I will say, Brandon is great to work with. He bends over backwards to help you when looking for a vehicle. The higher ups (excluding the guy you sign with) won't leave their glass office to even speak to you. Brandon was stuck being the middle man whenever we had questions. When asking what their "117 point inspection" entailed, they wouldn't give Brandon an answer. When asked about what maintenance they had performed on the vehicle after they received it, they wouldn't give Brandon an answer. To Brandon's credit, he is very kind, respectful, and friendly. It's a shame that the people he seems to answers to put him in these positions. The only reason we went with them is because they were the only ones to have the exact vehicle we were looking for that wasn't severely overpriced; and my husband is a mechanic so in the event something comes up that they didn't disclose, he can fix it. If you are buying used, be careful with this place. The fact they can't tell you what their touted inspection even is definitely leaves room for concern. read more

Warning: Dealership Took My Car, Refused Payment I sold my vehicle to this dealership after agreeing on a $59,000 sale price. All paperwork was signed, the car and keys were handed over, and they even requested the 10-day loan payoff from my lender. After completing the deal, the general manager later tried to back out, and as of now, neither the loan has been paid off nor have I received any funds. I've had to file formal complaints with the Washington State Attorney General and the Department of Licensing, because this is not just unprofessional--it's potentially illegal. It took Bud Clary service department 2 months to get 8 hours of labor and repair done for my truck. The department advisor and the whole management team could not come up with a simple plan yo make the repairs without putting me through hellish processes loaded with poor to no communication. They took a whole month of lying and stone walling me about their ability to perform the repair, and ended up sending my truck to their other dealership, who had the skill and tools to do the work. In the end, the job got done, but the fails were huge. I sent letters to Bud Clary, and Ford HQ. The GM of Bud Clary does not care about you. I got a call in April of this year, 2024, that I had 2 recalls on my 2016 Edge. The woman said she'd call me when the parts were in. NO call back from them. In November I got a 3rd recall and called the Bud Clary dealership and they scheduled a time to do all three recalls. The recalls were finally done yesterday, 12/11/24. Yesterday afternoon I was called about work that should be done after the recalls. Keeping in mind my car only has 28,445 miles on it and the work he said should be done came to over $4330. I PROMPTLY declined to have it done! Really? A $48,000+ vehicle I bought NEW in 2016 needed to have THAT much work done on it with only 28,000 miles? I'll be going elsewhere. If there are MORE recalls, I will go to a different dealership. So done!! Sorry about the end-of-year quota that won't be getting any of my money. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. So my truck is still in their shop. It's been in there since August 14th with little to no communication unless i instigate it. What i originally took it in for was fixed in about a month. However, on my way home after it was "fixed," it was pouring out coolant. My truck never did that before. I HAD TO HAVE it towed back to the dealership and was told it would be taken care of. So now the problem is a water pump failure, and my warranty covers 50%. I was told my portion is $298 +tax. Now, I had to again, reach out only to find that THEY broke some bolts on my truck and, surprise, it's now $3106 to fix it this time. This place isn't a good place for service, go somewhere else. I own a business and need to have a truck to operate it. I've had to use my girlfriends truck for 2 months. I've also lost out on about $10,000 in income. As a contractor, I work on other people's things or property, and if I break something on their house, I don't charge my customers, I don't charge their warranty. I fix it, or my insurance takes care of it. Plain and simple. I was raised on "you break it, you buy it." This place takes NO responsibility and needs to learn a lot about customer service and how communication works, I am NOT happy at all. I'm tired of the excuses from this place. I am ready to escalate this. I let the service advisor know, only to be told that management is out for the next few days. So again, another excuse or a lie. I don't believe this place should be run without some sort of management. Get your stuff together, Bud Clary Ford. I've lost my time, my money, and now respect for Ford. So I'm not sure why they have such a low rating. Here's my experience. I was after a very specific vehicle. A Hyundai N car. An Elantra N. First year Hyundai has released this car in a true N version. I called basically every dealer from the Canadian border to central CA. A few dealers were offering MSRP and while I know it's possible to get a better deal, with the rarity of the car and the state of the car market I decided to take the offer of a closer dealer, Longview Hyundai. There was no market adjustment at the time of my purchase but even if there were, I feel this dealer would've listened to a real offer. Along these same lines, I went into Portland Hyundai. Portland Hyundai let me walk over a thousand dollars over MSRP for market adjustment. I told them I'd buy their car if they sold it to me at MSRP and they said "thanks anyway". That's their choice and that's fine but it's just another reason I chose to purchase at Bud Clary Ford Hyundai. Gregg, Billy, and Gayle (finance) we're so easy to work with. No pressure. Did most of the deal from home. No pressure in finance. Good rate. 2.99. I was in the finance with Gayle for 12 minutes. Signed and got to enjoying the drive! I would highly recommend seeing Bud Clary Ford Hyundai. Give them a look at least. Make an offer. Don't always just accept market adjustment. Ask for Billy! I have a 2012 Hyundai Tucson. I made an appointment to have a recall 251on the ABS fuse replaced for safety reasons. I specifically asked that the security update recall 993 not be installed. It is noted on the paperwork customer declined. However, the tech George J installed it anyway. Forcing a software update when I specifically asked them not to is unacceptable. I will never have anything to do with any of the Clary dealerships ever again. read more

