Our favorite Clinton TN restaurant…read more... Takes a while to adjust to the Orange. Tennessee-Ohio State not played often, when the Vols defeated the Buckeyes 20-14 in the 1996 Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida. The game featured a pair of huge stars. The Vols were led by then-sophomore quarterback Peyton Manning, who went on to became a Pro Football Hall of Famer and one of the greatest passers in NFL history. No. 8 Ohio State defeated No. 9 Tennessee 42-17 in the 2024 College Football Playoff first round on December 21, 2024. The Buckeyes dominated early, leading 21-0 in the first quarter and 42-10 by the fourth, led by Will Howard's two touchdown passes to Jeremiah Smith and strong rushing performances from TreVeyon Henderson and Quinshon Judkins. Clinton has many Knoxville fans, and nearly all are wearing Orange Ball hats whilst dining. I goto my XT5 to retrieve my OSU National Champs hat. At any rate Gondolier is full and most folks are having Italian or pizza. Caveat: This place is too good to order pizza.

He didn't ask if we were done with them, just if we wanted more. When we got our calzone, we had asked for extra ricotta. There was almost none in the calzone. Being from NY, that's what makes a calzone a calzone. Many skimp on it, so we asked for extra. There was about a 1 TBS glob in one part of it. "Pepperoni" which was the fake red mini salami, was just in a lump I the middle of the calzone. The sauce had no flavor. It tasted like it was poured out of a can. Then we waited for the bill/ card to be picked up and we had to find someone to give it to. There was but one other customer, so no reason to wait. Overall, service was sub par and food was not good:( Not sure how this place even got to the 3.9 rating.

After a few visits, I figured it's time to finally write a review for Buffalo Mountain Grill…read more BMG is an unassuming spot--definitely not trying to impress you with its looks. When you walk in, there's no host stand or friendly greeter, just a sign that says, "Seat yourself and let us know you're here." The layout feels a bit patched together, like a restaurant built from spare parts. It's dimly lit, and the interior design doesn't seem like a top priority--so I wouldn't recommend it for a first date or an attempt to impress someone. It has strong dive bar energy, just in restaurant form. There is a small outdoor patio, and the bonus? It's dog-friendly. Inside, there are plenty of TVs, so it leans a bit toward sports bar territory--but without the usual rowdy crowd or game-day vibe. Service has been solid overall. On our first attempt to eat here, they let us know they were short-staffed and wouldn't be able to serve us for an hour. Disappointing, sure--but I appreciated the honesty and that they didn't waste our time. On return visits, service has been on point. We were greeted quickly, our server was helpful and attentive, and food came out hot. There is a bar, but don't expect craft cocktails or a resident mixologist. It's best to keep it simple here: grab a beer on tap or something straightforward like a whiskey neat. Anything more complicated might fall flat. As for the food, it's been consistently good. The hot wings are a standout--crispy with a flavorful hot sauce that actually delivers on heat. I've also tried the fish & chips and the burger; both were solid and satisfying. The only inconsistency was with the side salad. The first time it came out with a fresh spring mix, but on another visit, it was just iceberg lettuce--not a dealbreaker, but a little disappointing. We used to go to Oakey's for our dive-bar wings and casual grub, but Buffalo Mountain Grill has taken that spot for us. It's quirky, no-frills, and definitely not fancy--but they serve up legit food and deliver where it counts. Give it a shot. Just don't come looking for ambience--come hungry.

This is the THIRD time this has happened, and I'm officially done trying to give this place…read morechances. Tonight I called at 8:25 and spoke to someone about placing an order. I called back at 8:30 (literally FIVE minutes later) to place the order while I was already sitting outside, and the same man suddenly tells me they're closed. Mind you, the store hours say they close at 10 PM. When I told him I had just spoken to him 5 minutes before, he immediately got hateful and rude, started raising his voice, and then turned the lights off like I was bothering him for trying to order food during business hours. Just 4-5 days ago the SAME thing happened except it was around 9 PM. At this point it's honestly giving pure laziness and unprofessional behavior. I'm really not understanding how this place is still open if employees can just close whenever they feel like it and treat customers like trash. He refused to tell me his name and was literally yelling saying his name is "Buffalo Grille" (???) which tells me everything I need to know. I'm sure I'm not the first customer who's been yelled at or cussed at over the phone. I will be calling every day until I get answers from a manager or owner because this is unacceptable. DO NOT waste your time here. Still no apology from owner

I liked it but I didn't have much ranch and the slices I got hardly had chicken. I hear eating in the restaurant is better because they'll give you more ranch to dip it in. I really enjoyed The Big Hoss (pepperoni, ham, bacon, and sausage). The seasonings were all very tasty. The cheese pizza was 'meh' but that's to be expected with cheese pizza. Pizza Hoss isn't boss level, but it's solid.

We weren't a fan of the sauce on the pizza, and the cheese, which there was very little of, was not flavorful. I think (very locally) Gondolier and Elidios make a much better pizza. Even whole foods knoxville makes a much better pizza. I'm just surprised by the high score for this pizza place? Have none of these people been (knoxville) to Adopo or Tomato Head or Jabonis or even mellow mushroom? I would probably say the pizza here in my opinion is similar to your chain pizza delivery places. The pizza wasn't terrible just not special at all. I think pizza can be a very personal taste item. Just not impressed with Pizza Hoss Emory. I'm rating this establishment maybe higher than the review because the service and ambience was good.

It is very limited in the local area to find made to order fresh pizza other than big chain stores,…read moreso I was delighted to find blind frog cafe, very nice looking inside with tvs and ice cream, nice atmosphere, I always try a business 2 or 3 times before making reviews, 1st time I went in they had a few people at tables 6 total customers, so not very busy, order 2 personal 10in pizza 1 cheese 1 meat lovers for takeout, very expensive at 9.99 & 14.00 compared to other pizzeria in proximity radius (I don't mind paying for good quality food if it's perfect) again it's a tourist spot so I guess they can charge higher prices, pretty quickly I got the pizzas hot and ready before I could finish my beverage, counter girl was very nice and polite (owner daughter I found out), finally got home look under pizza an was burnt charred like they had the oven way to hot, ok not a deal breaker but I would have not served it to a customer, pizza taste was ok for being burnt on bottom, nothing to rave about, I always give business benefit of doubt maybe they had a bad day or just not on point that day... So I figured a week later I would try again 2nd time, to see if was same or better or worse this time I went in, no customer whatsoever in business, ordered same, 2 10in personal 1 cheese & 1 meatlovers an 1 beverage came to $30.04. Best pizza in the area hands down

It will be a great spot for the ATV'ers and tourists that are coming back from cabins and rides. The service was great with no issues in seating, ordering, or help - they were very nice!
