    Chaos.

This place is wild. They don't even staff the counter and direct you to Avis. Then... after waiting in line for an hour they have no details on the reservation. They do get us a car. So we think. They send us to the location of that car. There's no car. We go back. The clerk starts looking for a car. We cancel and get charged anyway. This is now 2 hours into it. We tell the clerk we were charged. She tells us to go out to the parking lot where the manager will be waiting for us. He will take care of it. The manager is sitting in a booth with a line of people waiting for him... some of whom have been waiting for over an hour. I go back inside. The clerk says there's nothing she can do and no matter what I say that won't change. Oh... and she never bothers to apologize. I got the impression this was a routine day for her. No big deal. We call an Uber. I do not recommend this business.

Horrible service Long ass lines and only one employee working Negative stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was in Cleveland for a work trip and waited over 2 hours in line which was a huge inconvenience my work meetings were delayed!!

Awful service, line was 20 people deep with one person working the counter and kids screaming because they were waiting for over an hour. Go to ent other rental car place at this location. All were much better

They gave me a banged up car

Meh...service upon check in was ok. Not bad, not good, not helpful. Service returning car was excellent. I find this to be the case at a lot of rental places, it's not specific to. Budget. The car was bigger than what I had reserved which was a nice upgrade but it was pretty beat up. Nothing noteworthy to report. They had the best price and they're my go-to company for rentals.

Set up online, requested a mystery vehicle via the budget website. When we arrived at the budget desk, they guided us to the avis rental company. We had a quick great experience. The ladies were super sweet. I said it would be fun to have an EV but needed it to fit my 6'3" son, they gave us a 2024 Ford F150 lightening! We got to the truck, it looked great but smelled horrible. Right on the widow it says $450 cleaning fee for smoking may apply. Obviously the last renters didn't care cause it leaked of cigarettes & pot. We went to the store & got deodorizer & a car freshener. There was drink residue on the center console. Other than that, this has been a great truck! We needed to extend the rental return date. I was able to easily do it from my phone on the budget website, even though avis provided us the truck. Now the nitty gritty.... Pros of renting an EV... spent less than $200 on charging for 2 weeks, rides really nice, all the bells & whistles & I'm loving the frunk. Cons: if you don't have a home charging unit, it really sucks to have to find one & either sit while it charges or get dropped off & picked up. Some chargers are super slow, some super fast, kind of like cell phone charger. Some charger charge extra/hr, if you don't disconnect within 10 mins of finished charging. Specific to a F150...the mileage to charge ratio isn't that great. About 215 miles per full charge, so it's you are staying outside of town it requires charging nightly. Need to return it with at least 70% charge but no place close to charge near the return desk. Overall we are happy with the experience we had & will definitely get a rental when coming home just probably not a ev truck

Marks all over the car that were not documented prior to me renting the vehicle

I wish I could give zero stars. This is the absolute worst company and location. The staff are constantly giving misinformation and never providing an answer with confidence. EVERY SINGLE LAST ONE OF THEIR VEHICLES ARE FILTHY. Pieces are missing or broken in the vehicles. Make sure that you inspect the vehicle before pulling off because they will try to charge you for cleaning and dents/damage that you are not responsible for. be sure to ask when the vehicles last maintenance was because they will allow you to travel across country without checking the oil life, tires or the toll device. This company needs to be shut down immediately. They should be ashamed of the shady business that they're running. Keep all of your documents and pictures. This business is as crooked as they come. I will be taking further action.

Located between the Greater Cleveland metropolitan suburbs of Berea and Brooklyn Heights (in the outer suburb of Brookpark) and on the grounds of the new Cleveland Browns stadium, and about 8.7 miles directly southwest of downtown Cleveland, in the designated neighborhood of Hopkins (known as Riverside until 2015). Cleveland-Hopkins covers an area of 1,717 acres in Brookpark's Hopkins neighborhood, and has three "standard" (for the US) runways, though unlike San Diego, it has no EMAS arrestor system for aircraft. Hopkins and San Diego are actually about the same geographic size. One of NASA's ten designated field research sites, the Glenn Research Center, is on airport grounds but not airport property as NASA is a federal department paid by US taxes each year. I wasn't exaggerating when I mentioned that Cleveland-Hopkins has been at the forefront of pioneering innovations. CLE was the first airport with an air traffic control tower (ATC) and a two-level/split design separating arrivals from departures. Both of which are now ubiquitous at nearly every airport in the US, and most airports around the world today. In fact, it is now mandated by FAA regulations to have some type of true air traffic control tower. Cleveland-Hopkins was also the first airport in North America to be directly connected with a rail transit line, connected directly to the red line train of the Greater Cleveland Rapid Transit Authority (GCRTA) with a built-in train station beneath the airport-proper that connects to departures through a quick escalator or elevator ride. Cleveland-Hopkins was a hub for United Airlines from the post-World War II era until the mid-1980s. After United moved out, Continental Airlines moved in, making it the dominant carrier at the airport in the 1990s and 2000s. In 2010, United and Continental merged, keeping the United name and eliminating the Continental name, resulting in Cleveland becoming a United hub again. However, in 2014, United discontinued its hub, though it still has a flight attendant base, pilot base, and maintenance facilities at the airport and is its largest carrier by passenger count. When United stopped using CLE as a hub in 2014, they closed Concourse D (a separate satellite terminal connected to the main facility via underground walkway) but United kept paying rent on the lease to the satellite. Even in 2026, United is still the largest carrier at Cleveland-Hopkins despite the prevalence of Low-Cost Carriers who found a new home at CLE; with the shutdown of Spirit Airlines, United closed the metaphorical door on Low-Cost Carriers expanding or coming into Cleveland-Hopkins. Most LCCs have, for the most part, aside from Allegiant Air, Sun Country (until their merger with Allegiant is finalized though Allegiant likely is not moving out), and Southwest Airlines, pulled out of Cleveland-Hopkins to center their operations further south at Akron-Canton Regional Airport, which is more affordable for Low-Cost Carriers per gate rental. Some context for the "Hopkins" moniker; CLE airport was named after its founder, former city manager William R. Hopkins, which the city dedicated to him on Hopkins' 82nd birthday in 1951, 26 years after the airport itself was founded by Hopkins; Cleveland-Hopkins International Airport (CLE) turns 101 years old this month. Decent, but looking forward to the improvements.

Never received it so I went up to the Dollar desk ... there was a young lady sitting there looking at her cell phone... I said hello and I stood there for a few minutes before she looked up at me with a confused look. I explained to her that I never received the text telling me which car I should take... I showed her my confirmation number.. she said their system had been down for the last hour and she was having trouble looking up which car was assigned to me. A man came over to the desk and he called someone asking about how they could figure out which cars went to who since the system was down... the girl was manually writing up the paperwork for me... they then figured out I was the one who did the manager's special. Which said online that it would be revealed when I picked up the car. They gave me a Kia EV. I've never driven anEV before so I asked the about when I return it did it need charged to a certain charge... he said bring it back with at least 80% charge... after I started heading to my parents who live in North Canton, I had gone about 20 miles and was alerted I needed to charge the vehicle... THEY GAVE ME AN EV THAT ONLY HAD 8% CHARGE LEFT... I HAD TO QUICKLY FIND A PLACE TO CHARGE IT SO I COULD MAKE IT TO MY PARENTS. I couldn't find a super charge station and the only one I found had a 4 hour limit which I didn't have time for and because the battery was so low it said it would take 11 hours to charge to full capacity. My parents who are almost 80 met me in Fairlawn and we went to dinner while the car charge enough to get me to there house. I will most likely use a different rental car place next time rather than Dollar.