Just before the holidays I took delivery of a truck I had ordered back in July. I could not be happier with the entire process. Ronald, who helped me with the order process, knew his stuff and could not have been more helpful. Over the following months he reached out to me periodically to provide updates on my build. Last week I took delivery, and worked with Clint and Matt. Clint gave me a favorable offer on my trade-in a few days before I picked up my new truck. I'll be honest, on delivery day I was expecting the typical dealer BS where the value of my trade drops and the price of my new truck goes up, or a bunch of stuff I did not want added to my invoice. I was pleasantly surprised that none of this happened. I received what Clint promised on my trade and paid what Ronald and I agreed to back in July. The financial side of the transaction took about an hour - as it should! Matt then spent another hour with me going over features of my new truck. While I thought I knew everything about it, I was surprised by a few features he pointed out. Would I buy from Bud Clary again? YES, and I will recommend them to my friends. I will be having a factory winch installed shortly and will provide an update on my experience with their service department. read more

I really liked the salesperson(s) we dealt with when buying our car. They were kind and showed me the cars I was asking about. No high pressure sales tactics. The problems start with the paperwork. A month after we made our purchase, the same day my trip permit expired, I received an envelope via FedEx. The letter explained that I would need to arrange to have a VIN inspection and send the title paperwork to the DMV myself. Included in the paperwork was a note for my husband to sign on a previously notarized document meant for the previous owner's husband to sign. When we called to speak with Mary about it, she said to just sign it and send it in, or not sign it and hope DMV doesn't notice. When we asked why it took a month to let us know about the VIN inspection, we were told that she was too busy. Had I been advised that a VIN inspection was needed, I could have done it right away. It took all of 10 minutes at the DMV. I emailed Columbia Auto Group with my concerns. I followed up with one of the salesmen we dealt with to make sure the email was received. The salesman apologized and promised to forward the email to management. To date, I have heard nothing back. I am upset that the paperwork was handled so carelessly. There was incorrect information throughout. I am upset that there is not a single person at Columbia Auto Group that is concerned about how this all worked out. read more

Took my 2022 Hyundai in on 10/11/23 for my "Free oil change and tire rotation" the desk staff was friendly and after telling me my oil change and tire rotation were free they presented a form with a list of other services and mentioned that since my car had 13k miles on it and was a year old I may need some other services. When presented the form the customer service rep pointed to 3 prices at the bottom of the form one for each column. I chose the one that I thought said $63 and signed. When called to pay via phone before my car was delivered to work I was told my balance was $870.43. I was in complete shock and asked how on earth my 1 year old car needed $800+ in services. The reply was "I am so sorry ma'am I thought you knew what you were signing" they gave me a $50 discount and I paid $820.43. When presented with the paperwork while getting my car back I realized a tire alignment was listed and asked if my car needed an alignment and was told "we recommend it once a year" nobody could tell me if my alignment was even off prior. To top it off my car has smelled badly of vinegar since the filters were replaced at that appt not sure if it was the type of filter they replaced mine with but it is very strong. Please just be aware as I felt very stupid and taken advantage of at a business I had previously trusted going to after purchasing multiple vehicles there. I am including a picture of the form I signed and you can see the $63 that was pointed at is just a "monthly payment" and the actual amount is $804.50 which includes over $500 in just labor. I will be paying more attention in the future but want others to be aware as this feels like a way to scam people out of more money. If my car had truly needed these services I would not be upset. read more

