Would have been nice if the officer to just leave a note so I would know for the future that it's a seasonal thing. I checked the website and it only indicated from Memorial Day to Labor Day. I called the office and was told that they couldn't do anything g but would change their website to reflect the town rules. This park is under utilized! They could at least let surrounding towns use it off season. It would be good got the community... bring g business to the city.

It wasn't crowded and we were able to stay at least 20 feet away from each other as of May 4, 2020. My toddler enjoyed walking in the sand barefoot and picking up empty shells and dried seaweed. Bring a mat and enjoy the fresh air and sunlight while maintaining the social distance!

I was there after peak hours, but the beach seemed clean and peaceful. Although I don't think I'd recommend going into the water, it's a nice place to relax and walk, or even to clear your mind and perhaps meditate.
