I had two guys come out to help move my parents out of an elderly living community and into another. This is the third time we have used Budget Hauling for my parents. The two guys that showed up were Marquez and Ethan. They were on time, efficient and most of all very courteous when it came to interacting with my parents and taking special care of their belongings. Really appreciate it guys! The packers and delivery people did a great job, however, I paid for them to do the TV mounting and no one showed up. I called several times for a week, texted, and emailed and they were unresponsive. One of my 65 inch tv's was broken when my contractor mounted it and turned it on. I just used them and feel completely scammed by them. I was given a quote, told them I couldn't afford it, they gave me a different price to which I agreed to. Their movers for 1.5 hours late but that's fine they were good people. Then I got a bill from them for way more than the price. The people in their office not even the movers said it was because my move took longer than anticipated. Their movers were welcome to leave at any time. I was not aware I had to have them leave at a certain time and that if they stayed longer I would have to pay almost 200 more than what I was quoted. For reference they stayed an hour and a half longer. The movers also didn't know how to take apart my bed and so I had to and had to put it together too. I feel so completely scammed and upset. They did refund me $520 a fraction of what was broken and missing at least three boxes that I know. My wife and I went through Budget Hauling for a move from Sacramento to Nevada. Kayla came to our house and provided us a quote, which included 6 movers and 2 trucks. On the day of the move, we had most of our house ready to go, and the team made quick work loading 2 trucks and we were out the door. They unpacked just as quick, but each box was color coordinated with what room it should go into. The movers did not seem to care about this and stacked boxes where ever they wanted. We also had a gym set up in our garage in the last house and I asked David to replicate that and set up the gym in the new house the same as before. The movers decided to spread our gym equipment not only all around the garage, but also inside the house. We had also purchased pizza and drinks for the crew. Some of the movers ate while unloading, dropping toppings and sauce inside the house and around the garage. As the movers were leaving, one of them ran back with a set of dumbbells that were left in the truck. They also left trash all over the garage and placed trash in boxes that had our personal items in them, not trash. One of our refrigerators was left with the handles off and we later found out it had been damaged (broken plug) in the move, so I wrote an email to David regarding these issues, as well as the newly found broken refrigerator. Seven days later and no response, I emailed David again and he replied with "Your concerns were discussed with the movers. Thank you for your email." I replied with "Got it, what about the broken refrigerator?" Nothing but crickets and I'm guessing we won't hear back from them. Overall, the crew made quick work, but our stuff isn't their stuff, and you can see that's exactly how they treated it. It's all about how quickly they can do the job, not how correctly they can do it. If you value your possessions, use another company. UPDATE! See the email from David. The handles for our refrigerator were on before the move and if they couldn't get put back on, that's the owner's fault or the mover that took them off? Also, your movers could've tested our refrigerator at any time! We were told by your wife to have our refrigerators unplugged, and turned off. Why wouldn't your movers just plug the fridge in to function test it? Instead, your movers broke our refrigerator and now you blame the customer. As you can see, what a fantastic business owner! The problem began after the move. We were initially told that 4 movers would show. 3 actually showed up (Joe, Steven, and another newer person). Someone at Budget Hauling lied to HireAHelper after the job was done saying that a fourth person had shown up (it is unclear who is in on this fraud at Budget Hauling and/or Hire A Helper). They over charged us hundreds of dollars for this ghost fourth person, and claimed that the person was in the truck and unloading at our UPack site and we just hadn't seen him. Because they never actually sent a fourth person, the move took much longer. My husband and I were on both sides throughout and we were introduced to all the movers and were with them the entire time. This is a blatant lie. Then, they sent photos to HireAHelper to "prove" there were four movers. Two pictures were real and had the 3 movers who were there. The other was a fake picture with a fourth guy we never saw in a truck that wasn't ours with boxes that weren't ours labeled eggs. They had wiped the location data off the picture. We have documentation showing that Budget Hauling would adjust the number of movers from 4 to 3 because only 3 people showed up the day of. Hire A Helper has not useful. They claimed to call Budget Hauling and they seemed to be able to immediately respond with the fake picture. However, it's now been 3 days and they haven't responded to the clear documentation we shared. We've rejected all of their charges, and are waiting for them to charge us the true amount. We have two little kids, and this is the last thing you want to deal with when moving across the country. Save your self the headache. DO NOT USE BUDGET HAULING LLC. Kaila was super helpful and understanding on the phone in getting everything set up. I was able to get a crew booked for the next morning. Davey and Justin showed up right on time, ready to go. Budget Haulers did a GREAT job moving our baby grand piano on Tuesday. Communication was excellent. They let me know when they would arrive. They put protective sheeting on my new floor to roll it onto. They checked before they brought it in to make sure the route was clear and to ask us where it was going. There were three of them and they communicated with one another very well about what to do next. They also asked us how to place it before they brought it in. The scariest part, lifting the piano onto two legs while the third was attached, they handled perfectly. All this and they were pleasant and friendly, as well. For most of my life, I have been an