After explaining what I was calling for, being cold transferred to wait 10 minutes on hold to speak to someone in a different department, I was erroneously instructed I could go to any Avis location for the repair. Upon arrival at the Grove St. Worcester location, Jason was very understanding of the situation. Even though he does not service the Uber segment of Avis at his location, he still took the time out to make multiple phone calls to help resolve my issue. Upon learning there are no local service areas and no alternate cars available, he even went above and beyond and asked the Regional Manager if I could be serviced at his local shop and billed directly to Avis, which she accommodated. As rideshare is my only source of income, I cannot express how grateful I am for Jason's determination in helping me when he could have easily sent me on my way. After experiencing less than stellar customer service even through Avis's National Customer Service Call Center, Jason made my day and saved me from being stressed out. Thank you so very much.

Also, pretty sure the stain/debris on the drivers side door is caked on vomit. Their customer service is useless, you can never talk to the location you are dealing with and if you run into any issues you have to go to that location. They also told me that bc I didn't share the insurance information when I rented the car, I couldn't have my agency billed. When I went to the location they said they don't bill insurance directly.

I had reserved an economy and they put me in a full-size SUV, a Chevy Tahoe. And sure, you might be worried about gas so they told me that I could return it empty. Awesome. The inside of the car was clean but the outside was covered in road salt. I checked for damage, they checked for damage but it turns out that there was a very small ding in one fender. A ding that you would never see unless you look at it at the correct angle and wash off the salt. I'll save that for later if Enterprise does actually come for me for the damage.

I have worked in customer service for 10 years and this is atrocious. I reserved my rental for a long trip from Massachusetts to Pennsylvania and the rental agency called me the night before I had to pick up the car. They asked if I would be paying with a debit card or credit card. I said debit and they required me to show 2 of the 3: my insurance policy, a utility bill with my name on it, and a current paystub. Well apparently my only utility bill with my wifes name on it doesn't qualify and I am currently unemployed so I have no paystub. I then offered my credit card. However it's in my wifes name and they wouldn't take that either. With a half hour before they close and the night before an important trip I am sweating with anxiety! They offered to change the rental to my wifes name after I inquired about it. Not even something they suggested. So we decided to use her credit card. Which they then told me there was a $200 security deposit. Now I had to quickly make sure that wasn't going to put us over our credit limit. Luckily it didn't. However all of these things should've been communicated to me earlier! Not the night before my trip!! Worst service ever!

He lacks basic customer service skills and does not handle situations with any level of composure or respect. The overall experience was frustrating from start to finish. Communication was poor, and it was evident that proper procedures were not being followed. Most concerning, the vehicles are not thoroughly inspected, which raises serious safety concerns. The phone was rarely answered, and when it was, I was given contradictory information almost every single time I called. At pickup, a staff member who was training a new employee was extremely condescending and rude to him. It was uncomfortable to witness, and no employee deserves to be treated that way in front of customers. I was also given the wrong receipt at pickup. When I called this location to get the correct one, I was told they couldn't email or reprint it. I then called another location, and they emailed it to me immediately without any issue. When I needed to extend my rental, I called and was told by a staff member to "call back because he doesn't have time right now." When I called back, the same employee told me he couldn't process the extension and directed me to another number. When I called that number, I was told that the original rental location had to handle the extension. I called back and relayed this information, and suddenly the same employee was able to help. It was clear he simply did not want to deal with it initially. Another major issue was the store hours. Both the Hertz website and Google listed this location as open on Saturday, but when I arrived, no one was there. I even called another location to confirm, and they said the store should have been open. If the posted hours were incorrect or the store had to close unexpectedly, there should have been a note on the door instead of making customers waste time driving there and waiting. Getting my final drop off receipt was another unnecessarily frustrating process. I was told it had already been emailed when the rental was closed, but when I asked what email address it was sent to, no one could answer. I was then told they would email it, they didn't. The next day I called again and was told it would be sent by the end of the day, again, it wasn't. On another call, I was told they "didn't have time." Each time, I explained that I needed the receipt for insurance reimbursement. Eventually, I called corporate and had the receipt emailed to me while still on the phone, the entire process took less than five minutes. If staff genuinely don't have time to assist customers, they should direct them to someone who can. Customers should not have to repeatedly call for basic assistance. The lack of professionalism was also obvious during phone calls. More than once, I was told to "hold" without actually being placed on hold, which meant I could hear everything being said in the office. On one call, I heard a staff member say to another employee, "I don't have time to deal with this" in reference to my call. That is completely unacceptable customer service. This location seriously needs better communication, better customer service training, and significantly more professionalism.
