This place is Magic! It's a sweet little oasis that holds such healing power. I needed a break & deep rest from a hectic time. I got that! I feel like all the elements conspire in this little corner of the world to make you feel at peace. First, there is Missy!!! No words to describe this woman...she is simply the best host I've ever met in all my stays elsewhere. Never felt more at home & cared for! Then there is The beautiful RIVER that runs through it.....pure Magic to be held by this beautiful element! It was such a gift to wake up to the sound of it & be able to just go outside side in pajamas to sit and receive waves of deep peace first thing in the morning...just aaahhhhhh!! I have to say, Gaias Garden was pure heaven. I work a high stress job in NYC, needed a weekend escape, and I found this place which was only a little over an hour commute. Missy made me feel at home, relaxed and truly welcome. Not only did she take me hiking in the Appalachian mountains every day, she cooked the most delish organic food, AND she did reflexology on my feet!! My experience with Gaia's Garden was pure bliss and unexpected delight at a time when stress and worries took over my life. I work in NYC doing temp work in the Financial Service industry. The stress originated from losing everything to hurricane Sandy, including our home. This was coupled with health issues in my own family, including effective loss of vision in one eye. As I scheduled cataract surgery around Thanksgiving of 2013, I knew I needed to decompress and to clear my head. Gaia's Garden was only two hours away by bus and served vegetarian meals - that was something I was looking for. The experience was much better than I would have had the right to hope for. We went hiking on Appalachian Trail for a couple of hours. I learned to meditate during the walk because it was a silent hike for a part of the trip. It does wonderful things for mindfulness and self-awareness. The meals that Missy prepared were delicious and incredibly nutritious. I found myself eating less and doing more. Upon return home, I found that I lost 5.5Lbs. It is something I have sustained and have now increased to a total loss of 24Lbs. I credit my experience with Missy with starting that personal transformation. I loved the Bed and Breakfast feel of Gaia's Garden. I had a very nice room, but honestly spent very little time there. I was too busy with Missy taking me to fun places and interesting activities. The yoga classes were fabulous, both at Gaia's Garden and at the nearby yoga studio. Warwick is a fun little town to stroll through. The Farmers Market was terrific. I took tons of home-made baked goodies and bread back home to Staten Island. The Appalachian Trail experience is something I still think about every day. It comes back to me every day when I walk my 10000 steps as part of my exercise regimen. Missy was kind enough to hook me up with Mary Elizabeth - a licensed massage therapist who is also very good at picking up what is going on inside one's body and mind in terms of stress. Mary Elizabeth is a national treasure as far as I am concerned. She has a profound understanding of the body systems and actually helps treat the underlying issues that you may not even be aware of. A visit with Mary Elizabeth is worth the trip to Gaia's Garden for a weekend. I can't say enough of good things about this experience. Missy is very much a centerpiece of it all. She is a generous spirit, a fabulous story teller, and a delightful hostess. Do yourself and your body a favor and visit Gaia's Garden for a memorable experience you will not soon forget. It is in close proximity to NYC and is easily reachable by car or bus. It is well worth your time and will provide tranquility, rejuvenation, and much needed stress relief. There isn't enough I could say about Gaia's Garden Retreat to give you the full depth of the wonderful experience we had there. My mom has an extremely stressful job, and I wanted to take her some place where she could just breathe and relax, and we did exactly that and so much more. Missy is a ray of light and love, and you can see it and feel it whenever you're in her presence. We did yoga, and she took us for massages, hiking, and to an open air market, and we received the most blissful reflexology! Her home is an oasis, where you can't help but feel comfortable, cozy and relaxed. She prepared us some unbelievable organic dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We laughed and talked and shared, and it was so wonderful!! My mom and I can't wait to go back and visit Missy. We were sad to leave! I know it sounds too good to be true, but it really almost is. Missy has created a slice of heaven in her home, and any amount of time spent there will not be regretted. At the very least, you will have made a wonderful friend. read more

After going through a stressful year I couldn't have found a more peaceful and rejuvenating place for nourishing both my mind and body. Missy, the owner and chef, and Gaias Garden are both centering and as lovely as imaged from the images on the website. I immediately felt as though everything was being taken care of without having to ask for anything. Yum, the all organic meals were delicious and I got to take home the recipes. In the charming nearby town of Warwick Missy arranged for me to have the best massage and facial I'd ever had. Now that I know how wonderful Gaias Garden Retreat is to rejuvenate my mind and body I will be back again and again. read more

Ahhhh Gaia's Garden..... Words can't describe the experience! As a store owner, I was seriously at my wits end struggling with employees, the economy & balancing home life. I went to Gaia's Garden for an escape. The experience was so surreal. When I first arrived the sound of the creek was welcoming. Missy gave me such a gift of relaxation with reflexology & meditation. I finally learned the correct way to meditate! She gave me instruction through breathing exercises & visualizations. I'm normally not one who can sit still comfortably, so I was so happy when our conversation led to a sacred geometry garden that Missy was planning to add to the beautiful grounds of Gaia's Garden. I said, "Let's do it!" There is something so special about gardening & connecting with the earth. Since I haven't had the time to work in any garden since I opened my store, I was very happy to have the opportunity! The sacred geometry garden came out beautiful & turned out to be a magnificent place for meditation! Missy does such a wonderful job tailoring the experience to your needs because she understands that we are all individuals. We went hiking & to the small town of Sugar Loaf filled with quaint shops. The accommodations were excellent! The room w/private bath was very comfortable. I must say, it was the most relaxing weekend of my life! I can't wait to go back! I highly recommend Gaia's Garden Retreat to everyone & anyone! read more
