The site was a gravel base which was nice but, the electric outlet was way in the back and the water spicket was way in the front, on the wrong side. I've never seen a site set up like that before. It was very tricky getting the RV in just the right spot so that electric cord would reach, but I couldn't get the hose to reach so I ended up borrowing a hose extension.

The staff is wonderful, very helpful and friendly and will go out of their way to help you. They ARE very pet friendly, (we have two cats and a dog) you just have to clean up after your pets and keep them on a leash. The bathrooms are clean and air-conditioned. The grounds are very well maintained and they have pump out service for a small fee (if you get a site that doesn't have septic) and RV service and repair. They installed our new air conditioner and did a fantastic job. They also have fun events here. We will be staying here every time we come to Ohio. Don't be fooled by a poor review. This park is awesome. You should definitely check it out.

So happy we stumbled upon this little campground. Out of all the campgrounds we visited this summer (including Jellystone in Mt. Gilead), this was the kids favorite. I felt safe letting them ride their bikes and play at the playground. It is close to anything you'd need and about a 25 minute drive to Old Man's Cave. We also had a small issue (which turned into a non-issue) in the beginning with someone else plugged into our 30 amp and the lady at the office couldn't have been nicer and took care of everything right away. We camp here with our Toyhauler a couple times a year, during the camping season. We have friends…read morethat have a Seasonal site here, which is why we come out here. The campground is very well maintained. The campground is situated around a decent sized, rectangular shaped clean lake, with open fields around the campground, and Highway (Route 6), runs next to it, at the North end of the campground. The campground caters to the seasonal campers here, but it does have limited sites open to weekenders. The seasonal campers that I've met have been really nice. It's usually quite here, a great place to take kids to, as they can't really get into trouble, or go to far away. The lake is clean, with a little beach, 2 floating decks for the kids to play on. They also rent paddle boats and life jackets too. They have a small play area for the kids to have fun in. The showers are clean, they have a small general store/office that usually has what you may need. If not, Wal-mart is only about 1.5 miles away, as are other stores and restaurants. I suggest that you call and make reservations though, because they do fill up on weekends with different events going on in the area. And like I said, they don't have many open spots for weekend campers here, First come~First served.
