My boyfriend and I rented a truck online. We had the 16' truck reserved. When we showed up to pick it up, we were told the person who was supposed to drop off the truck the night prior didn't (No idea why no one bothered to call me or why they couldn't reach out to another budget location to secure the truck we needed) and they didn't have a 16' one. Guess that was the only one as the other one had a fuel issue. While my boyfriend was more understanding, I was immediately pissed. We had furniture waiting back at our apartment for the truck! They were only able to offer us a smaller truck and when I asked for a discount, we were told that couldn't be done but they gave us unlimited mileage (considering we would now have to make more trips) and moving blankets. Ok, I was still frustrated but happy they were able to do something about our situation. Fast forward and we drop off our truck to a budget location in Mesa ONLY to be told the guy wouldn't accept it because the lot was full. How is that our problem.. so we once again were inconvenienced and had to return the truck to a different location. I contacted corporate frustrated and finally was able to get us some compensation back. I will NEVER EVER use Budget again. Worst customer service and experience. If I didn't call and basically complain and be persistent nothing would have been done and judging from other comments here, this seems to be how they conduct business. read more

We went to pick up a truck at a different location and no one was there and they just cancelled our reservation so we came to this location and they were SO HELPFUL!! They got us back into a vehicle that would do the job and matched pricing. I really appreciate all the help and would recommend them to others. read more

We reserved a 26ft truck 3 days in advance and when the day came to get our truck the guy said we were supposed to be called and notified that they didn't have a 26 ft truck available. Well we never got a call. His fix was to have US call the customer service line to possibly find a new truck. We called and told our situation just to be transferred to a line that was busy and then hung up on us. This happened twice. After 2 hours of dealing with this we went down the street to U-haul and got a truck in 15 minutes for the same price.. Don't waste your time with this company or this location. Horrible service start to finish. Came in to a woman who couldn't help me because she was babysitting a small baby while working. Baby screamed the entire time i was in there. I returned the truck and they told me this morning i put no fuel in it, they are charging me for 8 gallons of gas despite there being no way it would hold another 8 gallons, and a $30 fueling charge. This place is a racket. I should have just gone to Uhaul like I have before. An 8 hour truck rental just cost me about $200 because of their shady fuel rules. As my last review states they had no truck for me, so then I wake up to a 50 dollar no show charge from budget. Funny thing is I showed and they didn't have my truck for me. So I call the customer service line and they say I'm being charged because I tried to use my moms credit card. I used MY debit card while making the reservation they never once said anything about my moms credit card when I tried to get the truck they just said they don't have my truck for me. They took off the 50$ charge which I am thankful for but I will never rent from budget, shady business here. read more

AZ to AL I was looking to rent a truck for 24 hrs. I went to Uhaul website first, not satisfied, I knew there had to be something else. I then visited the Budget Website & could enter a coupon code, which was great, but just to be sure I called and spoke with Sharon the manager of this location. She is absolutely fabulous! She reviewed all the coupon codes that were available to me, it lowered my per day truck rental by $3.00, my mileage fee by $.015 pr mile, and she was so helpful. I'll tell ya that there is no way that Uhaul would have done any of this for me,. Uhaul's standard mileage rate is $0.69 pr mile, I saved a good amount of $. Also I discussed renting a truck and pulling my car behind it with a tow dolly, with Uhaul it would have cost me $1200, FYI UHAUL will not budge on anything.. That did not include fuel either. Had I done the cross country move at that time, her pricing was so competitive, and they have coupons & discounts and will beat Uhaul, anyday, handsdown!!! With Budget, between the truck & the tow dolly for the car my cost's without fuel was just a bit over $800.00.... so there ya have it, I am frugal as all get out, did some homework and was very pleased to have called Budget & spoke to Sharon when I did. Oh 1 more thing, you dont have to have a cc to rent a truck either! of course you will have to put down a cash deposit, it was small, and my rental fee's were taken out of the deposit. So it was great. Sharon & the staff, were friendly, helpful, accommodating, and just so nice. I will rent from Budget anytime again. read more
