We first started doing this in magical midway, but when that felt too rickety and unsafe, we started looking for other parks, and that's when we found fun spot! We would go multiple times a year every year when we were younger and always took advantage of the anniversary ticket prices. They have a convenient parking garage where the first three floors are paid parking, while the fourth floor and above are free. That was a nice bonus and made getting there easy. I was actually on my way to a restaurant, so exploring the park wasn't part of the plan. But once I walked inside, I couldn't help but look around. There were restaurants, food vendors, candy shops, drink stands, and so much more. The atmosphere was lively, fun, and full of energy. It looked like the perfect place for families, couples, or anyone just looking to spend a few hours enjoying themselves. This is a short review because I didn't get the chance to experience everything Icon Park has to offer. However, based on my first impression alone, I can definitely say I'll be back. It was filled with excitement for both children and adults, and I'm looking forward to exploring it even more on my next visit.

All three of these together took up about two hours and then we were able to go to Cafe tu tu tango to get a bite to eat. This was a great half day experience while we were visiting Orlando. There was a parking garage and parking was super easy. By that time we left around 8:30 PM there were so many cars, but when we first got there at about 5 PM there were tons of spots. They do have parking spots you can pay for in the lower levels so it seems like if you're willing to pay there will always be parking. If you want free parking, you need to go earlier because this seems to be popular for nightlife. I always appreciate when there's so many attractions together that you can walk to. This place has quite a few restaurants, some shops and the attractions all in a contained area. It was very clean and when we came, there was a huge police presence, because apparently a couple weeks before there was hundreds of teenagers that descended to the area and fought. So the place was doing a really good job making sure that everything was safe. This is a place for both families and non-families alike.

We had a beautiful day to visit and smiled throughout the day. Some of our best moments were walking through the various city streets and seeing musical performances and dancing. The walkways were wide and we were never on top of other guests. Most rides had reasonable wait times and/or offered single rider options. The locker areas for cramped, but I appreciated how many of the wait queues were indoors, keeping us cooler and away from the rain. The Harry Potter sections were amazing, just amazing. I couldn't have imagined how it would have felt being in the middle of the space. Restaurants, both sit down and quick service, were scattered throughout the park. I loved that we didn't have to worry plan in advance to get a spot at either. My only downside to Universal Studios is that some of the themes felt outdated or just aren't favorite characters of mine. At least this helped to decrease the temptation of spending money on apparel or merchandise.

Staff we interacted with still did amazing but I do feel like it's time for a few changes. Villains con while a cute experience and fitting to changing that area to minions, took away a nice relief from the heat that was Shrek theater. (And before that Alfred Hitchcock Experience!) The horror make up show was being redone during our trip. A few stores in the Harry potter store felt ... Smaller than I remember, though in that area our intent was mainly looking around. We were able to do everything we wanted to quickly and easily. During a non busy time we did everything my kid wanted to do in about a half a day. Saving a few things for when we did HHN as we knew we needed a few time killers while we waited for the staged openings of the haunts. We skipped the little kids area and Jimmy Fallon, due to lack of interest and not being geared to our age group. I'll be interested to see what they do to bring new life to this park when the Simpsons contract runs out, especially since they are closing the Animal actor experience. So that's a sizeable amount for something new! For HHN, it ran well for us. I liked that they had two houses open at 2, and then we hit some haunts as they opened at 515 or 545. Thought I will say our feet ended up killing us from having to bounce back and forth. Since where they had two haunts that felt like a long walk off to the side where one opened at 2 but the other didn't open for a little more than 3 hours after it, so made for some unexpected back tracking.

There was already a short line, but the staff was friendly, and we got inside without much trouble. Since we'd never been before, I do wish there had been a little more explanation of how everything worked, especially the coins and which activities were included with admission versus which ones cost extra. The kids had a great time. There are a huge number of activities, and most of them are easy enough for young kids to figure out without much instruction. Ours especially loved the tablets with games and the giant Lite-Brite. They also spent some time on the playground, but lost interest once some bigger kids started playing pretty roughly. There's honestly so much going on that it can become a little overwhelming. After a couple of hours, it got fairly loud, and we were all ready for a break. The cafe had a limited food selection, especially if you're looking for something higher in protein, but reentry made it easy to work around. We went to the mall food court for lunch and then came back for a while. The gift shop is excellent and has a lot of creative products you don't normally see. I'd definitely go again, especially now that I understand the layout and how everything works.

