I heard great things about this company so I went with them because I broke my ankle right before a trip to Universal and Disney. They delivered it right to my hotel which was great, but then it went downhill. A fully charged scooter was supposed to last about six hours and it barely made it to three without needing to be recharged. Luckily, I was able to walk around enough without it that it didn't alter my trip. I walked around the parks while I charged it yet again to a full charge. About three hours later, it started to die yet again. I had to walk for another hour around on my broken ankle while it charged so that I could actually use it to get back to the hotel. I called the company on Tuesday after getting home extremely early on Monday morning to discuss the issues that I had with the scooter. A service representative stated that they couldn't do anything, but they would put my information on their supervisors desk and that I should get a call from them the next day. That was fine with me. Wednesday came and went and no call. I called again on Friday and they said the same thing. I finally got through to a supervisor who asked me what I would like him to do about the issue. I stated it would be nice to get a discount because of the issues I stated. He then stated that he couldn't do that because I waited almost a week to call about it. He said that I should have called them immediately even if I was at one of the parks. This is where I got frustrated. I told him in no way was I going to waste my time calling the company during my vacation time. I proceeded to state that this was the third time I have tried to call them to get an answer this week and his response was that he could give me a free rental next time I needed one. I said forget it since I don't plan on having a broken leg or ankle next time I go on vacation. I also had to rent the scooter for two days (which is fine), but I was only using it for one day. I thought maybe they would be nice enough to refund one day since it wasn't used or because the battery seemed to be faulty, but they didn't seem to care. I will not be using this company again and I would definitely not recommend it to anyone as well. read more

When in Disney world, a wheelchair or scooter is a necessity for anyone who has trouble walking all those miles and miles in your Disney day. There are wheelchairs and scooters to rent in the Disney parks but i didnt want my mom to have to walk to get to the wheelchair in that park so enter Buena Visa Rentals. Reservations were super easy to make online and the prices were extremely reasonable. When i arrived at our hotel (the swan and dolphin), i asked the front desk where my wheelchair was and it was very easy to find (right outside the lobby area with a tag with my name on it). Return of the wheelchair was easy as well, just take it to the bell desk. Very easy and the wheelchair came in extremely handy, especially since we walked to Epcot and Disney Hollywood Studios. Definitely recommend using this place if you're in need of a wheelchair or scooter! read more

Was going to rent a wheelchair for my Mom's visit as their rental prices were very competitive. Ended up just buying it for lower than rental price and mom was so happy for the use at the theme parks, beach, and mall. Matt was so friendly and accommodating that he put several used wheelchairs in the front to chose the next day. Test drove them and all were in great shape! Loved this company for scooter rental at Disney World. They deliver to the Disney resorts. On time delivery and pick up. Great alternative to scooter bug ( owned by Disney). Machine was better. I got the one with the sunscreen and backpack on the back. It saved everyone carrying their own stuff. One thing that sets them apart is the rain shield for the controls. Hello... it rains in Florida like every day. The machines need to be protected in the rain or they stop! It rained 4 out of 6 days. I mean it poured. Shield worked perfectly to protect it so the rain didn't slow us down. They even gave me a rain poncho. Plus a case of water to take into the parks. Super friendly staff. Was trying to Trent a scooter and pick it up so I could take my father to visit my Moms gravesite with him not being able to walk far. All of the others that I called did not allow pick up and required staying at one of the theme park resorts. Got it right away from them and they had a self pickup discount. This made my Father's Day being able to make the trip to Cape Canaveral National Cemetery. He said it made his day. Was able to take it back a day sooner than rented for and gave a credit back. (Company is not connected to Disney). battery on scooter would not charge. Scooter company representative said there were not enough employees to send someone to Old Key West ( a Disney hotel) to replace the battery or scooter. They would only send someone if the scooter died in a park ( Epcot, Magic Kingdom, Studios, or Animal Kingdom). Not reassuring to a 71 year old customer. Not empathetic or very polite on the phone. I have rented a scooter from them multiple times, and never had an issue. You want your scooter rental to be a forgettable experience, lol. You just want it at your hotel when you get there, want it to work when you need it, and return it at your hotel hassle free, and that's exactly what they do! We have rented from them 3 times now, the scooters have always been there when we arrived and been in good condition. We always charge it overnight, but we never even have to! After using it all day, it's usually only gone down one battery light. Using a scooter in the parks and at the resorts is really easy, too. They fit through all the lines for the rides, there's always places to park them, and the cast members know how to maneuver them because so many people at Disney use them! The drivers will help you get it on and off the Disney busses, too, and the monorail is super easy! If you ever did have an issue, they also will come into the park and get you a new scooter. Fortunately we've never had this happen, but it's nice to know they'll come help you if you need it. I will continue to rent from them while at Disney. read more

