Had spent some time perusing the menu online, so I was ready! The wonderful smell of BBQ was the first thing to greet me, then our server was most welcoming and attended to our every need. Elisa, the owner, said there's no soy, high fructose corn syrup, or peanut in their ingredients; and their pasta is organic! Before I get to the food, I have to tell you about the mustard sauce...I've never been a fan before, but Mrs Smokey's mustard sauce made me a diehard, lifetime fan! Onions caramelized down to almost nothing, then they add the mustard and continue to cook...I was in mustard sauce heaven, and ate every drop! Now to the food: as we couldn't decide, we ordered "just the meat" of the following: ribs, wings, pulled pork, rib ends, and brisket. Awesome! You can actually taste the pork/chicken/beef, as the "smoke" does not overwhelm the taste of the food (which has been my experience in some other bbq places). The collards were cooked but not overcooked, as is sadly done in many other places. The potatoes in the potato salad were also not overcooked. The cabbage in the cole slaw was fresh and crunchy, the way it should be! The medium BBQ sauce had enough of a kick to make me happy (no bland sauce here!). And the cornbread is made in a skillet (as it should be) and the portions were huge! A very satisfying first visit to Mrs Smokey's and I can guarantee you it won't be my last!

Great restaurant with nice ambiance. It is better than your typical bbq joint. It has charm and great service. You order from the front counter and they bring the food to your table. Brisket was delicious. Also notable was that they offer different types of bbq sauces to compliment your meal. From sweet to super spicy. (Blazing hot) Good beer selection its always available. Definitely recommend coming here.

This was one of the best bbq experiences we have had in a long time. We were brought here by friends who'd enjoyed the food here and wanted us to try it. We are so glad they did. This small, family-owned casual restaurant is located in a Publix shopping center on Donald Ross Road just north of the Jupiter/West Palm border. There's lots of parking right out front. You order and pay at the cashier. They give you a funny or famous name to remember your order. Ours was Pocahontas. But they brought the trays of food to our table. It's not often that both couples liked everything we ordered -- including the sides. And we even had leftovers to take home. My husband had a pulled pork plate. He got the sauce on the side. He also tried their potato salad and baked beans and added on cornbread, too. The pork was quite tender and tasty. The beans had a slight sweet but peppery twist to them; the corn bread was sweet and cake like. I got their rib tips. This was a pound of meat only. I got their rib tips with a dry rub. Sauce on the side. If you're not afraid to eat with your fingers around the bone and the cartilage, this is for you. These small chopped odd-sized pieces of ribs were absolutely delicious. And since it's so hands on, I was glad I'd got the sauce on the side. Messy but not too bad in company. My husband gave me the fried biscuit that came with his meal. I loved it, as well. Our friends had a pulled pork sandwich, and a half rack of ribs with collards and potato salad. They were happy campers, too. So glad we got a chance to try this place. We never would have known about it on our own. Hope to come back, soon.

Amazing menu, food was delicious & the BEST fried pickles I've ever eaten (&I am a pickle lover)! Super friendly & helpful staff. Quaint & cozy atmosphere with western motif. Only reason we did t finish the meal was because we also ordered banana cream pie & 'a' brownie.....0-0

I'm going to be honest, the fact I was over charged for every single item while ordering online made me extremely upset once I went in and saw the menu. I spent 40$ for something that should've costed me 23.50. Literally 39$ in total. Don't understand how. But I will never go back here. Unfortunate bc I work 6 mins away I'm very sad this happened. I love my bbq:( The brisket was good (possibly very good very moist and spot on! Best part of the meal) also the collards were very good! (Second best part of the meal I loved them!) the pricing is why the review is at three stars :/ the Mac and cheese was soggy it was not even edible. they (possibly) bought it in from a vendor.. it tasted like they did not make it in house, it was almost like they heated it up too much to the point it gets soggy. The bbq sauce has a very strong alcohol taste to it too, I did not enjoy the sauce itself I believe it was mild (the sweet one) the coleslaw had a strong cabbage taste I was not a fan of it, it tasted like a lot of mayo I love my slaw too. That also tasted like it was bought in from a vendor. Ordered online for my lunch break went in 20 mins later after (25 min wait is what I was told) they clearly had no tickets hanging up or any customers I waited another 20 minutes on my lunch break for them to get my food ready.. all in all I was disappointed with this experience and would not recommend my friends or family to eat here.. Interior had a warm feel and seemed like it would be a nice place to sit and eat. Unfortunately I do not see myself returning in the future or recommending this place to anybody.

Hi everyone, today I had the 1/2 rack of baby back ribs with Mac n cheese. The ribs were delicious and really flavorful. The meat fell off the bone and the bbq sauce was sweet and delicious. I highly recommend checking out this restaurant. The bbq pork sandwiches are also good.

