    This was a show tonight. On a Friday night ONE person was running Avis & Budget and I'm not sure if him Chad , the computers or both came from the DMV. SAF I WAS the next person in line, but my Avis app said " proceed to Avis preferred and we will get you on your way" so I stepped over to the preferred side and stood there. Chad looked up and asked "are you waiting for Avis?" ‍ "I'm standing here yes I am" He then informed me that the line I came from now with 5 other people there was where I needed to be. that is not ok!! He's sitting at the budget counter. This was extremely poor service and wait time. An hour for 5 ppl.

    Must be nice to leave work whenever you want.

    Currently sitting in the Knoxville, TN airport completely stranded by Avis. My Avis confirmation was for an 11:30pm pick up with my flight info attached. I was at the counter before 11:30pm with no one in sight. Went out to the garage where another customer was also stranded. Call center couldn't help (Angelica was pleasant enough but very unhelpful.) Their advice was to come back in the morning to get the car. So I'm just supposed to sit in the airport until the morning? My hotel is 1.5 hours away. No uber willing to bring me. Shame on you Avis! Unable to rent from the other car rental businesses that were still open, as they couldn't accept walk ups at this time. For anyone looking to rent a car at the TSY Airport (Knoxville) the places that were still open and they all confirmed they stay open until the last flights gets their baggage: Alamo, National, & Hertz A final note: **Tyler from Alamo was extremely kind!**

    Car interior was filthy when we got it - see pictures. And we noticed just as we got on the road that it didn't have a full tank of gas. Staff was friendly. Car drive fine and didn't leave us stranded.

I was greeted with a smile and when I told the representative that I was there in January, I got a bigger smile and a 'welcome back'. This time I was given a while Chrysler 300 - then my smile got big. The cars at this location are very well maintained and clean!! A big PLUS!! The pickup process is smooth and they try their best to make everyone RIDES away with a smile. The drop off process is a breeze, you pull up, park, get your receipt and get a 'have a safe trip'. I am very glad to visit here again and I hope to see you all soon!!

    I have been renting at this location for over 6 years. They have been getting better and better…read moreover time. They just performed a major upgrade to their service. They seem to have more vehicles to choose from and as always the staff is top notch. I also rent from National all over the US. My only major complaint with National over all is the little things that keep happening with my rentals. Examples: no washer fluid (several times), fuel not full, charged for fuel when tank was returned full (several times), very long wait time for shuttle buses (Sacramento CA is the worst), expired tags on vehicles. For this location, I wish they just had the Executive Selection. Even if they don't, I should be able to upgrade from full size to SUV without being charged extra as an Executive member. I also like the reward program. I can rent any class of vehicle with my reward points.

The location is a little tight in one section of the garage, but that allows it to be right across from the terminal, not a tram ride away. The kiosk is sort of plunked down in an odd area but they make it all work. Did not get pressured for upsells, told any doom and gloom stories about using my own insurance. Did not get put into a significantly larger SUV than I ordered ( which has happened), which would have been most undesirable on some of the zero shoulder mountain roads.

It was also pretty easy at this location as TYS was a small regional airport with the cars on site. However, be sure need to check the paperwork and receipt afterwards for any inaccuracies. They had entered an incorrect check out time by an hour which incurred an extra charge. Otherwise the vehicle, a Toyota Camry hybrid, that I was rented to me was fantastic as it was very fuel efficient.

It took 20 minutes in line to get my car at this location, yet almost every other car rental counter had manageable lines at the Knoxville airport. Then, the two employees walked away from the desk without explanation, leaving the counter empty as my turn was next! Once I got to the counter, I was served by the Avis representative, who asked if my reservation was with Budget or Avis. I said Budget, she looked up my reservation and told of a "Manager's Special" for upgrades. I said I was fine with my current reservation for an Economy car. She then said she only had electric cars available in Economy. I stated I was on my way to Chattanooga (2-hour plus drive) and had no idea where charging stations were in that city. She said I could upgrade for $15/day more to get a gasoline vehicle. (Bait and Switch tactic?!! Not sure.) Anyway, I took the upgrade for $15/day more. Once I got to my hotel in Chattanooga, I checked the Basic Rate charges against my reservation quote ($205.20). My new rate should have been at the most $265.20 for four days, but I was charged $287.96 (with additional taxes added onto that rate!!) I immediately called the 1-800 Customer Support line on this deception. The representative, Nelson, was amazing. I explained this situation, he looked up my quoted price, noticed my current billing stated specifically a $15/day upgrade for the Basic Rate and filed a claim on my behalf. He provided me with the Claim number and the email address to the Budget resolution office to get the refund due me. Note to self-do not trust the spoken word of the employee. I assumed a $15/day upgrade to my Basic Rate was just that (especially given the car I was reserved for was not available!!) I was asked to "agree" and "sign" on all the screens that popped up (given other customers were still in line like me for over 20 minutes). Next time (and definitely NOT with Budget!!), I will take my time and read every line and not "trust" the word of an employee who was giving me a "Manager's Special" deal of the day!

    **5 Stars - A Great Example of Customer-Centered Service**…read more I recently rented a Jeep Wrangler from Enterprise in Knoxville, and the experience reminded me why I continue to choose this company. I was running behind on my way to the airport and didn't have time to refill the gas tank--I'd used about a quarter of a tank and figured I'd take the hit rather than risk missing my flight. When I returned the car, I was greeted by a polite, college-aged representative who asked how everything went. I told him it had been great. He then kindly asked, "You didn't have a chance to refill the vehicle?" I explained I'd simply run out of time. Without hesitation, he replied, "Well, let me remove this charge for you. I'd hate to have your experience with us end on a negative." He took the initiative to waive the refueling fee (about \$27), and while the money was appreciated, what stood out even more was the attitude. I was genuinely impressed that Enterprise empowers their employees to make thoughtful, customer-friendly decisions like this. To that young man--thank you. And to Enterprise--bravo for running a company that leads with logic, care, and trust in your people. This small gesture went a long way in reaffirming my loyalty. I'll be back.

I had reserved a car, but hadn't paid for it, and I didn't have another credit card I could use. I had flown across the country and still needed to get to my aunt's memorial service, an hour away. The person at the counter calmly brainstormed solutions with me, but when nothing was working out, and tears were rising in my eyes, she ultimately offered to have someone drive me to another Enterprise office, just a mile away, at the airport, where I could use my DEBIT card to pay for the rental if I could show that I had a return flight. Then, the man who drove me there made pleasant conversation with me that helped change my mood. The man at the new office who helped me was also kind, helpful and quick, and I was FINALLY on my way. I have always had good experiences with Enterprise. This one was the top, though. I felt like everyone I met worked to help me get where I needed to be. Thank you to everyone!