We had occasion to rent scooters in Orlando. Rental #1 was awesome. Standard scooter, very quick, held a charge forever. Rental #2 - meh. Not so quick, not as clean, wouldn't hold a charge. Initial charge lasted about 4 hours. Then it died 3 times between Epcot and our hotel (The Swan, a short walk away.) We charged it enough each time to get to the next outlet. There was pushing involved. Ugh. So the 4 stars are for excellence of placing the orders (we changed hotels mid- stream, so they had to do 2 orders.) Prompt delivery and pickup- the scooters were at the hotels when promised, and picked up from hotels - so easy. read more

I cannot give enough kudos to Buena Vista Rentals! I recently went to Disney and stayed at Shades of Green. Due to a recent surgery I am having to use crutches, so I rented a scooter for my trip. To make it more fun, I got a Star Wars themed ride. I requested BVR add a "crutch holder" attachment, and confirmed my purchase. 20 minutes later I got a call from them confirming the order! They let me know it would be at the resort the evening I arrived. When we got to the resort, my scooter wasn't there. The resort (not affiliated with BVR) wasn't helpful saying "that's not our problem" when the girl on crutches with luggage couldn't find her scooter. I emailed BVR customer service and let them know the scooter wasn't there. We planned to get into the park by 8am and their office didn't open until 8:30am. They called me at 7:45am about my scooter. Apparently, when making my reservation I had a blonde moment, and I booked the scooter for the wrong weekend. The lady at the office went above and beyond to help me out! She called her delivery driver, then promptly called me back saying they could have the scooter at my resort by 11am but he didn't have a charger for it. She assured me he would bring the charger to the resort by 8pm. When we got back from the park, the charger was at the bellhop, as well as a complementary misting fan! Lastly, the scooter I rented typically has a large storage bag on the back of it. Since I needed a crutches holder, the bag had to be removed. They didn't charge me extra for the crutches holder! I highly recommend this company. They went above and beyond to help me at the last minute when I was the one who made the mistake! Not to mention, the galactic scooters made being temporarily disabled so much more fun! read more

We rented in Jan 2024, it was in perfect shape, ready for us at Cabana Bay by 8am the morning we requested. My grandson is 48 pounds, we got the one that was for up to 80#. Posted a review about lousy service in Oct. We rented a scooter that had a faulty battery while meeting our family from N.J. at Disney. Battery died, wouldn't take a charge, and we had to get a replacement for which we were charged extra. Guy who brought it confirmed battery was faulty. We were not to blame. Called company when we got home and were told they'd have to review our account. Well over a month and still have heard nothing...not even an apology for the inconvenience of having to sit in the hot sun, missing time with our grandkids, and ruining our vacation. I am elderly, handicapped, and a recent cancer patient. Didn't really expect a refund, but a phone call and an apology would have been nice. It's the principle of the matter! My family recently rented four scooters for our Disney vacation. After riding Flight of Passage in Animal Kingdom my scooter stopped working. I called their 1-800 number. The operater was very rude to me. I am on a scooter so I must have mobility issues. I was told that I needed to push the scooter out of the ride and down several ramps to the bottom of the ride. The operater was very rude , not helpful and did not attempt to help until I said that I would give them a bad review. WOW! Customer service was above and beyond! Brought my personal scooter with me and sadly the batteries were not having the extra ride time! Used them for my trip to Disney World. The experience was seamless. Called and made a reservation. They dropped the mobility scooter off at the resort. It was there when I arrived. It looked like it was brand new. Used it the whole time we were there with no problems. Never came close to running out of battery power. When we departed I left it with the bell hops and the company came back to pick it up. Never needed to call them because the scooter was perfect. I would definitely recommend them and will use them again in the future. read more

