The salesman Devin said they closed at 5pm but seeing as I would not arrive until closer to 6pm that he was more than happy to wait for me. I arrived exactly at 6pm, he was there with a smile on his face and got me into a rental vehicle within 5 minutes. Thank you Devin for making what could have been a lousy night, pretty good. I have rented vehicles from this location twice before and have always been happy. This was my first rental with Devin. The next day I returned and his manager was there, she was aware that he waited for me and she was happy to help and thanked me. It took 5 minutes to return the vehicle and off i went.

She called them (this office) and they said "No reservation and no SUVs". This is a very sad comment on the hertz national desk, I am assuming. In the future, I'll call the local office where I want to pick up the car, only. Been dealing with hertz for decades. First time they've screwed up anything like this; very disappointing. One hypothesis is that local hertz-es are franchised, or something; regardless they are not connected to a single national computer in anything real time. Called them to complain.
