I ordered a grilled chicken quesadilla with a side of guac and my husband ordered the fajita burrito. We were with friends and the four of us got through two baskets if chips before our food came. My quesadilla was large but was carelessly assembled - all of the meat and cheese were stuffed in the center. It was easy to spread out but still. It would have been nice if it had been sliced into wedges but whatever. The quesadilla tasted fine but was nothing to write home about. My guacamole was a pretty simple blend of mashed avacado and seasoning. It worked. Where the meal went downhill was with my husband's burrito. This is a guy who isn't afraid to tackle the unknowns in the back of the fridge. When he says something is awful, it usually is. He couldn't pinpoint what was wrong - it was just bad. He should have sent it back. He finished the accompanying rice and beans and part of my quesadilla and just left most of the burrito. Our friends ordered the Burrito Tampico and the Pollo Nayito. The burrito was rated as "meh". What saved this review from being a two star was the Pollo Nayito. It looked like a goopy mess but my friend said it was delicious. Another odd note - our drinks were served in giant glasses. That sounds great but they were filled to the brim with crushed ice so we had to keep asking for refills. The price of the food was very reasonable though I'd rather pay a little more and have higher quality food. The next time I'm down at the lake and decide I want Mexican, I'll make my own.