Okay BBQ, but not top notch. I think my baby back ribs could have been better. I found them pretty dry and over cooked. A little mushy. The potato salad was delicious. The baked beans were okay. I also ordered the sweet siracha baked wings. Half rack baby back ribs, with two sides, and 8 wings for $40 after tax. I personally feel this is over priced. I'm glad I finally got to try this restaurant.

Took a slight detour off the turnpike to stop here on the way from Fort Lauderdale to Orlando. Let me start this by saying I really wanted to like it here, however we didn't have the best experience here. I'll start with the good. The brisket was nice and tender and the chicken was seasoned well and delicious. Now the bad. I personally am not a fan of their bbq sauce. It was very tomato? heavy. I should have got the sauce on the side because it ruined the brisket. Next, the food took forever. We walked into an empty restaurant and it took almost 30 minutes for us to get our food. They did seem busy with take out food but I overheard them saying let's work on these to go orders then we'll get to dine in. Overall it was on okay experience.

Can't wait to go back! Mrs. Smokey's is my new favorite place. Totally comfort food - BBQ, Mac 'n Cheese, cornbread, smoked chicken wings - and the flatbread is wonderful! It's a small, family owned business serving quality food at decent prices. Plus, you get a cowboy name picked just for you!! See ya'll there!!

Everything from the ambiance to the food and even the service was phenomenal. Great dining room area with both an outdoor and indoor bar. We sat with the bartender AB that immediately greeted us with waters and their menu. They are currently running a pick 2 for $15.99 menu that has some pretty great options. We had 2 meals & chose the wings, blackened shrimp po boy with the small gumbo's. Wings were super crispy, juicy, and tender. With a nice light Smokey taste. They buffalo and blue cheese sauce was actually pretty impressive. The po boy had a good amount of shrimp to bread ratio, with a nice sauce included. The gumbo had a deep rich flavor, but was not overly heavy with fatty meats. We were also informed of the happy hour oyster special, so we ended up getting a few of the rockerfella and raw. The rockerfella was amazing with melty cheese, a nice garlic flavor, & served with crispy bread slices. The raw came with crackers, lemon, wine vinegar, and a tasty cocktail sauce. Both were delicious. Marco, the manager came and spoke with us about our experience which really showed the attention to detail this restaurant offers. After sharing our story of visiting New Orleans a few years ago and bragging about the beignets, he brought us 2 out to finish our meal. I have to say, these were better than the ones I've had at cafe beignet in NOLA. They were HOT out the fryer to the point where the powdered sugar was slightly melted. Crisp outside dough but gooey soft in the center. A unreal experience to end a fantastic meal. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Luckily my sister lives 5 mins from this place but I would easily drive a hour or 2 when visiting from out of town just for this experience. Marco and AB really went above and beyond to make sure this was a special outing on a regular ole' Monday, and we could not have left happier.

At the bar- nice personal space and hooks for purses. Nice place to perch my feet and store my obnoxiously long golf umbrella. Perfect atmosphere for a chilly, rain date lunch with spouse. Balance of business professionals, "ladies who lunch", and a few couples. The bar reminds me a of nicer Las Vegas resort hotel bar. One TV showing Golf TV. Food = We've eaten at J.Alex since their soft open moons ago. The dishes are always consistent quality. Today hub's was jonesing for a French dip. I was craving their Nashville hot fried chicken sandwich. We both order their shoestring fries. We're slowly enjoyed each other's company and our lunches. We immensely enjoyed our meals. Service = Good. Our bartender didn't offer his name, and we weren't on our game to ask his name. However, he did a good job. He quickly came over and put down black napkin placemats with napkin rolled utensils and offered water while we skimmed the menu. Beverages were served quick. Food order quick and complete. We never had to ask for extra sides as he brought them all out with the meals- ketchups (If you like an abundant serving, ask when you place your order. They use small 2 oz stainless steel ramekins.), horseradish sauce, a side of blue cheese (to dip my fries in ), and my Nashville hot sauce on the side. Check came quick too. We ask and learned that they do not offer a Happy Hour. However, they offer very large pour martinis with a side car waiting for you for the price of one. He said late afternoons they have very happy and loyal regulars! We've been dining at "J.A." since their soft open many moons ago. They have always offered well trained staff. We've been here as parties of two, parties of up to 8, and as times with infants, to toddlers, to elementary school age peeps to seniors who many need a little extra consideration with seating. J.Alexander's has always offered great service. However, for some with low vision may find the back of the restaurant a little dark. Bathrooms are clean. There is an outside, screened over bar area as well. My extra bullet points: Value = Yes! High quality, consistent food, great staff and fair price for the experience. The BIG question: Will we return? Yes! We are every other month "regulars". During COVID, they were able to pivot their business to keeping their doors up keeping people employed and offered service to the community. HIGH GIVE! We'll be back. Cheers! Tip: Be sure to make reservations especially during holiday weekends, PGA golf classic weekends and "Season" for tables. If they're booked, Bonefill Grill is directly next door as "back up". Get there early for parking as the lot fills up fast for dinner with several restaurants sharing the same lot.