Have had my truck there almost a dozen times for the same issue and every time they say it's fixed and I pick it up, it's still broke. They don't stand by their work, they lie not only to me, but directly to ford and the case manager that's been handling my claim for last six months. We have a paper trail of nothing but lies and they've been caught. They've had my truck for over three weeks now and have yet to give an estimate to Ford Motor Co so ford can cover the costs to repair my truck that the so called Techs at Columbia ford failed to do a half a dozen times over. This review, a google review, and now a complaint to the BBB and they still haven't reached out to give me or Ford motor co any details on my truck. They are nothing but a scam and I'll never buy another vehicle from them again and I'll share my story with anyone who cares to listen. read more

I made an appointment for a standard oil change, and scheduled a long lunch break at work. After 1.5 hours of waiting with no communication I checked and saw my car hadn't been touched. I explained that I needed to get back to work so they hunted down my keys and just said 'here you go'. It was a complete waste of my time and I guess they just expect me to do it again. We purchased a new vehicle form this dealership in 2022. From the moment they had the sale completed they've treated us extremely poorly. When the license plates arrived for the vehicle we bought, the dealership called my wife, who was 7 months pregnant, to let her know the plates were in. When she arrived she was handed the license plates and nobody offered to put them on. The next day she returned and requested that they install the front plate holder and put the plates on the vehicle, they refused to do it because the service department was closed and nobody around knew how to tack on the front plate holder. Why would they have the plates delivered to the dealership and not our house if they arent going to assist a very pregnant woman in putting the plates on the vehicle? They didnt even apologize to her, they straight faced handed a pregnant woman license plates and the front plate holder and said come back some other time. She took the vehicle to a different dealership who did it for us. We got three free oil changes with the purchase of the vehicle. The dealership offers services to pick up and drop off your vehicle for service. For all three oil changes we've scheduled the pick up and drop off. All three times theyve failed to pick up the vehicle and all three times they've failed to drop off the vehicle as they claimed they would, nor at the times they've said they would. The vehicle we purchased has had a couple recalls. After contacting them for the recalls they told us we'd be called and notified when the parts came in, we waited months for a call and heard nothing from them. When we called again they acted like we'd never contacted them originally for the recall and they didn't know we were waiting on the part to schedule the fix. Every single time i've contacted them about their poor customer service i've been met with shrugs and apologies and promises to do better in the future. They've failed every single time. I've bought vehicles from other bud clary locations and have had great experiences. I would never go back to the ford location and i reccomend nobody else does. It is extremely unprofessional and poorly run business. read more

Of course, I said no. Drove 200 feet down the street and was offered $1800 more on my trade in, and got a better truck. So just do you research on your trade in value with KBB and NADA and don't let this goonbah lowball you. Remember this, McCord Dodge is steps away and actually make you a fair offer. Friday late afternoon before Labor Day weekend and not a rental to be found in Longview. I just learned my car had serious damage and was in the shop at another dealer - without a rental for me. After calling rental companies and everywhere else - I came to CFLH and Phil was amazing in helping me out - he found a rental even though the inventory didn't appear to have one and set me up all in a matter of 10 min before closing. He actually did go the extra mile because he drove me up to Seattle and back, 2 hours each way to get the check and paperwork from my credit Union. Terry Zeller is also a former combat vet who served our country overseas, so I was pleased to work with a man like that on my car deal. read more

I will drive clear to Portland to get my Hyundai service instead of going right in my hometown. Horrible horrible service they charge me $144 to tell me that my airbags on my brand new 2021 car did not work yes I knew that they hadn't worked town since I bought the car that's why I brought it in told me that I must have broke it there's no way I broke the airbags absolutely crazy. Cars are beautiful, customer service not so much in the services department. 1) They wait to inform you that you need to reschedule until you get there - very inconvenient as most people need to take a day off work to get their car into be looked at. But never mind the needs of a customer. 2) The unfortunate individual I got to talk to couldn't seem less interested in helping me - after I stood there waiting to be helped for 10 minutes. 3) Never mind the millions of times I've called to even get an appointment, left messages and never was called back....... I needed some warranty work done on my car, called and made an appointment and got one for two weeks later, no problem. When I arrived they checked out my car and said they would need to order the part and then set up an appointment. Okay, two weeks later they installed the part, but the problem persisted because they did NOT diagnose the problem properly, even though there was a technical service bulletin about this problem on the vehicle. So now three more weeks later, the parts arrive and the set me up an appoint for two weeks later on the 17th of August. NOW HERE IS WHERE IT GETS INTERESTING... The appointment is confirmed the day before via text message, so I drive the 30 miles into the dealership, arrive early and they tell me, "We don't have time to do the job, you'll have to reschedule." REALLY? So, I reschedule AGAIN for September 1st, the job is only supposed to take four hours, about 5 hours in they tell me, "We're having issues". Now since they have no loaner vehicles, I'm essentially stranded and at their whim. They finally fix my car after a NINE HOUR WAIT, three months after I originally brought the car in and multiple wasted trips. Two years from now when I purchase my next car, it will NOT be from them. read more

