Good mechanics typically know good mechanics and know bad referrals could reflect back on them as well as good referrals. We remain grateful for the referral. In the two instances we've gone to CB, he's been responsive, kept us informed, been honest about options, potential outcomes, and guided us to best solution for the situations at hand. It's clear they care about the work they do and appreciate their customers. Most recently, we had an issue on the eve of a holiday. We called, explained the noises and what we thought were going on. They fit us in, had it diagnosed and gave us an estimate and said they could get it fixed by end of day, which they did. They gave us a heads-up of things to be on the lookout for (some we were already aware of), but no pressure or scare tactics. The bill for parts and labor was in line with our expectations. He is not on our provider list, but we totally trust him, so we use him anyway. I was able to chat with several people, including one of the few seasoned fiberglass experts in the area, and was given a general ballpark. Once serious and decided, I returned to hand over the car and get a more tuned quote and timeline. During the next 12 weeks, the car's awful fiberglass body was given much needed TLC. Mike was in constant contact over phone and text message, providing status updates, pictures, and timeline updates. I'm very very pleased with the results and the price. It was not cheap (between $5k and $10k), but other shops were quoting $15k+. The difference might be that the other shops were only wanting to do a perfect, concourse-level job, and I was able to inform Sentry that this was unnecessary for my use case. I highly recommend Sentry to anyone with a car they truly care about, be it classic or modern. You won't pay an exorbitant price and will get very good results. I'm sure you can get better results if you ask and are willing to pay for the extra time.

The Messy Sidewall Scandal First of all, I look at my tires--beautiful tires, the best tires--and what do I see? Lubricant everywhere. It's all over the sidewalls! It looks like a grease pit. They have no respect for the equipment. They just slap it on, very sloppy, very low-energy. It's a disgrace to the car! Technical Failure: The TPMS Disaster Then, I get in the car. The light is still on! They didn't even check the TPMS sensors. I asked them, "Did you check the sensors?" They looked at me like they didn't have a clue. * The Invoice: They can't even read! They wrote the wrong vehicle on the invoice. I bring in a world-class machine, and they write down some "loser" car on the paper. Total incompetence! * The Alignment: I've seen turtles move faster. They are slow and completely unskilled. The car is pulling to the left, pulling to the right--it's a rigged alignment!