owner or employee of small businesses and have always been a huge supporter of them. All companies make mistakes but how they react or correct these mistakes are the tests of an owner's character and ethics. On December 2020, I hired Budget Hauling to move a hide-a-bed sofa from the second story of my house. While moving the sofa, our banister was scratched. Things happen. The repair to fix the banister was $500. I contacted the owner and long story, short, he refused to pay. Because of this, I had to take Budget Hauling, LLC to small claims court. Under oath at the small claims court of Placer County, the owner David Weider stated he was at my home and personally was involved in my move. This is not true because I talked to David on the phone about the damages as his two employees, who did the move, stood next to me. David also produced in court a signed contract of services that I had never seen nor signed. In fact, my signature had been forged. Lastly, David testified under oath I refused an insurance payment. The fact is I was never offered an insurance payment, I was only offered $50.00 from David's wife. Trust me, I would have gladly taken the insurance payment to be done with the issue. Needless to say, I won the case in Placer County court. Unfortunately, David has yet to pay said court ordered damages. Of course, this now forces me into other means of collecting. I cannot express enough the problems you will incur should you hire Budget Hauling, LLC and strongly recommend you run as far away as you can from ever hiring them. I wish I had! read more

I choose Budget Hauling because they were the only company that quickly provided an in-home video consultation and clearly explained the whole moving process. They created a personalized quote for me based on the facetime call and recommended what would be needed. I decided to go with their recommendation and get 4 movers instead of the 2 I thought I needed. I strongly recommend you get 4 movers because it speeds the whole moving process and you're probably underestimating the amount of time your move will take, like I did. These four guys: David, Eric, Joe and Larry did a phenomenal job and worked like a well-oiled machine! This crew not only worked hard but they were all professional and you can see they take pride in what they do! Adding my review back because I was asked to take it down in order for them to do our move. Please look at other recent reviews because there is clearly a pattern with David. Apparently we have been difficult to work with; although we are the same people from 5 months ago. We were able to get everything scheduled but only after my initial one star review, That got their attention. Fast forward to the day of the move. We were expecting them at 7AM per our appointment reminder. At 7:30 I texted David that we had not heard from one anyone. To then he replied they had us on the schedule at 8. I responded with "estimated time of arrival 7am does not mean 8am to any reasonable person. He then called and that's where it all went to hell with the way he spoke to me and my husband. He basically tried to gaslight us and placed the blame on us. He held the one star review over our heads and wanted it removed; then said it wouldn't be reasonable for a company to do a move for someone who gave them a one star review. We got off that phone call agreeing that I would remove my review (because it's Saturday morning and we were DESPERATE) and he would send the crew. Because he apparently had them on hold. I quickly started looking for a new company and did not care the cost. Got lucky and found new movers. I texted David at 8:02 to cancel our move, since he was literally dangling their services in front of us and I tried calling but goes straight to voicemail . And around 8:30 I get a call from their office that their movers can't find the place. Really just shows the disconnect in communication they have in the office now. This whole process they continued to blame the holiday Juneteenth as to why I wasn't getting a response. David also stated we were LUCKY they could even fit us in. Meanwhile when I had booked with Kaila she said Saturday was completely open and she was the one who actually suggested our start time be 7AM so the guys won't work In the heat too much. David also texted he went through phone logs and vm and none had my number or anything. Basically trying to act like I never reached out multiple times. Yet Kaila called me back from the one of vm I had left. Overall unprofessional, lack of accountability and just not a great experience. Kaila did mention that Alyssa is out on maternity leave. Alyssa is who coordinated our first move with them. She was amazing and everything was great back then (5 months ago) so just be cautious if you choose to use their services now. I will say, if this is a woman owned family business, it's very unfortunate and David is going to run this company to the ground with his lack of professionalism. I don't know what's going on with this company. I just used their services 5 months ago and wrote a raving review. Now I can't even get a response or call back from them. I hired Budget Hauling LLC to load a POD several months ago and several pieces of furniture were damaged as a result of how they packed the items as well as failing to wrap them. I am disappointed and will not longer use them or Hire a Helper. The POD was large and they stacked everything high up on one end with about 40% of the space unused. This poor distribution of items in the space and the fact they did not wrap all the items were the main reason for the damage. They should have spread things out evenly and at the same level so there was not chance for shifting in transport. When I opened my POD I saw the bulk of the items had lurched during transport. Smaller boxes had fallen from where they were perched. Luckily I packed those and contents were fine. A new West Elm bed frame was used behind a bike and clothing rack to brace the load and not wrapped at all. The top of the headboard and sides were directly on the floor of the POD. The pressure on the wood literally sanded down the edges. - A pair of beautiful Antique end tables had been in pristine condition The table that had been on the bottom had too much weight on it. The legs had brass with wheels at the base. Two were bent and two just cracked completely from the pressure, forever ruining the set. I contacted David Weider at Budget Hauling LLC. He