this has to be the worst tow trucking company i have ever dealt with. mavis had to call me a tow truck because THEY didn't do their job like i originally asked them to and i ended up with a flat tire again this morning after going to them yesterday afternoon. thank God i discovered my tire was flat when leaving my house and it didn't happen on the highway !! Mavis called them at 8:45 in the morning for a tow, they didn't get to me until 12 noon. keep in mind they are located in lilburn and i'm in snellville . i waited 4 hours for a tow truck ! what if i was stranded on the highway !!! seriously i don't recommend this company . they are worst than AAA read more

Save yourself a headache, don't go here. My husband got in an accident and the jackass police officer refused to let him call our tow company and instead sent it here. I've never had a WORSE experience trying to deal with a petty accident than with these people. If you want to get anything out of your car, you have to sign multiple forms including getting a notary signed. When I went to pick up my husbands things they then told us that there was a charge that went up by the day. Until then, nobody had told us a single thing. To top everything off, these are the absolute rudest people I've ever spoken to. it's a money grabbing business and nothing else. They could not care less about you having a pleasant day. This is the absolute worst experience I've ever had with towing services. First, the woman (who originally said her name was Cassandra but then changed it to Brittany) was rude off the bat. She interrupted almost every time I had to speak and then cut me off by putting me on hold while I was in the middle of a sentence. Second, she told me that the service provider would arrive in an hour and a half. An hour and a half flies by and NO ONE contacts me to let me know that it's gonna be another HOUR before someone gets here. When I addressed her on her communication, she could care less. I'm completely disgusted by her customer service and the lack of communication as a whole for the company. IF YOU DONT LIKE YOUR JOB. FIND SOMETHING ELSE. BUT PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THE NEXT PERSONS LIFE HARDER BECAUSE YOU HATE YOURS. I had SHAWN come out and tried to help tow my Maserati out of my garage, seeing that the steering wheel was locked and I have no keys to the car, he didn't want to take any chances and called in for help. Statewide then sent out SHELTON and he came to the rescue to help "swing and dolly" the car out of the garage. They actually had to "THINK OUTSIDE OF THE BOX" to help get the car before being able to put it onto the flatbed. They put their expertise together and CAREFULLY, and I mean CAREFUL TO THE INCHES! To get my car out! Then I have a sloped driveway which made everything all the more difficult! But they did it and I WAS LITERALLY HOLDING MY BREATH THE WHOLE TIME! After my car wreck, I needed to retrieve my personal items from my car. Martin at the Norcross location was extremely helpful and friendly. The entire process was painless and quick. The guy at the yard helped open the back seat so I could get my things from the trunk (Trunk was so damaged it was practically sealed shut) After reading some negative comments on google, I was nervous how they would charge me. However, the price came back reasonable. I'm glad the staff was so nice and treated me professionally. read more

My roadside assistant provider assigned this wrecker service to tow my car. I had never used them before. When they dispatched the tow truck they notified me and my roadside company it would be 1 hour for service to arrive to my hours. After a hour came and went, my roadside assistant company contacted them with me on 3-way. We were told 20 more minutes. After 25, we were told 10 more. Which ended up being almost 30 more. Considering I was told 1 hour and I was only 10 miles from their location I find it ridiculous that I waited over 2 hours for their services. had a car accident and my car was towed by this service, left my glasses in the car by mistake being as though I was rushed at the scene to get off the shoulder of the highway. I called a day or two later to confirm my window I left down was rolled up and that my glasses were still in the car. I was told by a woman who answered the phone that she could see my glasses on the passenger chair and my window was up. fast forward they dropped my car off at Classic Collision and left my car in customer parking unlocked with the keys in the car two days later I called panicking and was told they did not follow proper procedure as far as locking the car and locking the keys in the drop box. Meanwhile my $420 Tiffany & Co prescription glasses are missing. Mr. Dobbs very nicely told me they were not responsible and I should have come get my property. At that point I SHOULD have called another service... so I waited again and still another hour and a half they hadn't picked up. Went to the auction here and it sucked! They take all the radios out of the cars before they sell them. There's a $50 fee to sell your car here and then they don't care about getting it sold all they want is your money. I don't recommend buying or selling cars at this location......and I def. wouldn't get one towed...they are shady. Be very careful! read more

