I frequent this location a lot. They always have good, consistent food and the restaurant is pretty clean. The staff seem to know their roles in the store. There is always someone wiping down the tables or taking out the trash. Good customer service as well. A couple of the workers usually know what I order and they start my order as soon as I walk up. The lady in charge has been there many years and she keeps the place running smoothly. This is my favorite Buds Chicken restaurant in the area. read more

This is a long standing local business that is always a treat to visit. The staff is always friendly, the food is always great, and it's classic. Fried everything, how can you go wrong? My favorite is the fried fish sandwich. The fish is always perfectly fried and tasty. The sandwich always looks overstuffed and like it will fall apart. It can be a mess and that is why it's awesome. Im Not sure the employees here understand common manners. Hello, thank you, please, all simple things that can change the attitude of the conversation. Decided to go here after reading an online article praising their food. The author of the article must have been paid to write it. This was one of the worst restaurants I have her had the displeasure of eating at. For two people it cost $30. I had chicken finger dinner and Hubbie had chicken and shrimp. Both meals were disgusting! My husband loves fried chicken so if he doesn't eat it then you know for sure something is wrong. The chicken from both meals was barely warm and it was so very dry and bland. The mashed potatoes were instant and actually the better of the items we had (not saying much). The macaroni salad was just pasta in mayonnaise with raw green peppers. The Mac and cheese looked and tasted as if it had been sitting around for several weeks. The corn fritters were cold and tasteless with whole pieces of corn in them. The sweet tea tasted as if it was rancid. One bite of each item and it all went into the garbage. They have very limited condiments and keep them all behind the counter so you have to ask for them and they were not happy when we asked. They do not carry butter which seems weird as they sell mashed potatoes. It took 20 minutes to get this nasty food ( no one ahead of us)? The employees were just standing around gossiping the majority of the time we were there. Wouldn't be surprised if this place closed down soon due to the poor quality of food and service. Don't dare ask for napkins either they will tell you they don't have them even though you can see the box right there behind the counter. Would not feed this slop to an animal let alone a human. Ok I get it. It's a pandemic. But the food doesn't have to look nor taste like it. I have senior neighbors I go and get food for. Today was no different and it's Memorial Day. I ordered a 2 pc dinner white. They don't have wings. Fine. Substitute for a leg. After getting the food, I wasn't able to check it right away due to the heavy rain. Now, 40 years later, every time I visit S. FL, this is my first stop to kill that craving of what I think is the best fried chicken ever. So this place is old, needs to have a serious make over, is super slowI, and boy do I mean slow! Bud's chicken is a place we've been going as long as it's been there. Their chicken is is moist, but needs more or better seasoning! We've only tried the shrimp here once and it was so rubbery we should've used it as a bouncy ball not as a food item. The fries are never salted and we stopped buying them after the last time they were cold, soggy, and tasteless. They use no name brand except for soda which is a huge turn off for me. The quality of their products is all very generic and tasteless except for their tarter sauce which is good. We come here for the fritters, which are normally very delicious, and they really are the best around. They have real corn inside of them, and they are great pipping hot. We ordered a few dozen for football Sundays and our family love them! Most of the staff seem blah I don't know how else to explain it. They aren't overly friendly, they are doing their job and that is that. Lastly they are incredibly SLOW (like a sloth that's asleep... kind of slow) We spent almost 15 minutes in line to get a dozen fritters today and we only had two cars ahead of us! So they definitely need to work on their time in the drive through. Although their sleepy slothness isn't exclusive to their drive through their inside times are just as long. Anytime we've ever gone in to get food it's been the same thing we've had 15 minute wait every time. I would definitely say Publix has better chicken, but you really can't be there fritters. Got the chicken tender dinner since three is just not going to cut it for a lunch. Positives is that for $10.50, it wasn't that bad of a price and for people with smaller appetites the lunch specials are priced well and the hush puppies were pretty good. Negatives: Pretty much everything else. There is no quality here. Generic everything. Generic mayo? Red Gold Ketchup?, hot sauce? Makes me wonder about the rest of the food I just ate. Rather pay another $0.50-$1 more to have better quality. Ton of food but zero flavor in the breading,Coke slaw was pretty much chopped cabbage and carrots, no salt or pepper on the fries, I asked for a Coke and was given Pepsi(didn't tell me it was Pepsi products). I told the young lady and without opening her mouth she took my bag and corrected it, she handed me back my bag and as I drove off it was still wrong.
