My boyfriend has the IHG credit card and because of that is a Platinum member, and we used his points to book a standard King room. I believe they upgraded us to a King room with a small kitcheonette and sitting space. Bed was very comfortable. The hotel is right next to the highway and you could hear cars, but it was more of a white noise. IHG has apparently been working on upgrading its hotels, and you can tell - the room had a Keurig and a few other amenities. The Dove body wash and toiletries were also really nice. I was most impressed by the hotel breakfast today - variety of hot items like sausage and room temp items like cereal etc. They had a make your own pancakes machine too, and a fridge full of yogurt, mini water bottles, milk and chocolate milk, etc. They also had to-go boxes, which I've never seen before at a hotel breakfast, presumably if you wanted to eat in your room or take it on the road with you. Only negative things I can say was that the bathtub was small (I prefer baths to showers) and you can definitely hear the highway noises at night, but it wasn't super loud.

We stayed for two nights and the maid came in and cleaned up and restocked our towels and made our beds in between which is amazing most places do it every two days! It was nice to have a made bed again!! The free hot breakfast was delicious and the hotel has pleanty of parking and is near tons of shopping and fast food and a Wal Mart. I loved my stay here and I will definitely be back next time I am in Wapakoneta.

The reception area was clean and the staff very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in the King suite with balcony overlooking their pool. The room was clean and bed very comfortable. They give you the basic toiletries. Hot shower and giant TV that can be swiveled. The pool closes at 10 so it's quiet after it closes. We used the pool and were the only ones in it. No restaurant or lounge but there are local restaurants nearby. It appears this is a family owed and run hotel. We would stay again.

If you want city luxuries book a place with city luxuries. Saw the review about the water. Almost any place in the country in Ohio will have water with sulfur and iron. At the buck or so for gallon jugs of water at Kroger et al, a simple solution is obvious. No you won't stink after showering. It's hard water, so you will have use more soap and shampoo. Use the jugs for drinking, coffee, and our dogs. There are grocery stores nearby, but if you need special dietary items bring them with you. Small town groceries will not have the selection of the giant supermarkets. Off and on have been coming here about 12 years. Probably will another 12.

We were a little bit unsure about staying at a little private hotel...not sure what to expect from a non-name brand place...especially concerned about cleanliness. Even though it was Christmas Day, the staff was flexible with our check in time and very accommodating. This is an older hotel with individual doors that open to a breezeway, no interior hallways or common lobby. Our room was VERY clean, though, which made me very happy. Actually probably one of the cleanest hotels we have ever stayed in. No dirt even in the corners of the bathroom. Furniture was in good condition, and the bed was comfortable. It was quiet at night, but not sure if that is typical, as we were the only guests and the restaurant/drive thru was closed for the season. Things we loved: Pleasant and helpful staff, very clean and spacious room, comfortable bed. Quiet heating system (not a typical noisy unit like most hotels). There were microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker available in our room Little things that we loved not so much...couldn't adjust our individual room temperature....although we could request that the office adjust it. The shower pressure was adequate, but could be better and the tub drain was a little slow. The door locked with key with only a doorknob lock (which was kind of loose) and a chain, no deadbolt....although this was not a big city where we felt particularly unsafe. My guess is that locks are not generally needed in this community. Credit cards accepted, but have an up charge. We would, without hesitation, stay here again.

I was being recruited for a position in a company in the area and I was interviewing/checking out the company/checking out the area. I stayed in a room with a king sized bed. I ultimately took the job. I had to immediately book the hotel again. I therefore stayed here again from Jan 10 2020 for over a month while waiting to first get possession of the home I bought and during the time my floors were getting redone. Stayed in a suite, with two queen beds and a living rook that had a fold out sofa bed. Hard living with two other people in such a small enclosed space. The hotel does offer suites with kitchen, alas they are few and hard to come by. I spent the time in one without one and had to eat out all the time. My stats were pleasant, considering all the above. The hotel breakfast room is large and comfortable. The hotel has an indoor heated pool which is a big plus! The staff also is the friendliest hotel staff I have ever dealt with. I would talk to them all the time. We would ask how we were all doing, where we were in our move. These are genuinely warm people and the best part of staying at this hotel. There are some weaknesses. The breakfast is unappetizing, and I usually avoided it.. even though it was included in my stay. It didn't taste bad... just didn't have taste... it was bland. The coffee is weak. The suites can also definitely be a little larger and they need updating. Some of the furniture seems to have seen much better days. Still, I did enjoy my stay here and was thankful that I was able to find a hotel for such a long stay in such short notice.

While I'm absolutely positive the reason for this horrendous room will inevitably be blamed on Covid, it strikes me as odd that I should be charged full price for their lack of staff or care. If you can, roll on to the next town for a place to sleep.
