This place is gross, the carpet had stains and dirt everywhere, there was poop in the toilet, trash on floor, the trash was still in the trash can. Checked in late for our reservation but no worries as the front desk is open 24 hours. I had needed two beds but only I bed was avail when I made the reservations. We were upgraded to two queens for just a few dollars that was nice. We stayed three nights and were very happy with the room. It was clean and simple and everything worked. The folks that managed the property were professional and friendly. The maintenance man kept the place nice and clean. We will be back in a couple weeks as we are doing business in the area and the The Budget Inn is the place to stay. read more

My mother had booked, and paid for, a room for me and my wife two weeks before our visit. When we arrived to check in the guy behind the filthy plexiglass said that he had the reservation, but that it hadn't been paid for. I knew he was lying, but I had to piss like crazy, so I gave him my card. He gave me a key and said it was around the back and upstairs. Drove around the back, past the homeless camp and hustled my bursting bladder up the stairs. But I wasn't moving so fast that I didn't notice the stairs were covered with dirt, garbage and cigarette butts. I also noticed that the first door I passed at the top of the stairs had "BEWARE" spray painted where the room number was supposed to be. I was also acutely aware of a foul odor that was getting stronger as I got closer to our room. Upon opening the door it was immediately obvious that the stink was emanating from our room. I was brutally punched in the face with a stench that I can only describe as a sack of rotten onions that had spent a week farting on fish guts and sweaty balls. Through the haze of the stench it was apparent that the room was either currently occupied or had not been cleaned since the last occupants left those farty onions and balls. I snapped a quick photo and ran back downstairs. In the minute that this had taken place a car had parked right next to my truck and was occupied by four people who were all simultaneously preparing their syringes to shoot up. I drove back to the office, walked in and matter-of-factly stated, "I want my money back, now." The dude didn't even ask me why. Took my card and handed me a receipt. Today I noticed that he never rescinded the charges. I called them and the person on the phone kept interrupting me to scream, "NO REFUND!" What a roach motel. 1 star is the minimum or it would get a 0 star. Needed a room during a road trip (9/24) and most other places where sold out so we booked here. Showed up after 11 pm after calling ahead. Lady on the phone was nice so I guess that's the star! Check in and they tell me they forgot to tell me that the room was a smoking room. They hesitantly showed me the room and let me smell it. Smelled like smoke but I needed a room. They guy gave me a candle to help mask the odor. I get my bag and go to the room and open the bathroom door and literally hundreds of roaches and little bugs in the shower and on the shower curtain. I was tired so I considered just locking them in the bathroom and trying to sleep a few hours. Then I inspected the rest of the room. Pulled off the comforter and the blanket had nasty stains everywhere. More bugs hiding in the dark. A bug ran off the comforter. Open the microwave and no kidding - a roach inside the microwave. He got zapped. Grabbed my bags and ring the bell at the office and told them there was no way in hell I'm staying in that room. They didn't hesitate or even appear surprised. They wanted $90 for this bug infested room. To their credit,They simply voided my transaction and I was happy to pay $180 across the street at the comfort inn and suites for 7 hrs of sleep. It is sad that these days we have to consider $100 inexpensive for a motel but in that thought process you get what you pay for, and in this case INDEED. I was in need and made the decision to bite the bullet. Clean enough room, but needs a serious walk through to check for hazards. The front office needs a good scrub. Coats of paint can't hide everything. After reading all the reviews I did not sleep vrry heavy and kept checking for bugs. There was a spider but thats one I will keep. The vanity light struggled to stay on and every time I bumped the counter it flickered. The bed made horrible noises when I moved. I didnt use the shower and I didnt use the fridge. read more

This hotel is gross. The door doesn't lock unless you slam it. The floors are so dirty. My pillow case was dirty or stained when I got here. Looked like mascara stains. There are 2 mirrors in the room & one of them did NOT pass the 2 way mirror test. I tried to plug in my phone charger & the outlet sparked. The walls in the bathroom walls have a yellow drip stain running g all alone them & the shower is also gross. The bed screeched & made loud sounds w every single movement i made. Where to even start. The room was dirty, carpet not vacuumed and I stepped on a thorn, dirty walls and doors, mold growing around tub, collected urine on the back of the toilet, stained old sheets. The smell in the room was not pleasant. I decided I could deal with the uncleanliness, not going to complain. What put me over the edge was the cockroach that decided to drop in on me (literally) while I was showering. At the point I cut my stay short. The front desk refused to give me my money back. I told him you have bugs and the room is dirty, his reply was we don't have bugs. I asked him to come back to the room with me to show him the cockroach which I trapped under a wash cloth just in case they told me I was wrong. I showed him the bug, he said not a bug! Reading the reviews I'm so glad we didn't experience that! I actually thought it was a nice little room at a good price. I think that maybe they are trying to clean up they're act. Nothing to look at for sure on the outside but I looked the room over before we checked in and was pleasantly surprised. Not loud that night either. TV nice, bed nice. No-frills motel, but at the price (~$49)...who cares?! Stayed here Sept. 2017, and the room was clean, water pressure/heat in the shower was excellent, and I felt safe. Right in the middle of town, just off the highway. Only downside is no coffee makers in-room...you have to go to the lobby to get coffee in the morning. If they're out, there is a McDonald's next door with cheap coffee. I would definitely stay here again, if the price was the same. read more