Awesome! My father traveled with us to Disneyworld and we rented from Buena Vista Scooter. His scooter was ready at bell services and we hit the parks as soon as the magical express dropped us off at our resort. The transaction was so easy and convenient. I then returned it at 11:45 pm 3 days later to the same place and that was that. The charge was great as it lasted us the whole day!! My dad is 5ft 7" and weights about 189lbs so the scooter kept its charge from 7 am to 11 pm each day. Here is one thing I must add: I wish these scooters or any by any means could not be pushed when the keys are off as there was 2 instances where 2 ladies tried to push them to take with them. I didn't get it. :( I wrapped my scarf around the steering handle to identify it when we were coming back from rides. Even then, 2 times I had to stop someone from thinking it was theirs( but they didn't even had a key) ughh so annoying. Not Buena vista fault at all, they were great and their scooter was clean and it almost new condition. I enjoyed their service and price was amazing!! read more

Booking and convenient delivery at our resort . Scooter worked well until later in the evening. Started to stop in the middle of the road at our resort. Noticed charge was low so charged all night . By morning didn't charge. Called the company and they said to call when we got to Hollywood studios. We did, my husband had to wait in the car for and hour and a half , so didn't get into the park till 11, having to return at 3. So the 2 day rental wasn't 2 days since we had to return by 3. I've given this company 1 star because they took my scooter back early from my hotel concierge with all of my belongings in the scooter. No one contacted me to ask if it was to be returned. I had the concierge desk holding the scooter while I went to dinner. They claimed they returned the items the first week of May, but the postmark was May19. I just received the package today and several of the items were missing. When I called To check the status of the mailing date they took no responsibility for the mishap and said the items were mailed. Now my name brand black summer shirt has not been returned along with a few other items. Bad company. Do not rent from them. read more

I had expected my scooter this afternoon, but when we saw the truck in the lot this morning, I was able to get it. Norman, from buena vista, was extremely helpful and showed us everything. Taking it apart, charging the battery etc. He was amazing. In addition to the scooter and charging devices, you get a free poncho, one for the scooter and I was told they will come to the park to help with any equipment problems. I as impressed. I rented an ECV for a two week stay in WDW. I had mechanical problems in the park. I called and reported the problem and told them where I was in the park. They advised me it would be an hour until a replacement unit could be delivered. In 45 minutes Matthew from Buena Vista Scooters was calling me to tell me where to find him. Excellent service from Marcie in the office and Matthew on the delivery. I didn't miss a moment of park time as I was exiting a ride when I received the call. Absolutely use this company. read more

Rented a scooter for week during some of the highest crowds at Disney. Convenient pick up and drop off right at our hotel and was waiting for us when we checked in. The first day the scooter actually had battery issues within the first hour....attempted to charge ourselves off and on at the park....but eventually called and Cody came to our rescue within an hour! He switched out the scooter and the rest of the week was amazing! Second scooter lasted the whole day and never lost more than 2 bars of power. Speed was faster than the ones Disney had for rent too. Do not rent from this company. Look for other options. They were late in delivering my rental. They rented me a specific scooter and showed up with a different one which did not fit in my trunk so we had to put it in the backseat. If we were traveling with 4 people instead of two, we would have had a serious problem. Also, this scooter was heavy and it was challenging to lift it into the car. I can't imagine what other less capable people would do in certain circumstances when no help was around. So, I called the parent company to tell them about the issue, and they said they would try to get me the correct scooter the next day, but they didn't even bother to call to let me know the situation. Poor customer service, bait and switch, inconsiderate, and seemingly unwilling or unable to solve problems or make amends. Once they have your money nothing else matters. And in case you are wondering, the scooter did damage the back seat. I called to ask them if they would consider compensation since this issue was due to them not delivering the correct scooter, and I did not get a call back.
