It was just okay. It took a while (10 minutes or longer) for someone to come take our drink order. Service lacked & it seemed like there wasn't much effort. The food was just okay too. My wings needed to be well done but they had good flavor. The place is spacious but I'm not sure how they keep up with service if it was like that way early in the afternoon.

I have had this place on my list of restaurants to try and hands down we will be going back sooner rather than later. The food was so good, service was wonderful, and the atmosphere was just what we needed!! We sat at the bar and had a wonderful bartender taking care of us. She made great recommendations and I'm already wanting to go back! I'm probably going to have dreams of those hush puppies tonight (not pictured bc i stole them from my husband's plate)!

I saw this place on Facebook literally last night and the pictures of the food looked so good I HAD to come try. Service was great, food was 10/10, they were fast friendly and attentive. We got drinks after our food and sat down to play slots. The vibe was so chill and welcoming. Overall amazing experience and the food was so good we will definitely be back regularly!

Came here with a friend of mine for lunch since he heard they had great fish and his friend was right!!! We each ordered the fish dinner and the fish was excellent. Fish was not greasy with the right amount of batter. He enjoyed his onion rings while I liked my seasoned fries. We both agreed that the coleslaw was great. The restaurant had generous servings and reasonably priced. The staff were very pleasant and the place was clean.

Buds is always a good time. We LOVE the new pizza on the menu. Service has always been great no matter whos waiting on us. Good vibes and a fun atmosphere! Highly recommend:)

This place is a little hidden gem. The food was really good. You have to understand this is tavern food but it is done very well. The bowl of beans with cornbread pancake yummmmy. Tuesday night is local live music. Can get a little loud but you can go to the other side of the tavern to get away from it. So if you are looking for some good for and entertainment give Buds a try.

Surprisingly, this place is clean, has friendly staff, and is well lit. I fully expected a dingy old bar, but it has been remodeled and updated. There is a nice outdoor space and an expanded dining room away from the bar. They have live music some nights and karaoke also. After the pleasantries above, let's talk about the food ... it is just average. I've tried a few different items. Some are good and some are just okay. The fried cheese cubes are good with Thai chili sauce. The grilled pineapple chicken and fries are good. My husband really likes the fried fish, the bean soup with cornbread, and the cheeseburger. The items that could be improved are nachos, smoked wings, and smoked chicken. These items lacked flavor or were just okay. Overall, we like the convenience of this place and the potential it has, but it just isn't GREAT food.

I will say I highly recommend the pork slider and the dry rub chicken wings! Also, the sliders really were a good option that Angelica recommended! Hands down the best waitress and very informative of the menu! The service, like I said earlier, was great! Angelica was easy to talk to and gave great recommendations! The ambiance was retro, and I loved that it reminded me of the past of the BBQ spots I have been in long ago! Overall, I will say give MMP&BBQ! Loved that she sat down at our booth as one of us to take our order. The atmosphere is very basic. Old school feel but minimal wall decorations but we did love the authentic Bob Ross painting with authenticity! The food: 1. Wings: good. Blue cheese could be better but wasn't the worst. 2. Meatball slider- I NEVER order meatloaf at restaurants because i enjoy my own meatloaf. The waitress suggested it and I disliked it. I saw some bell pepper in there and it was dry. Not for me. 3. Mac and cheese- pretty good. Very cheesy 4. Cornbread- my son ate more than half of my first piece so i ordered a second. The second was smooth as butter and DELICIOUS! Cornbread was the big win for me here. True score: 3.5 (They are known as the best wings in town but they were not the best we have ever had. That goes to Rodney Scott.)

Melts in your mouth and well seasoned. We loved the Mac and cheese, my wife is particular about that and this met her standards. The vinegar slaw was perfectly tangy and refreshing. And the sweet potato fries are exactly what you need to dip into those sauces. Get the hot bbq sauce and add the vinegar sauce!! Even as I type I have a nice warmth in my mouth and throat. It made me star dipping everything in the sauce- slaw included!! Burgoo is fantastic!! With a gentle heat, I would get it alone if it came in a big bowl! With so much meat, corn, Lima beans, and carrots but it is the broth (sauce?) that gets you hooked. We had the Ale8-1 Burton slushy, which is sweet and refreshing on a hot day. And for desert we had to try the bourbon bites! Wow! Try to save room. Love the music in the background and casual atmosphere which would be fun for families or friend to meet. Four of us had an excellent experience for our dinner in Louisville, and besides the food, a lot of that experience was due to our server, Julie. She was great, super friendly and professional, and expertly answered a ton of Bourbon-related questions from my Bourbon loving friend. My wife and I dove into the Southern theme and had a Pulled Pork Sandwich ($16), Southern Colada ($16), Fried Green Tomatoes ($10), and a Southern Gumbo ($10) for dinner. I ordered the Fried Gren Tomatoes to share with the table, and they were wonderful - "Five full moon green tomatoes fried in cornmeal and panko, topped with fresh chives and served with Doc's Remoulade". They were light as a feather, most definitely non-greasy and had a great crunch from the panko and cornmeal. My Southern Gumbo (A hearty stew filled with andouille sausage, chicken and vegetables in savory Cajun broth served over rice. Served with cornbread) was excellent. Great flavor, great spice, plenty of sausage and chicken, and excellent accompaniments in the rice and cornbread. And how could I not mention my Southern Colada, with Michter's US*1 Sour Mash, Pineapple Juice & Coconut. It was quite a bit stronger than any Colada I ever had, but I guess that can be expected when you use an 86-proof small batch Kentucky whiskey in your Colada. Of course, I loved it. This was our second visit to Doc Crow. We were there a few days ago as the first stop on our Louisville food tour and enjoyed a delicious bowl of shrimp and grits. The Doc sure treated us well. PRO TIP Be sure to check out the Doc's jaw dropping collection of bourbon bottles that seem to dominate the various rooms wherever you look.

Wife ordered a mango margarita and doesn't like a lot of tequila, so Kylie went half and gave her a shot on the side in case she wanted to add more. It was wonderful. I had a couple of beers. We started with the fried mushrooms, which aren't what you would expect. It's two large portobellos cut into chunks, battered, fried, and served with sun-dried tomato mayo. They were great. I then ordered a duck taco, brisket taco, and a side of Grippo Fries with smoked mayo. I'd never tried duck but that taco was smack-a-lackin'. The brisket taco was also good, and the fries were fantastic - sweet and spicy, fresh cut, and crispy. Wife ordered a pork belly slider and truffle fries. She enjoyed the slider but didn't care for the fries - just not her thing. The portions here are large. A side of fries will feed three people. We took a hefty portion of them home, as well as some of the mushrooms. We could've sat there at the bar and spent 3 hours socializing and enjoying a smattering of cocktails - love the setting. Look forward to going back and trying one of the burgers at some point.
