This was a long search. When I tried to search a shipper for our vehicle on the web I got bombarded with a lot of prices and offers. Just make sure the shipper is registered with federal authorities. My wife and I had a great experience with ShipCar24! This was our first time shipping a car and our move was fairly sudden, so we only had a 2-3 day window to plan. I was a little nervous about shipping our car and worried that I would pick the wrong company. ShipCar24 was a tad more expensive than the other quotes that I received, but they allowed us to ship up to 100 pounds of (hidden) cargo in our car, which was significantly more than any of the other companies that we reached out to. This ended up saving us considerable time, energy, and money with our move. More importantly, the customer service was top notch. Olga was our primary point of contact, and she was incredibly responsive via phone and text. As I mentioned above, our window to ship was really tight, as I was only in town for a few days, but Olga worked her magic and facilitated a pick-up despite very poor weather conditions the week that we needed our car shipped. Olga linked us with our driver, who was also very good about communicating. We are in San Francisco and met our driver, David, in an easy-to-access, well-lit area near the freeway (our neighborhood could not support a huge carrier truck, nor can most neighborhoods in SF!). The process was surprisingly easy and our car made it from SF to CT in about five days. One minor quibble: we didn't feel comfortable paying in full up-front (which ShipCar24 was completely fine with), so we paid on delivery. I was given a quote to ship a car, but as soon as something more lucrative opened up for the company, they reneged on their quote. In their words: "Thank you for getting back to me, however, I checked the rates again and unfortunately I won't be able to ship the vehicle within next 7 days for $690.00. I just checked s national load board and the lowest rate I can offer is $890.00. I apologize, but the market rates went up in last two days due to high paying Tesla loads that they started shipping CA to AZ." So, I had a quote from April 3rd, valid for "3 Days" (no specifics about time), and then claimed it was no longer valid and that it would cost $200 more.
