Great friendly service. Although they were short staffed they changed pads and rotors within an hour. Test drove the car and explained to me what to expect for the first 300-400 miles. Lifetime warranty on the pads. I'm not sure if they are cheap compared to others, but I feel that I got a good value for my money. They will crash your into there wall. I took my car there over a year ago and thay crashed it into a wall. And didn't even get it fixed properly. To this day I'm still having problems with my car. Stay away if you can help it. And I had to go through my insurance just to get it fixed. read more

I've been having some squeeking and grinding brakes and I went here based upon some recommendations and their Yelp reviews. I made an appointment and went down on a Saturday morning. I had my puppers with me as I figured we'd be awhile. I went next door and sat out on the patio of another business and waited. I received a call from the service manager and he told me my brakes actually weren't bad, but that they were metallic brakes instead of the ceramic brakes my car should use. My ex had the brakes done last so I had no idea what type of brakes were on there. Anyway, he said the noise was caused by metallic bits getting in somewhere and causing the issue. He gave me 3 options with various prices. The easiest and cheapest of the options was to have them clean out the area, smooth something down and tighten up the brakes. I opted for that one as he said the brakes were still quite useable. When I went to pay, I checked in on my Yelp app and there was a check-in offer for $15 off. Awesome. And my breaks? So far so good. No noises or grinding. When it comes time to actually change the brakes, I will definitely come back here. I appreciated the service manager explaining to me as best as he could to someone who doesn't know anything about brakes. He was friendly and professional. Both time the guys at budget showed me my brakes and said I had at least 65% left and charged me nothing. I really value their honesty. Took my car their to have the left back breaks looked at because it was grinding. I told the guy that i did not want their free break inspection. Because i already knew what was going on with it. Went across the street for breakfast and came back 30 min later and all 4 tires were off. Tried to up sell me on a lot of stuff that i did not want done. Took their anonymous survey and guess what it was not anonymous because i got a phone call today from them and her made excuses and even lied and said he tried to call me. I have never written a review of a product or a place of business I did business or purchased from until now. Last week I went to Budget Brakes to have the rear brakes redone. I waited 5+ hours before my car was inspected. Then I was told that they did not have the parts but that they would order the parts and I could come back the next day and get the work done. The estimate I was given to replace the rear drums and shoes was $600.00+. I came back two days later and was told that the parts had not been ordered but, they would and for me to come back later that day. I did not. The main reasons I went to Budget Brakes were; they specialize in brakes and two their name gives the impression that the cost will be reasonable. But, neither were correct. As I said earlier, the quote they gave me was $600.00 but instead of going back to Budget Brakes I went to my regular mechanic. I was very upset and figured his price would not be too much more that Budget and he would be quicker. But to my surprise they did the same repairs and the bill was $216.00. A saving of $400.00. As you have already guessed, I will not recommend anyone to go to Budget Brakes. read more

I went here yesterday and was treated horribly. Like I was taken aback by the things that were said to me at the hixson location in regards to what was broken on my car and that they wanted me to fix that day. The district manager got in touch with me though after I reviewed them about what transpired and he sent me to the brainard location and made things better. The man I spoke to there, Allen, was very sweet and kind and helpful. If you go to budget breaks take the extra time on your trip and go to the brainard location...the extra miles is worth being teated like a valued costomer instead of someone that can be taken advantage of. read more

Great service, great prices. These guys tore my vehicle down, turned the rotors(all 4 wheels), installed new pads on both axles, and had me out the door in less than 2 hours. We have taken two of our cars to this Budget Brakes location. They honored the lifetime warranty on the first car. Yesterday, when I took in the second car for front brakes, they were ready with the inspection results when they said they would, didn't try to up-sell rear brakes, they found severe damage to a tire and had the car ready to go about a half hour later.