insisted I was at fault, as I did not provide moving pads, which I did. On that note they did bring plastic and wrap many of the pieces with this or moving pads but not consistently. I know that they didn't use all the pads because when they were finishing up there were a pair of counter stools and I made them wrap those because I happened to catch it. David also tried to put the blame on PODS responsible for transport or the guys I hired to unload the POD. I explained that I saw the damage prior to the POD being unloaded but he did not listen. I paid for 3 hours and the guys completed the packing in about half the time. I wish they had taken their time instead of rushing thru and allowing my items to get damaged. The two movers who helped me were Eric and Joe, and both did a great job. They were on time (early, in fact), efficient, friendly, and didn't bat an eye when I grossly underestimated the time required to move all our stuff. It's also worth noting we have a lot of heavy and bulky items that are a bit fragile/easily scratched, and the only thing I could find was a minor scuff mark on one item that buffed out completely...no harm no foul. I've moved 4 times in the last 8 years and I've literally never had all my items arrive in one piece, let alone without major scratches/chips. There's always something broken or heavily damaged, but not this time. Every last item was completely intact and undamaged for which I'm so grateful. The friendly staff were incredibly quick to respond when I first inquired about their service, their pricing was all predictable and clearly explained, and the entire operation seems to be well run without charging an absurd hourly rate. Moving is stressful as hell, but the team I worked with really took a big weight off our shoulders. I would absolutely recommend them. read more

The mover didn't tell me that it needs to go back and forth twice, but after working for three hours, but the first location has not been moved yet, one mover apologized to me and said, "I'm sorry it took a long time, I'm just too tired". And at the end, I was told that many things could not be moved, but what should I do at that time? 5. Everything that needs to be wrapped is not wrapped. 6. I planned to pay a tip, but I was so disappointed that I didn't. 7. The second location is only one story house, please tell the truth. 8, This is the first time I rate on yelp, usually I don't. It's just that I don't agree with your evaluation. After all, you were not at the scene, and you didn't witness it with your own eyes. You just listened to other people's words. 9. We needed five heavy items moved: piano, washer/dryer, stone/glass outdoor table and an exercise machine. Not an easy move by any means, but I was getting some estimates from other companies on Yelp for like $1,350, 4 movers, 4-6 hours... not Budget Hauling! They took care of our move carefully and efficiently in under 2 hours with just 2 movers. Grand total was $588, less than half the first estimate I got. I was able to book the move the week of, and they squeezed me in that Saturday with no extra charges for the piano or it being the weekend or anything like that. I recently had budget hauling and moving, move my storage unit from California to Alabama. It was a cross country move that I was very concerned about. I had them originally move my things for my home in Sacramento to a storage until I could get them moved to Alabama. The team was professional friendly and helpful. It took several months for me to get ready to have them move us. Just our stuff as we had finally found a house and needed everything moved. We hired the truck and two movers one of which Jacob, I knew from the original move. The other mover, I later found out was named Mark. They told me the move would take about 5 days and when they would approximately be there. They said they would call about an hour before they got there. True to their word they did call. To say these two movers we're professional would be an understatement. These two movers were courteous, kind professional, friendly and fun. They worked hard and were fast but not reckless. They did everything I needed and it was really nice to see Jacob again. Mark kept calling me sir which I found funny but he was also very kind and professional. I couldn't help myself but keep joking around with Jacob. Mark complimented me on my house and the property I have and they made everything perfect! They put everything where I asked and there were no complaints and there were no issues. Nothing was broken, nothing was mishandled and they did everything I asked without complaint. I was actually kind of disappointed when they were done because I enjoyed having them around so much. If you're moving across country there are several things you need to know about this company. First, they're true to their word. Second, the movers are professional friendly and helpful. Third, the movers are intelligent and hard workers. They will work hard to do the work for you but are not above stopping to talk to you and take a tour of the home with you if you'd like as I did show them our house which we are very proud of as it is over 100 years old. This was a long journey but I wouldn't trust it to any other company as I had been ripped off by a few other companies I'd ask to move me. If I ever have to move again I would seriously consider having them come out and move me rather than find someone else. And that is saying a lot. well it started off weird the guys were approachable ,the called me 15 min before showing upwell they were parked at the wrong address .i waited for they at the gate then decided just go back up stairs , they would let me know when they were ready. the move finally started around 8;09am their pace was okayt one seemed to move slower than the other, they had things packed up and ready around 9;50am after sitting for about 10 min we took off .the truck made a stop at 7-11 and finally arrived at the storage place. this is the reason for my shitty rating in no way did it reflect upton the two workers they were great. Ifeel they drugg their feet one even stated he didn't feel good took 20 min to lower their ramp on this subpar equipment. They dumped a container upside down causing the contents to fall out..but that's was manageable compared to the lies Kayla told will never use this company again and I have decided to file a complaint with the bbb.never received the so called contract. read more