My car broke down in the middle of an exit ramp and I called Statewide towing, because my roadside assistance company gave me an ETA of 2 hours. I called Statewide Wrecker Service and Ryan arrived super quickly and was extremely nice. He turned a stressful situation into a pleasant one. He towed our car to our shop of preference and made sure we had a ride back home. He didn't leave until our Uber got there. I definitely recommend the company and our driver Ryan. You cannot count on these people to care about you. Son broke down. I went to pick him up. I am 64, sat in the cold for 2 hours...then the driver called and said he would be there in 20 minutes. No show. Not answering his phone. Finally got him and he said he had to go on an emergency call. Now, I get emergencies take precedence over breakdowns.....but no one calls me. Finally, 3 hrs later, Roadside Assistance calls me...still on hold with them, I had to go home to answer a nature call. Still on the hold, back and forth, finally got someone from another tow company who was reliable and was there when he said he would be. Good luck calling State Wide is all I can say! I was in an accident Tuesday morning. For some unknown reason, Gwinnett County contacted this crappy company, instead of using Lance in Lawrenceville. When I called them this morning, they told me that I could come get my stuff out of car, and sign a release so the insurance company could come out and get the car. After driving 30 minutes, they informed me in person that I had to prove who I was and that I owned the car. I gave them my license. Then they informed me that it wasn't good enough. I had to contact my insurance company (2 times) and have them e-mail the info to me. They are doing this so they can commit insurance fraud and charge the company by the day in case I couldn't get back out there. read more

There is a definite scam being run here between the cops and this company. I ran up $350 worth of fees and I was not told that before my car was towed here after the accident. The cops call the wrecker service and you basically have no choice. Biggest scam in Gwinnett County. I have daughters who have wrecked three of my vehicles and Statewide being the go to wrecker company the Gwinnett county Police call automatically to clear the vehicles from the site, have towed all three. The drivers are the rudest people I have ever dealt with and I'm 52. They do whatever they want regardless of your questions or concerns. They charge double or more than any of the wrecker companies in the area. They don't take insurance roadside coverage or AAA. They continue to do a brisk business because of the police not because they are good at their job. Terrible experience that costs double a normal rate and they have no manners or customer satisfaction concerns of any kind!! They are the worst!! If there were negative stars I'd use that. read more

I would give them no stars. What a joke of a towing company. They towed my truck after it was stolen from my shop. They held my truck for as long as they could before notifying me by mail that they had my truck. In the front seat of the truck was the company name and phone # and a insurance Binder with the company name on it $645 to retrieve my truck $195 of it was storage when they could have called as soon as they towed it . The rudest people on the phone and even worse when going to pick up the truck, stood in line for hours to get waited on then they couldn't find the truck. Had to wait till the next day. Received confirmation of 160 minutes before Statewide wrecker would arrive. 1:15 am, received a call stating the driver would be 30 minutes late. 2:30 called Geico insurance to find out where is the tow company Statewide. Gieco tells me another 30 minutes, at 3:30 I decided to call Statewide wrecker service. I was informed "they do work for the city and I was not priority" I was told by the dispatcher it maybe 4 hours or more. Poor service, but what do you expect from a bone head towing company. One day we'll have cars that won't need idiots like statewide wrecker service or maybe drones can help with accidents. I put in a request through Geico at 7pm. They said it would take an hour. An hour turned into 3 hours. When I called the representative, she HUNG up on me. No updates, no phonecalls, no contacts. I finally had to request my insurance company to put in a request for another roadside assistance service. All I needed help with is with a flat tire on the side of the road. Very lousy customer service when you first come to the main desk! For example, the employee clerk gave priority attention to an incoming phone call of inquiry, midway through helping me, when, really, she could have simply put it on hold until my time-sensitive business was completed. I asked her why she wasn't giving me respect and her undivided attention, especially since my business preceded the moment of phone call and there were no complications in identifying both my self and my vehicle. She wouldn't answer me. Additionally, she asked me to print my name and address on the paperwork three different times on three different forms, when she could have done it herself---all I should have been responsible for was my signature. (Like, why was I doing her work for her?) Suffice it to say that I do not appreciate her attitude and an obviously subpar job performance. As a concerned citizen, I am contacting Gwinnett County to lodge a formal complaint about my experience with them. I am encouraging both Purchase and Risk Management departments to not renew their application for towing service in our county. Simply because this taxpayer is not getting his money's worth. read more

Statewide Wrecker Service is not what I would call a trusted friend in the towing industry. Called statewide wrecker at 1:23 pm spoke with someone in dispatch with detailed instructions on the location, size, and delivery address of my truck. The response from the dispatch operator was less then professional, "We will get someone there when we can". I responded with do you have a time frame on when someone will be here to pick the truck up? Response "Should be about two hours". So we wait two and a half hours pass no tow truck in sight. So we call Statewide back. Dispatch informs us that the tow truck is 15 min away. Thirty minutes pass and finally the tow truck shows, it is now 4:20 pm. Little to our dismay the truck is too small to tow our truck which was very frustrating due to the fact we were very specific in telling dispatch about the size of our truck. After a lengthy phone conversation with who we assume is the mans boss the Statewide driver tells us very little (he will send an other driver) and leaves us sitting there. So we called Statewide back at 5:17 to get an update on when our truck would be collected. We are then told that it would be an other one and a half hours for the new tow truck to show. So, it is now 7:10 and the new tow truck finally shows. It takes this operator 30 min to get the truck hooked up. We are now on our way, we finally reach our destination to sit and wait 30 more min for the truck to be unhooked. Not satisfied with the level of service and lack of professionalism from Statewide Wrecker. I will not be using this company in the future after a 7 hour ordeal. read more
