After sitting across the lot in a rental car listening to me plead with employees for help over the reservation they never held, followed by the 6 seat vehicle I wa a given and told it was a 7 seater, followed by unloading that car into a new car and being told "oh wait you can't take that car"". Been sitting in the garage for 2 hours now. Dane May, the manager walks up, rolls his eyes and looks at me as if his world just ended because he had to do something at his job. After being asked about a discount due to the litany of inconveniences, I was told that's a "customer service problem, not mine" and to "fuck off". In short if you'd not only enjoy a terrible experience, but a manager with a mullet and a state trooper mustaches telling you to fuck off when asked for help, I'd advise against AVIS.. Dane May in particular, dollar store Benson Boone looking guy. What kind of manager tells customers who have been inconvenienced several times over 2 hours to "fuck off"?

This would get us into the airport after 12pm when the counter closes. Spoke to Beth at the counter over the phone and she was amazing to work with. She calmly took note of our flight details and gave us clear directions for when we arrive. We kept in touch three more times and was appreciative for the communication between the both of us. Not once was she annoyed or dismissive. She was pleasant, professional, and welcoming upon arrival. Returning the car was a bit confusing, we parked in our spot and was looking for the Hertz rep. Didn't get her name but she was annoyed me didn't speak to her first before parking. Overall, I would absolutely rent from Hertz at Knoxville Airport again.

We waited in line for a few minutes while another customer was being helped. We were called up, made small chat with the customer rep that assisted us, he was pretty nice and helpful. He gave us directions on how to find the car in the lot and I told us exactly what to do to return it. He was amazing, great customer service. Had no issues with the rental while we had it. We returned it today without any issues, it literally took 5 minutes to return and check it in. The staff located in the parking lot were very helpful and guided us to where to go to park it. We were very pleased with the car and service, and will most definitely use this company again in the future.

I knew from my last visit that I was going to be taken care of when it came to getting my rental. Once again, I am very happy to be an Emerald member. I was greeted with a smile and when I told the representative that I was there in January, I got a bigger smile and a 'welcome back'. This time I was given a while Chrysler 300 - then my smile got big. The cars at this location are very well maintained and clean!! A big PLUS!! The pickup process is smooth and they try their best to make everyone RIDES away with a smile. The drop off process is a breeze, you pull up, park, get your receipt and get a 'have a safe trip'. I am very glad to visit here again and I hope to see you all soon!!

I have been renting at this location for over 6 years. They have been getting better and better…read moreover time. They just performed a major upgrade to their service. They seem to have more vehicles to choose from and as always the staff is top notch. I also rent from National all over the US. My only major complaint with National over all is the little things that keep happening with my rentals. Examples: no washer fluid (several times), fuel not full, charged for fuel when tank was returned full (several times), very long wait time for shuttle buses (Sacramento CA is the worst), expired tags on vehicles. For this location, I wish they just had the Executive Selection. Even if they don't, I should be able to upgrade from full size to SUV without being charged extra as an Executive member. I also like the reward program. I can rent any class of vehicle with my reward points.

The location is a little tight in one section of the garage, but that allows it to be right across from the terminal, not a tram ride away. The kiosk is sort of plunked down in an odd area but they make it all work. Did not get pressured for upsells, told any doom and gloom stories about using my own insurance. Did not get put into a significantly larger SUV than I ordered ( which has happened), which would have been most undesirable on some of the zero shoulder mountain roads.

It was also pretty easy at this location as TYS was a small regional airport with the cars on site. However, be sure need to check the paperwork and receipt afterwards for any inaccuracies. They had entered an incorrect check out time by an hour which incurred an extra charge. Otherwise the vehicle, a Toyota Camry hybrid, that I was rented to me was fantastic as it was very fuel efficient.

Complete fraud and placed an additional 600.00 charge on my credit card after I refueled the card and the agent scanned the vehicle and told me to leave the keys in the vehicle which I did... Complete fraud... Consumer has to do the work and investigation of their issues.