Location is ideal and quick access to the main street. HOWEVER checked in for 3 nights first night here and the DEA does a raid on the room right next door. WTH!!! So I called in the morning to check out and told the woman we didn't want to stay here anymore. We we wanted a refund for at least 2 days... This is a great cheap motel. Clean room. TV. Shower works fine. The bed was a little firm for my liking, but that's most hotels. They were out of regular non-smoking rooms by the time I checked in at 2am so the manager was kind enough to allow me to stay in the handicapped accessible room due to my extreme allergies. (Thank you!!!) It worked out well because an old injury is acting up and it was way easier to get my bags in than trying to get to one of the upstairs rooms. I felt bad coming in so late because I think I woke her up. (Sorry.) I've read other reviews and the office kind of smells like incense and the room smelled fine, a little stale but that's easily fixed by running the AC. It doesn't stink. read more

It's the budget of budget hotels. After getting out of Burning Man on Saturday night. I was getting very tired and sleepy. I needed to find a place for the night, and unlike experienced burners, I didn't plan this ahead. Motel 6's, Comfort Inn, Holiday Inn--all booked. I called this place and they had occupancy. Yay! I paid $53 (that's including tax) for a one night stay. Not bad considering I just wanted a place to sleep for the night. The room had a queen size bed, table, a couple of chairs, a mini-fridge, and microwave. Bathroom had one sink and a shower. Bathroom had soap but no shampoo or conditioner. Everything was clean. This still wouldn't be my first choice if I was in this situation again but for a last resort, it was just fine. read more

I had my 2 daughters in the car who were about to get picked up by their dad coming from Burning Man. She assumed I was trying to only pay for 1 and get 2 in under the radar. Online the price said $50 a night, I get there and it's $100 a night because its Saturday. So we paid it, and wished we hadn't. The bathroom looked like it was not cleaned from the last guests, there was hair, urine, and dust on the back of the toilet, a diabetic test strip on the floor, and the towels looked like they had been pulled out of a box from the dollar store, at least they seemed crispy and new. The fridge was being defrosted so it was leaking all over the floor. This room was worth $50 NOT $100. If you guys are going to book a room at this hotel, DO NOT BOOK IT HERE. You may be on a budget cut, but do not do it. You have to pay five dollars for an extra person. For example, I booked a two bed hotel here, and they did not say I had to pay an extra five dollars for my daughter. There were cockroaches crawling all over the walls and tables. I asked for a nonsmoking room which we didn't get. There were cigarette burns all over the place. My dog saw a cockroach crawling by her food and she even looked like wtf. I shouldn't of had to pay $75 for a room that I was scared to sleep on the bed or take a shower. AVOID, AVOID AVOID THIS DUMP! First off the room stunk like it had just been fumigated and within minutes I had a nasty headache #132. I opened up the windows, the door and turned on the ac to try and de-stink it to no avail. The carpets were dirty and there were dead bugs on the floor (moths?) It didn't help the person two doors down was smoking skunk weed and it was wafting up and into my room. I went back to the office and the innkeeper took me to the room next door to mine which still had a chemical stench, but not as bad ,but still smelled nasty . By this time my throat was feeling the effects of what ever that smell was(maybe meth lab?) as well as my head. I asked him about the fellow getting stoned two doors down and he laughed at me and said he had no control over that situation . Really ? So due to the smell and drug activity I told him I could not stay there and wanted my room fee back . Mind you this is a half hour later. He stated since I sat in the room ,I had used it, so therefor no refund ! I was beside myself . After we argued he offered me 1/2 of my room fee back and by this time I just wanted out. This innkeeper from India (yes I am staying nice ) needs a reality check for ripping people off who are misinformed by the pictures on the internet .BEWARE this place is a nasty stinky sess pool with an owner or manager who will rip you off . This place is a great find. One block off the main drag, so it's quieter than the rest, but cheap. $42 plus tax is $45 (since Fallon is a small town and doesn't have a 20% occupancy tax like the big cities do). Clean, comfortable rooms. 80s decor, but nothing shabby or broken. Mini-fridge, microwave in room. Old TV. The clock in my room was set wrong. The lock on the door was a single deadbolt, they didn't have a chain. It is a motel, meaning that your door opens right to the outside where your car is parked. Ask for the building in the back, it's quieter. Breakfast is coffee (with only powdered creamer available) and wrapped pastries at the front desk. Pets allowed for $10 extra. Walking distance from Pizza Barn, a great local hangout, and Jerry's, a great place for breakfast. There's a Best Western and a Holiday Inn Express in Fallon and I'm sure they cost $100 a night. If you're just passing through and and aren't looking for anything fancy, hit the Budget Inn. The name says it all. read more
