wash is affordable and they have a monthly plan that also allows you to get your to 30 cents off / gallon of gas. The $10 monthly car wash pays for itself in gas if you fill up weekly. On top of all that, the car wash attendant came out when he saw me pull my mats out and offered to wash them for me unprompted. He even gave me a free towel. On top of that there is a very clean Dunkin inside the gas station and a "taco pros" that far exceeded my expectations for a gas station taco spot. Needless to say, I would drive the 15 min from my house weekly to stop here. Overall great experience.

For the most part, it provides everything you need to keep your car clean inside and out. Unfortunately, my experience went downhill. The license plate reader failed on nearly every visit, causing repeated delays at the entrance. A helpful employee once provided me with a windshield sticker to fix the issue, but I explained I don't put stickers on my windshield for safety and aesthetic reasons. That understanding allowed me to keep coming back and even recommend the business to others. The problem began when a newer employee saw me use the sticker, printed and kept my receipt, and gave me the impression I was being checked up on as if I had done something wrong. When I asked why, I was told in so many words that my setup wasn't acceptable and that they would "verify" things. Instead of resolving my concern, it escalated into an uncomfortable argument. Calling to speak with a supervisor didn't help either. I was connected with another employee who, when asked if they were actually the supervisor, replied with "more or less." Overall, what had been a business I promoted and enjoyed has turned into one I can no longer recommend. Miscommunication, unprofessional handling, and the lack of respect for loyal customers overshadow the positives.

I wanna have my car washed. I can't find it. I said the picture shows what time I was there. How hard could it be to find they're in order.
