Umm, excuse me, these are some of the BEST TACOS I'VE EVER HAD??? I ordered a chilaquiles plate, chicharron tacos, pastor tacos, and carne asada tacos for takeout. The chilaquiles plate was nothing special. I wouldn't get it again. It came with thick and chunky breakfast potatoes and you can choose either a side of rice or refried beans. I like my tortilla chips crunchy and not super soggy? And the eggs were overcooked. BUT THE TACOS BRO. All the tacos are flavorful and full of meat. Out of the ones I got, my favorite ones were the chicharron. Super crispy and delicious! All the tacos came with spicy but really good sauce, cilantro onions, and lime. The pastor tacos were also very very good and the carne asada ones were also good but more on the dry side. I would definitely recommend coming here for their tacos. read more

For the previous eight-and-a-half years, I have lived in the apartment complex literally right behind the restaurant. In all those years, I have never eaten at Benito's. What was I waiting for? The food was delicious and comparably priced. I had the fajita nachos while my sister had the tacos. Yummy! The restaurant is super-small with only a few tables. Overall, the place seemed clean. The tacos may be a little more expensive than what you're used to for real tacos, but they put in a lot of meat. Got three tacos, and came away feeling satisfied in the full-but-not-too-full kind of way. Got the tacos with Chicaron, pollo, barbacoa. The chicaron is really good; that crispy goodness yo, can't go wrong. Even the chicken is good since it's not dry. I really do want to come back to Benito's--the tacos are authentic and well made. I needed to find something near my job for a rapid lunch, and decided to stop in. First off, do not mistake this "Benito's" for the Benitos of old, it's not one on the same. That said, I ordered 2 chicharron en verde and one lengua taco. The lengua was not the most fresh. I don't think I would order it again. I wish I had snapped a pic, but I didn't care for it and tossed it right away. The chicharron was "different". I was a little confused because there was some fried pork belly, but also pork rinds (?), and it made for an interesting combo. I think I would have preferred their pork rind version, alone. Both salsas were mild. And "different". Either way, I think I'll just pop in to QT next time and grab a Cheesewich, instead. read more

I want to love you Benito's...but I just can't. I love the divey little Mexican restaurant feel and the fact that it's super close to my house but that's about it. I had a ceviche salad that tasted a little off and a lot of bland. The guacamole was pretty bland too. Nothing really seemed fresh. Even the chips were kind of funky. The margaritas were okay. I walked in at 11:45 AM on a Saturday. They already had their lunch stuff out, but I was hungry for scrambled eggs in a tortilla. They were very happy to whip it up for me right away. They added potatoes into the mix, which was awesome. Their beans and rice are exquisite. The best I've had in a while. So flavorful. The eggs were great too.