Most frustrating day for my daughter and myself! My so in the auto industry found just the car my daughter wanted. It was at Bud Clary's in Longview. We live in Dallas Oregon, 3 Hours one way. My son made several calls to sales person there making the arrangements for us to make the drive to purchase the Kia Sedona! It was all pre setup, paying cash by check, no financing, all the details of the car..he was told the car would be waiting. We got on the road to make the 3 hr trip. Finally after a lot of downs in her life she was going to pay cash for the car of her dreams. We arrived, and the vehicle was waiting. She looked it all over and took it for a drive. Yes, this was her car. It was taken to be cleaned and ready to drive to its new home. We sat down and went over all the paperwork, agreed to everything except the theft insurance. She signed all the paperwork, check in hand. Sales person went and got it all approved by finance manager. Keys sitting in front of us! Then the manager came back to us and said they couldn't take the check. They were going to call the bank and get it approved, as the sales person made the call, another person came up and said they couldn't take the check even with bank approval!!!!! They were asked before we even got on the road about the check and were told no problem. Needless to say my daughter broke into tears, so many emotions were on this decision. We were basically told we could sign the papers, leave the check there and could come back and get the car in 3-5 days! It was a six hour trip! We weren't going to come back! Cost a lot just to get there today. And still wouldn't call on the check! No feelings, or emotions just no! It was the longest, worst, tearful 3 hr, ride home! No apologies! Nothing! I had a horrible experience with Beth at this Ford location. She called me Tuesday while I was at the doctor, I was being seen for severe bronchitis, and (I answered because I have to in case emergency with anyone at my work.) she said they have my parts and I need to schedule. I said okay, I am at doctor right now, and I am coughing up a lung while she is insisting on making an appt for me. I said okay whatever about appt she made for me, the only thing I got from the call was Friday. I was having a breathing treatment done because I was struggling to breathe as it was. So understanding her or her listening to me that I cant talk, didnt matter to her. Well here we are Friday, and I dont know what time my appt is, so I call at 8:51am and ask, and explain to her AGAIN I was sick and had no idea what time she scheduled my appt for. She said 9, I said well I am going to defiantly be late due to not knowing my appt. She said OK and HUNG UP ON ME!!!!! That is HORRIBLE HORRIBLE customer service. She has none, and then when I ask for supervisor when get there, she is snide about it, then I am treated shitty by others because I complained! That is not how life or customer service works!!! The ONLY good experiences I had was while Beth was getting her supervisor for me, Erik took my keys and started getting me assisted for the recalls on my car. Erik was very nice, caring and truly there to assist and help the customer! I am not sure of other mans name, but he was the shuttle driver and gave me a ride back to work, and he was very kind and friendly and I appreciate him and Erik. I mean come on I understand you have had to pay for my rental car and not making money off me for this service repair, but thats not my FAULT! I feel if going to be in customer service. My daughter was out of town and she had break problems, so I told her to go ahead and have the local Ford dealer work on her breaks and she can use her "Emergency" American Express card to pay for the repairs. When it came to pay for the repairs they told her that they would not accept her American Express. I've traveled all over the world and NEVER had a Ford Dealership not accept AMEX. They were willing to just lock up her car and leave her stranded. Don't use those company, just drive pass and head to the next dealership. read more

Our old car wouldn't start in the driveway. Had to call a cab to take us to get an Enterprise rental car. While in the cab the rental car place called us back and "OOPs, they didn't have a car for us. Driver recommended Columbia Ford as they have rental cars. When we arrived, they were out of rentals too. Ugh. Turns out we looked at their used cars and purchased one on the spot. Financing was simple and we drove out in our new car. Of course it wouldn't duplicate the condition right away but they persevered and discovered the problem after trouble shooting a ton of possibilities.
