Protein toast without egg and the 8oz açaí bowl - built my own 3
    Rachel H.

Patron for life! Maria's is a charming, upbeat, super cool spot. Her menu is thoughtful, healthy and, very importantly, DELICIOUS!!!!! I got the protein toast sans egg and the açaí bowl and love all the extra touches (such as micro greens)!!!! Also- I got to meet Maria and love her enthusiasm for health and creating good food. So excited to visit here whenever I'm in town!!! My only mistake- getting an 8oz bowl instead of a 16oz :) can't wait to try some baked goods next time as well!!!!

Excellent food, not so pleasant atmosphere…read more We stopped at Liza's of Troy for breakfast in Feb 2025 based on good reviews and appealing food pics. The order was taken at the register and then brought to our table. The food tasted great and was served quickly! All the dishes had a beautiful presentation! Coffee was a French press and was really good! The place had no cream or sugar for the coffee. Also there were no salt and pepper shakers on any table. When I asked for some salt they gave me a plastic sauce cap with some salt on the bottom to take it with my fingers. It was quite weird. For some reason "Butternut Squash Bowl" had only one egg while all other breakfast items had two. Not sure why this one was special. The real problem however was the smell. The very first impression we got upon entering was a strong smell of fried bacon and other foods. It was like standing next to a stove because the space is fully open, with no divider between the sitting area and the kitchen. In such a setup you need a strong hood exhaust but that in turn would make a lot of noise. Anyway, instead of taking our time enjoying the breakfast and great coffee we had to finish it asap and escape to prevent our jackets absorbing the smell :( We are giving Liza's of Troy 4 stars is it got 5+ on the food and coffee and 3 on the interior and atmosphere. Food ordered Butternut Squash Bowl - excellent and nicely presented. Had to order additional egg though. Breakfast Bowl - excellent and nicely presented. Big Betty Breakfast Sandwich - delicious.

In searching for a healthy lunch option that has delivery options on Yelp, I came upon Bowled. I ordered one of their signature açai bowls. It came with an açai base, peanut butter, berries, granola, banana, and chia seeds. The ingredients were all fresh, it tasted delicious and was incredibly satisfying. It filled me up and got me through my workday. Their bowls deliver well so no worries there. My bowl arrived at my door perfect and ready to eat. Not sure what their in house experience is like but as for delivery--get to it!

I ordered a fruit bowl W/bananas, blueberries and strawberries. I received a half full bowl of blueberries, old bananas w/the peeling still on it and 3 little pieces of strawberries (picture below). I refused to eat it because it look like it fell on the floor and was scraped back into the bowl. That's how bad it looked. I also ordered a Protein bowl. Yuk. It was a bowl of spinach, no romaine, couple pieces of hard boiled egg along with/a few other things. The croutons tasted like they were freezer burned. I took all of them out and tried to eat the rest of the food but I just couldn't do it. I will never order from here again. You are definitely one of the reasons I don't really eat out like I use to. Y'all just don't care about the quality of the food anymore. Smh

There is a traffic light on Hoosick Street, so getting into and out of the parking lot is easy. There is no table service. My observation is that the vast majority of their business is take out. You order at the counter and after they're done making your order they call your name out and you pick it up at the counter. Just like Burger King or McDonald's. Your order is displayed on a touchscreen that asks how do you want to pay, what kind of receipt you want, and if you want to leave a tip. I usually leave a small tip, although they don't do anything other than their job. They just take your order and make your food and that's it. I can't see anything that differentiates good service from bad service. Eating in is functional but not comfortable. Similar to a fast food restaurant The bathrooms are relatively clean, the tables are usually, but not always, clean. The dining tables have hard wooden benches. At least they have cushions on some of the benches that make sitting a little more comfortable. All in all, a typical fast food dining experience. The food is healthy, but much more flavorful than typical health food. I like the sriracha sauce, which spices up everything. I've narrowed my selections down to one or two items that I get on a regular basis. They are consistent about how they make each food item. Every order is identical, neat, and tidy. There are a number of signature items, but everything can be customized. Some additional items come at no cost, for others there is a small up charge. This is essentially a fast food restaurant serving healthy food. The dining in experience could be improved, and the service could be more consistent, but the food itself is fresh and tasty. Ordered the BrEGGY X Sammy Local Buns + 2 Farm Eggys + White Cheddar + Avocado + Pesto+ Pink Salt The "local bun" was a version of a common white blah hamburger roll. Toasting was not an option, or it was not offered. The "Sammy" did not taste good because the eggs had bits of shell, the avocado was very soft, and the pesto made the roll soggy. Did not taste the salt, and pepper would have improved the flavor. Ate only half. My favorite is the poke bowl, followed closely by the bruschetta bowl. The staff is the BEST of all the food trucks outside of the Capitol. They make an effort to make you happy, so switch proteins, substitute protein- they have tofu, they'll make it Keto if that's your preference..