We had an amazing time at Epic Universe today!…read more Park admission was $100 per person, and parking was $35. The park opened at 10:00 a.m., and we were there right when the doors opened. We were shocked by how few people were in the park for a Sunday. Most areas were surprisingly empty. We were able to visit all five portals, although we were surprised by the length of some of the ride lines considering how few people seemed to be in the park. Stardust Racers in Celestial Park was the ride we wanted to experience the most, and it only had a 20-minute wait! This was the fastest and most exciting roller coaster I have ever been on. When you board, there are free lockers that use facial recognition to open. The lockers were large enough for my backpack because it wasn't full, but if you have a completely full backpack, it probably won't fit, so I would recommend leaving it behind. The ride has you flying out of your seat the entire time. Definitely unexperienced any roller coaster lover shouldn't miss. We loved Super Nintendo World, but we were disappointed that, even with so few people in the park, the wait for Donkey Kong Mine-Cart Madness was more than 90 minutes. In The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, both of the main attractions were listed as delayed, which essentially meant they were down. One ride was already delayed when we arrived, and the other had a posted wait time of 125 minutes before it became delayed. They were still advising people to stand in line, but there was no ETA for when the ride would reopen. That was frustrating, especially when the park itself was not crowded. We really enjoyed the Frankenstein ride in Dark Universe. The animatronics were very cool and it was not your typical simulation ride where you're sitting still in your seat. That was another highlight of the day. For lunch, we had burgers at the air-conditioned pavilion near Stardust Racers. The burger and fries were about $20. We also tried the mac and cheese cone at Isle of Berk, and that was probably the best theme-park food I have ever had. It had pork, bacon, and bacon jam. The pork had a delicious BBQ sauce, and the bacon jam was perfection. It was $18.99, which sounds expensive, but it was completely worth it! This was my first visit to a Universal park in more than 20 years, and I honestly cannot explain the night-and-day difference between Universal and Disney. There aren't vendors everywhere constantly trying to sell you things, There aren't characters everywhere for you to meet. We did try to meet Toothless but the wait was 60 minutes so we skipped the experience, The individual themed lands aren't enormous, so they are easy to explore without feeling like you're walking miles just to get from one attraction to another. We looked at the cost of the Express Pass, and it would have been about $200 per person for the day. For us, that seemed extremely excessive, especially given how uncrowded the park was. We were also confused by the $35 Power-Up Bands being sold. We only saw one ride where we thought they were used, so we didn't really understand why someone would purchase one. I'm sure there are interactive features throughout Super Nintendo World that we didn't use, but if you're just visiting for the rides, I don't think we would have gotten our money's worth. We also considered purchasing an interactive wand in Harry Potter, but at $65, that seemed a little excessive as well. Overall, we had a fantastic day and would absolutely go back. Stardust Racers alone was worth the trip!

I visited with my best friend, and we had an amazing time. If you love adrenaline and roller coasters, this park is a must-visit!

The opportunity to swim, relax, explore, and enjoy such a gorgeous setting made the day really special. It's also nice not to be bombarded with high parking prices like every other attraction in Orlando. Parking is included in your admission price. Upon arriving, the lines were long to get checked in. It took our family around 20 minutes before we were helped. We had planned on booking the Sea Adventure experience, but it was sold out for the day by the time we got to the front of the line. No biggie saved us some money. Most of the staff was really nice, except a rude older lady that refused to let us get a wetsuit, then yelled at us for trying to use the lockers in front of the wet suit station. She told us to keep walking, until another guest said that all the other lockers were full. We were trying to access a closer locker because my husband is a disabled vet, but she started yelling at us again, telling us those lockers are reserved for people with disabilities. Um, yes, that's why we were trying to use them. We didn't state that my husband had a disability, why should we have to? There was absolutely no reason to have that kind of attitude when you have no idea who could be disabled. This was within the first 15 minutes of entering the park. I heard this lady complaining to the other employees about other things, which was pretty annoying. Lady, if you don't like your job, quit. Us guest paid a lot to visit this park, and your attitude wasn't appreciated. Once we finally got a locker, we were off to enjoy our day. We started off in the reef. We wanted to see the stingrays and fish, but the water was freezing. It would have been nice to have a wetsuit, but the crabby old lady refused to give us one. So, we left that area because it was early and the water was too cold. We went to the lazy river. It was nice, but beware. The bottom can be rough, and you can easily bang yourself up. We had fun floating around, but there was no movement in the water like other water parks. You are swimming or walking the entire time, so it's not as relaxing as an actual lazy river. Expect to work. We still enjoyed it and spent most our day in there. The food was really disappointing. Other than the fresh fruit and salad, the food was low-quality food. The food definitely did not reflect the high cost of admission. So don't let the online pictures fool you. I didn't expect gourmet anything, but I expected the food to be a bit more palatable. Most of our party only ate the salads and fruit. The meat was pretty gross looking; I didn't even bother trying it. So if you're excited for the food portion of your stay, lower your standards. All in all, the park is gorgeous, but it's a one and done for our family. For the price point, there's so many other day excursions you can do in Florida.

In my late teens, I finally found the courage to go on the Hulk ride. It's the fastest and scariest coaster I've ever been on! Hulk yelling at the beginning doesn't help btw! I don't like drop rides, so I avoid the Doom fall. I'm glad Universal and Disney still have an agreement to keep this part of the Island! It would be sad to see it go!
