But they changed the menu and replaced it with a different taco that had portobello mushrooms. He created both of them so I had to try it. It was to die for and I am not a vegetarian! We came here for the first time today. We sat at the bar and ordered a drink and there was a happy hour and It said 2 street tacos for $5. Wife and I ordered 2 tacos each and some rice. As said had already ordered a beer and a margarita before the food and the bartender then told us the beer was $2 off and margarita $5. We got our bill and my beer was $10 for a 22 ounce beer that they said was on happy hour. All 4 of our tacos were full price, No happy hour price. I feel bad I tipped 20% on the full price since didn't want to look cheap when my bill should have been much less. read more

Was excited to try this place and realllyyyyy wanted to like it... unfortunately that wasn't the case. The only thing that really matters is the food. I didn't love the atmosphere, but the menu sounded good and I was hopeful. We ordered the trio dip with the queso, guacamole, and salsa. Shrimp street taco, vegetarian breakfast taco, elote, and two aqua frescas. The pros: I actually really liked the vegetarian breakfast taco. I appreciate all the ingredients added. the salsa that comes with the trio was pretty good. The guacamole was fresh, fine, but not memorable. The chips were good. The elote was good. Fun hot Cheeto on top. Cons: it was the worst queso I've ever had. And I've had chipotles. The shrimp taco couldn't be finished. Tiny little shrimpys that were over cooked, dry, and fishy. Horchata was both extremely sweet but also sour??? Couldn't drink it. The taco salsas that you get on the side were underwhelming. The vibe is very want to be trendy. Reminds me of 2019 Austin new restaurants - behind the times. Went during the day and the music was way too loud. Saw multiple groups of people moving tables to try to get as far away from the speaker as possible. I understand that they stay open late, so it's probably a different vibe at night. And I do imagine the food is probably better after a few drinks as well. I do like that there is a patio. The service was ok... nice enough but also seemed annoyed when taking our order because she could barely hear us over the music. Only one cashier working the front so there was a long line to order. Also that's where you get Togo containers so everything just kinda took awhile. Overall, we left feeling dissatisfied. The carne asada tacos were very tasty but the barbacoa wasn't our favorite. The beef short rib was flavorful but extremely greasy and fatty, also underseasoned. On April 16th, my husband and I chose this establishment to g0o on a date.  We ordered food and drinks and then had to get in line again at the bar to get our drinks. It was a busy night, so we had to sit outside,  my husband began to drink his beer when his lip got stuck to the schooner, and he began to bleed. His cup had a huge crack going right down the middle.  While my husband went to the restroom to clean up  I took the cup to the register. The cashier turned around and told the general manager what had happened. He didn't even bother to turn around to acknowledge me..  no apologize.  He walked off to the bar, so I followed the bartender simply gave me a new beer.  I felt it was extremely unprofessional and rude for the management not to even acknowledge the situation or apologize on behalf of the restaurant. Food portions is the thing here, they give you exactly your moneys worth, I ordered for 2, ended up getting a meal for 3 to 4 people. Well Seasoned, and give you a variety of flavors to enjoy. It could have been an off night because we've heard good things, but it was underwhelming. Every aspect of our food was wrong. We didn't get the right drinks, they gave us wrong food, when we brought it back they gave us new food but it was also wrong. Tacos were lukewarm at best, we were never offered any salsa with our order and when we got there at 430pm there were multiple dirty tables and staff just standing around, so we just cleaned a table to have space for family of 5. I will try the other selections soon. premixed machine margaritas very lacking in lime and flavor the premixed pour in the plastic premix for the rocks margaritas very disappointing even with premium tequila. Outdoor area nice and a great location but if they are going to make it in an area with alot of food choices better figure out bar service as good tacos go with good drinks every-time. The tacos tejano are amazing! The brisket was smoky, a little sweet, and super tender! I had a side of elite which was creamy and delicious. I also absolutely loved their creamy green sauce. It's a no for me due to bad service TWICE from the bar. First time it was with my fiance and the bartender I guess was doing shift change. (Old black man with beard and maybe twist or dreads??) That's fine....he takes our order and immediately hands us the ticket. We wanted to order more drinks...the new bartender came already so why not just transfer us over instead of rushing us?? The kicker is...he stayed for almost an additional hour so what the heck??2nd time was with the female named Katrina...some lightskin tomboy. We came in 1hr and 30 mins til closing time. The vibes were so cold and unwelcoming. I could understand if we came in like 10-15 before they close but Jesus Christ really? The bartender was rude and didn't even hold conversation. Just a here's your food and is that all yall want??? Like okay cool. Both times I've been here...we've just been rushed to get out. It really sucks because the food is good but not worth having a bad experience every time... Went in to try this new restaurant on taco Tuesday. It is just average. Had high hopes. Got a margarita that I'm not sure had even an ounce of tequila. On the street tacos, avoid the chicken and the flour tortillas which taste like cardboard. Stick to the Al Pastor and Carne Asada with corn which are palatable. Incredible hidden gem in Atlantic City. The food is delicious. I particularly recommend the steak tacos, the Tacos de pollo dorados and the Elote. Their hot chocolate is authentic also. This is a family owned restaurant so, Don't expect the typical rush of the Atlantic City restaurant. Also, you can bring your own drinks. I highly recommend this place. read more
