They weren't able to fix the situation and they advised me to take the truck to a dealership or to an electrical mechanic. So I went to Victory Chevrolet in Mt. Holly and the service advisor told me that I shouldn't waste any money in the vehicle because it was old and smelled liked mold, mildew and had the worst water damage he's ever seen. Needless to say I was disheartened and didn't know what to do so I looked up mechanics in the Belmont and Mount Holly area. This is where I came across R&M Auto Center, their reviews were almost perfect so I called them up and the front desk was very helpful, professional and pleasant. She set up an appointment for me relatively soon. When I arrived, I spoke with Cameron and explained the situation in detail with the brake lights, the driver's window not going down and locks not working. He assured me that it would be taken care of. He also reiterated that the diagnostics fee was $103 and if they didn't resolve the issue in the first 45 or hour then there would be an additional charge for each additional hour. I left my vehicle overnight and when they call me back the next day, to let me know what the issue was, I was worried but Leslie explained that they found the issue and it was a simple fix for the brake lights. I was extremely happy about the price because I was thinking the worst. They finished my vehicle and did my inspection as well in a timely manner. When I picked up my vehicle I was surprised that the driver's window worked and the locks on the truck worked as well and yes the brake lights were fixed. They took care of everything and didn't try to exploit the situation. Overall, I would definitely recommend R & M Auto Center for your vehicle's repairs because they are truly honest, upfront and do great work on your vehicle for a very fair price.

The only recommendation I have would be that they should break down the cost of parts, and labor seperately when they do a quote. There is also a seperate environmental fee for the service. They also left my car unsecured overnight with all of the doors in my car unsecured parked outside of the parking lot. Security should be important for all customers cars especially when they are park on the outside of the repair shop. They are busy so you will have to wait a few days for the repairs to be completed. I brought my car here for a routine oil change. I thought everything went fine until I discovered the oil had leaked out all over my garage floor. I saw the oil on a Friday and this shop is closed weekends so I left them a voicemail over the weekend. I couldn't drive it to a different shop because there was no oil on the dipstick when I checked it. I spent the entire weekend stressing about if they had done permanent damage to my engine and couldn't drive anywhere. They didn't even bother to call me on Monday- I had to call them again. I had it towed to their shop and when they called me after looking at it 4 hours later, they proceeded to lie about what caused the leak. The tech tried to say the oil plug leaked but that happened "for no reason", not because they didn't tighten it the first time. Anyone who knows anything about cars knows that oil plugs don't loosen on their own. They lied to me to avoid responsibility and assumed I wouldn't know anything about cars. I asked to speak with a manager who admitted they "may not" have tightened the oil plug which is absolutely what happened. He never offered to refund the oil change or do anything to apologize and try to make the situation better. I told him he needed to refund the oil change. But that doesn't cover the tow, Uber, taking a day off from work, having an huge oil stain on my garage floor, and the stress. I also do not appreciate being lied to. I cannot recommend this shop because they did not take ownership of a serious mistake that almost permanently damaged my engine, and did not make the situation right.

Next, we asked how much is it to plug or patch a flat tire and they couldn't or wouldn't give us a transparent answer. We typically go to NTB because they offer FREE flat tire repair to Veterans, but this was urgent and we thought it wouldn't be expensive right? Initially they couldn't find the nail, but after a awhile I assume they found it, because an hour later I had to walk into the work bay to see what was taking so long and I guess they were done. The waiting area is hotter than a sauna! We found the thermostat and lowered it to 74 it was at 78!!! They have a TV with no remote and it's off, they have old candy in machines, and it's very dirty and unkept. An hour or so later we were charged $30+ dollars for a small nail in our tire! A complete rip off AND they don't offer military discounts. I won't return.
