I called for an alignment. They said drop it off in the morning. We'll get it done. So I dropped it of @8am. I called @12pm n 3pm. They said it's still not inside yet. I stopped in at 5pm. Still wasn't done. So I took the car home. A few months later I bought 4 Michelin climate2 tires ($1300) from them. When I was due for a balance and rotation I dropped the car off. They said it'll be a couple hours. 2.5 hours later I called to check on it. They said it'll be another couple hours. I reminded the guy what happened when I was there for an alignment. His response was. We are 1 of 3 tire services on cedar st. I guess he was telling me if I didn't like it. There are other tire places down the street. I bought my tires there. The balance and rotation was part of the purchase. Very good customer service. I believe his name was either Bill or Brian. read more

Service is the key goal at Budget Tire Center on Cedar Street. The staff is incredibly friendly and efficent. Budget Tire Center stands by their work. Providing stellar Customer Service seems to be their mantra! Recently, I noticed on of my tires leaking approx. 5lbs of air every two weeks. I took the car into Budget Tire Center and within 20 minutes the car was back on the road. A staff member explained to me that they had discovered a small piece of metal in the tire. Came to my appointment as scheduled 5:30 they said I have to come next day .. show up next day again when supposed to on time !!!! then waited politely for an hour and confronted them they said I can leave if i want or have other place to go and take my business somewhere else's !!! They sold my fiancé 4 brand new tires with warranty. After 3 months, our wheel went flying off on the Ohio Turnpike on the way to Pennsylvania for Thanksgiving. I got the car repaired in Pennsylvania since the lug nut bolts snapped. They showed me how the two front tires, even though they were only a few months old, had chunks falling off as if they were dry rotted. Once back in Michigan, I went to the shop and asked them if they would honor the warranty or comp me for the two new used tires I had to buy. They said they wouldn't do anything without seeing the damaged tires. I showed him pictures, but he said he needed the actual tires even though we had to leave them in Pennsylvania. They did a sloop job, my whole family could have been seriously injured or worse due to their negligence, and they refused to honor the warranty they sold my fiancé. We continued to push and they said the GM would call us but he never did. I would highly recommend doing business anywhere else but not here. They are heartless and cheap. Although I cant prove it, I think they are deliberately negligent and they take advantage of perceived unattached females since my fiancé went in by herself and they charged her top dollar for dry rotted tires and tried to say they were new and under warranty. I also can't prove they didn't sufficiently torque the tires which caused the lug nut bots to snap and for our wheel to go flying off the highway into a cornfield. My mechanic in PA says this is what happened but it's difficult to prove and they took zero responsibility. And the manager I talked to was a jerk. read more

Ruined brake line and put the blame on me. Came in for a simple rotation and balance to cant even drive home. Currently sitting in parking lot waiting for gm to call me back. They gave multiple reasons i now have issues with brake line. They wanna charge $200 to to fix brake line but thats just labor. If the problem was my fault they would of charged for everything. They do a decent job with tires but nothing makes me angrier than being called a liar. My car was nice and quiet when I brought it in, after I brought it to Budget Tire on Cedar st it's making a tic tic tic noise. I dropped my car off to have rear sway bar links replaced. They called me and told me it was done. I asked Joe specifically if they had road tested the car and the clunks were gone he said yes. I picked up the car on the way home with the rear clunking terribly. I looked at my paperwork and it said replaced front sway bar links. I had just had the fronts replaced 3 days ago at another shop. Call Joe the next day told him probably the best thing for us to do was put the car up in the air and take a look at what had been replaced and what not together he said that they were too busy to do that on a Saturday and then if I wanted to wait hours and hours I could bring it in on Monday. Terrible experience customer service was bad. Look at the other Google reviews on this place they are all about the same. Go somewhere else even if you have to pay more it won't be worth the aggravation read more

Unbelievably horrible experience!! Worst customer service I've ever had. I had a metal rod go into my tire that needed fixed. They first started "fixing" the wrong tire!! I'm the one that noticed and brought it to their attention. Can we say dangerous? They didn't fix the hole but brushed my rims and repeatedly said it's fixed. Next day had a flat. Took tire to another place and paid to have it fixed. Spoke with Joe who told me twice that I would be reimbursed for the $11.00 since their tech didn't fix it right in the beginning. Now it gets really bad...the manager Justin (also the owners son) would not honor what Joe said and refused to reimburse me the $11.00!!! And Joe was standing there confirming what I was saying. It wasn't about the money, but the principle. It's called good customer service and doing the right thing. The fact that he refused to honor what his employee told me is ridiculous. I told him he's losing a customer over $11.00 but he didn't care and still refused to make it right. I will NEVER go there again!!! read more

Been here twice with a flat (ran over a nail). Discount tire tried to bullshit me and waste my time by saying that I needed to replace all 4 tires for over $800. The guys at Budget repaired the flat quick as hell, they're knowledgeable, and affordable!! Highly recommend! read more

I've never written a review before but I had to after my most recent experience here. I will never go anywhere else as long as I'm in Lansing. They are honest and have fair pricing. On more than one occasion they have explained in detail what is going on with my car and have shown me what the issue is too. They want me to understand what I'm paying for even though it'd be easy to take advantage of me since I don't know much about cars. While I hate dealing with car troubles, I'm always relieved I'm dealing with a company who does not overcharge. read more
