    Onion Rings

Recently dined at Captains Quarters with a group. Lots of parking in front of the building. I wasn't greeted when I entered which is fine since my party had already arrived but I ended up walking all around to try to find them. It's a huge restaurant with indoor, bar, patio and outside seating. Service was great, and very attentive. I ordered the chili lime shrimp tacos and onion rings - food arrived quickly but was a bit bland. Shrimp was tasty but served in a regular store bought soft taco - I ended up not eating the taco since it wasn't heated up and had no flavor. The onion rings were good but nothing out of the ordinary. Views are spectacular - food is so so.

It was ok not great just ok nothing to really rave about, the views made up for the lackluster food. We ordered a hot brown, wedge salad and boom boom shrimp and chicken pasta it was good but nothing grand. I don't think I would return unless it was for brunch and for the outdoor views

This is of course a beautiful place with a great view! And the food was good - we got the shrimp appetizer, shrimp entree, and salmon entree. I was disappointed to see the crab cakes had been removed from the menu and overall there wasn't much seafood on the menu at all for being a place by the river with an overall vibe that seemed like they would have seafood. The service was decent and like I said, the food was good. Servings were a bit small for the price and the menu was a tad bit disappointing. Ambiance is amazing though.

My friend hosted her 50th Birthday party on the yacht it was an amazing experience the ambience on a cruise while the sun sets is breathtaking. The service of the crew including the Captain was top notch. And the food was good.

I always enjoy CQ, for the view and the boat watching! Beautiful spot on the river to dine. Service is always pretty slow. Don't come if you are in a hurry. The food is generally good. Today I had a fish sandwich. It was a good piece of fish and I like their breading. It was very dry though. No tartar sauce, no coleslaw came with it, which it was supposed to have. It takes a long time to get waited on and then a long time to wait to get the check. I would have had another drink but was afraid that would be another hour of waiting. I always come for the view though!

CQ hit it out of the park today. Clearly short of staff, they still managed timely service. We had 6 for lunch and they still served up hot food and brought it to the table in a single service. (Something I've learned to appreciate). The kids liked their pizza and chicken fingers. The grownups ran the gamut. Two fresh salads (spinach and Greek) topped with chili lime grilled shrimp. A Harrods burger grilled to medium as requested, and a cod sandwich on rye. All perfectly prepared. The fries were a thicker cut, but crispy on the outside while soft inside. They were so good, my grandson wouldn't share. (Santa's gonna remember that). Chips & queso were just average, but the peel it yourself shrimp were crisp and perfectly seasoned. The kitchen was cooking today and the servers were hustling. It's great when both sides of service mesh so well. Kudos to Captain Quarters.

The food was very flavorful and creamy. The wine was tasty. The service was fast and they were so polite. The view is amazing. There was a lite breeze and you can see out to the water and the lower areas where people can walk.

Angel was our server and he was very attentive and extremely kind. We ordered the Boom Boom Shrimp for an app. I had the Chili Lime Shrimp Tacos and my wife had the Grouper Parmesan Pasta. Food tasted great. Lots of flavors. The view is amazing as well.

The view... the view... the view! We visited on a Friday night. Live music and boat watching. We only had drinks so I can't speak to the food. There is plenty of lawn seating.. grab an Adirondack chair and a beverage and watch the sunset. Our stay was short but we really enjoyed the atmosphere.

I've been here a few times with friends and I've always had great service! The servers are always helpful and patient, especially with large parties. The chicken Caesar salad is really good but for me, the fries were a bit too crispy. Definitely recommend for any celebrations or a quick dinner.

this place is not worth the money. side salad is $7 and it's nothing but a bowl of lettuce. the fried green tomatoes were horrible. the tomato fell out of the batter. my food along with my son's food was cold. the seafood trio was not worth $32. my wife liked her hot brown but has had much better at ganders. our guest liked her salmon salad. I couldn't get a water refill for 20 minutes. our waiter asked us for a dessert order while we were still eating our main course. we did receive a free birthday dessert of derby pie which was excellent. overall, the meal was not worth the money. way over priced. the Brussel sprouts were decent and the onion rings were ok.

Started with the crab dip- great flavor and texture, fresh scallions and shaved cheese which helped build up the crab flavor- even got extra bread for the dip since it was a good sized portion, Baby green salad- fresh, crisp lettuces, cucumbers and tomatoes in a vinaigrette Bacon wrapped pork loin was flavorful and tender on the inside while the bacon was crispy and cooked to perfection. The highlight was the squash - almost like a veggie lasagna. Char grilled cab ribeye- cookedto perfection (medium rare) with potatoes. Balsamic fingerling potatoes- while they had agreat taste and texture- little too sweet. Finished with a key lime pie- heaven in a pie crust- great key lime flavors, meringue was to perfection!

Definitely burnt my mouth because I was impatient Hawaiian Fish- Big portions! It is true when they say that everything is bigger in the south! The fish was light and free of the fishy scent. The rice was a bit mushy from the cook and the addition of sauce. Angus Filet Mignon- standard. The filet was cooked nicely and the lobster compound butter was a nice touch. I'm not sure if the $2 version was a smaller size or only offered at certain times, but honestly... the drinks were still worth it. The flavor was amazing, and unlike a lot of brunch drinks that taste watered down, these were actually strong. Two glasses definitely had me feeling tipsy, so I can't complain too much there. The main reason I took off a star was the parking situation and accessibility concerns. The handicap parking is positioned perpendicular to the main road, which honestly feels unsafe when backing out. If someone already has mobility or visibility limitations, backing directly into a busy road can be stressful and dangerous. The rest of the parking area is also gravel, which can be difficult to navigate with mobility aids, wheelchairs, walkers, or even just for someone unsteady on their feet. It's one of those situations where it's great that handicap parking exists close to the entrance, but the actual setup still creates challenges. Outside of that, the drinks themselves were genuinely really good, the atmosphere was fun, and I'd probably still come back for another brunch date.

It was very rich, but good. I had the lasagna. At first glance, I thought to myself that nobody should have let it out of kitchen. Someone put it under broiler way too long, edges were black and it was very dry. I later took it home, added some marinara, sliced the burnt parts off. It was constructed perfectly, very thin layers, not overstuffed. Just overdone. I think next time we will try a seafood dish. Service was prompt and friendly.

The one hostess we were talking to kind of laughed and another hostess walked over to the first one, whispered something in her ear. Then the first one said they couldn't seat us. My daughter asked how long the wait was. The hostess paused and finally said about 30 minutes. We left because the vibe they were giving us was that they didn't want to seat us which I didn't understand. We were well dressed so I couldn't imagine it was our attire, but that was the vibe they were giving us. When we left, I told my kids it must be because we didn't have a reservation. I was trying to the hostesses the benefit of the doubt. My daughter got online and made a reservation for 30 minutes out, as we all decided we really wanted to try Stoney River. We walked back in 5 minutes before our reservation. Now there were about 5 hostesses behind the counter. I could tell from their faces that they recognized us and a couple of them were whispering again. I walked up to the counter and gave them our reservation information and they said ok. While we were eating we saw them walking by the kitchen looking at us again. This was not a look as if they were checking on us. Our server was nice and did a good job. The food and wine were fine but I have to say the experience with the hostesses really ruined the experience that I couldn't even focus on the food. Unfortunately, we won't be back. It was the oddest experience I've ever had at a restaurant.
