Her heartfelt words wrapped around my core; saying WELCOME HOME. Oh, and it was home at its finest. From the 4pm welcome social, that included delicious White & Red wines that danced graciously on your palate. Various delectable cheeses, crackers, olives & thinly sliced turkey meats. YUMMY, they were! Movie nights, s'more's & more libation at your choice. The next morning, a scrupulously delicious breakfast was served; with a fresh brewed coffee from Ethiopia & a freshly squeezed grapefruit hearty drink. Yoga awaits me at 11am. I'm now chilling at the warm pool ‍ until my 2:30 Swedish massage ‍. Tonight (11/8), Saturday with my incredible cousins and their lovely friends who joined us on a "Cousin's Girl Weekend", will be celebrating me & my birthday . No words to describe this woman...she is simply the best host I've ever met in all my stays elsewhere. Never felt more at home & cared for! Then there is The beautiful RIVER that runs through it.....pure Magic to be held by this beautiful element! It was such a gift to wake up to the sound of it & be able to just go outside side in pajamas to sit and receive waves of deep peace first thing in the morning...just aaahhhhhh!! It was the weekend of Halloween so it was still decorated with lots to look at. Drink-wise, we started with the Rose and the Pink Cobbler which was like a fruity twist on an Old Fashioned. We ordered the Shaved Brussel Sprouts pizza to share along with the Lobster Crisps to start. The lobster was YUM. It was a cold lobster served with house chips. The pizza was great! It wasn't heavy and included fall flavors such as butternut squash. For dessert, we shared the ricotta zeppoles which came with a chocolate sauce. Service was excellent. Valley Rock Inn Cantina is a little slice of heaven away from the noises of NYC and yet you don't feel like you're in Rockland County. It's hard to explain but it transports you to somewhere else.
